The large living areas provide plenty of space for everyone to relax together, whether you’re unwinding by the roaring open fire, enjoying a film night in the snug lounge, or challenging each other to a game of snooker in the games room.

The heart of the house is the farmhouse kitchen, fully equipped for group dining with an electric ceramic induction hob inset into the worktop, along with a whole host of additional modern appliances, and a generous dining table where memories are made over hearty meals. Bright and welcoming, it’s the perfect space to come together after a day exploring the surrounding countryside.

Six comfortable bedrooms offer flexible sleeping arrangements, ideal for families and groups. The area

Edge Farm is set three miles from the peaceful village of Lofthouse, right in the heart of Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Surrounded by rolling hills, reservoirs, and heather moorland, it’s the perfect base for walkers, cyclists, and anyone looking to unwind in the countryside.

Lofthouse itself has a welcoming atmosphere, with a traditional pub serving delicious food (The Crown) and easy access to local walking trails, including the Nidderdale Way. Nearby highlights include How Stean Gorge - with caves, via ferrata, and outdoor adventures - and the tranquil Gouthwaite Reservoir, a haven for birdwatchers.

A short drive takes you to charming market towns such as Pateley Bridge, famous for its independent shops and the “oldest sweet shop in England,” and Masham, known for its breweries and historic market square. For day trips, you can explore Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, the spa town of Harrogate, or the wild beauty of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

“Beautiful cottage in a stunning valley. Would highly recommend. I had a mixed age group with an 86 year old and an MS Suffer, and it is worth noting there are a full flight of stairs to descend with all of your luggage and supplies.”

“What a fantastic place. Lovely and cosy. Really enjoyed our time there. Very comfortable and the scenery is absolutely amazing day and night. Clear skies meant that we could do stargazing. The unique weather gave use the most beautiful and dramatic photos. It was large enough to accommodate all 9 of us. The top floor had 4 beds and our girls loved it. The wood fireplace was the icing on the cake. We really enjoyed the cosy nights playing the games provided. If you want to be a little place of magic in the Yorkshire Dales, I would recommend you try to book this place.”

“Hello. I will use this to say how great this place was. If you are looking for place to stay for large group of people (10-14) then this place will be perfect. Yes, it is expensive, but worth every single penny we paid. The privacy, the view and location. Large rooms, kitchen, living room and pool room - brilliant. We are glad that we chose exactly this place. Only down side was that central heating was set on 19 degrees and upstairs rooms and bathrooms was cold and we had to use fire place all the time to keep place warm. Taking into consideration that temperatures are dropping in this time of the year the temperature of the premises should be adjusted (increasing or decreasing) by people who are renting the place and not set by the owner without an ability to change it. Over all great experiences.”
