The property was of a very high standard immaculately clean and well presented, if I had to pick a negative for the property it would be no downstairs toilet which proved a little tiring for my elderly parents, but on the whole it was a fabulous property and would certainly stay their again.

This was our first time in Whitby with family and was very enjoyable. The house was comfortable clean and tidy and easy walking distance to town and beach. We parked one car off road at the property and it was easy to park a second car close by.

Beautiful property 3 min walk from the centre of Whitby. We (3 adults, 2 children) just had a wonderful stay at this property in the October half term. The house was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. Would highly recommend this property for a stay in Whitby!

We spent 4 nights at Ebb Tide and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As a family of four, there was plenty space and the girls especially loved their gorgeous attic bedroom and lovely bathroom! Super clean and very comfortable. Great location too. Would stay there again.

The house was wonderfully warm and cosy, and the furniture was so comfortable. Negative: Nothing at all

We stayed at the property with three small children and found it to be well equipped and very comfortable. The only word of warning I would give is that the staircase to the top floor is very steep. There is one baby gate at the top of that staircase but not on the stairs leading to the first floor, which would be a welcome addition for families with young children. Location for Whitby harbour and driving out of Whitby was great. Will definitely consider staying in this property again when we next visit Whitby.

Very comfortable and lots of attention to detail. Step stairs up to the top floor but excellent addition of a baby gate at the top. Great WiFi Negative: Absolutely nothing!

Fab whitby stay. Positive: This house is stunning. Literally 5 mins walk to the harbour. All the amenities needed whilst there. Comfy beds, spotlessly clean. Beautiful decor. Great hang out with friends. Would definately recommend. Brilliant value for money. Will definately be back 😀

Loved the house, could walk into the main area of town, yes a steep street on the way back but Whitby is like that. Top bedroom has no hanging space except a hook at the back of the door so be aware, we didn’t use is so it wasn’t a problem, and the en-suite was lovely with an egg bath and a large shower, (steep narrow stairs to the upper bedroom). The main bathrooms had a large claw foot bath, and a great shower constant hot water and fluffy towels. Lovely bedrooms with quality bedding and pillows and great full length mirrors. The kitchen had all you could need, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, hob and oven, and except for the two slice toaster, (it really needs to be 4 slice, especially if the house if fully occupied as it take forever to make toast to go round even for the two of us) you couldn’t ask for more, there was even a pod coffee machine. Great dining room with plenty of chairs for full occupancy and the lounge is extremely comfortable with a smart TV. Nice and warm.

It was a lovely weekend and we will be staying again. Positive: It was lovely and clean . It had everything you needed . Dishwasher and washer. Negative: My sister and her husband slept on the attic room she wished that there was a mirror in the bedroom because she had to come downstairs to dry her hair .

High spec house with good sized private parking space. Positive: Plenty of space for the 6 of us. Comfy beds with blinds and heavy curtains at the windows. It was lovely to wake up and look across to the Abbey. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed. Was a nice touch to find some milk on our arrival, as well as some dishwasher tabs and laundry detergent. The towels and linens were of good quality and the place was spotless. The showers had amazing pressure and the baths were luxurious. The house was easy to find and the parking space was a great size for my long 7 seater MPV. A short walk down to the harbour, about 10 minutes from the train station & Co-op, with a short climb back up to the house.

Die Sofas im Wohnzimmer sind sehr gemütlich. Sehr komfortable Betten. Negative: Offenbar wird alles in einen Müllcontainer entsorgt. Kunststoff extra wäre prima, so wie in Whitby vielerorts üblich.

Positive: The place was immaculate, very nice and I don't know if they have only just refurbished, I went in my with camera to note marks on the walls ect and the walls in every room amazing Negative: We found it difficult to arrange oxygen to be dropped off before we arrived for our disabled baby, so we had a company leave it outside the front door just before we arrived, we arranged for the canisters to be collected by the company when we leave also. We was inundated with phone calls asking us to remove them or arrange for them to be removed, I had 4 phone calls that I had to explain they would we removed asap, even one after they was removed on time whilst the cleaner was still at the property. We had informed the host of these plans before arriving whilst trying to plan for them to be delivered, we had also given them the company number for delivery and collection before we arrived as they requested so the host could help with delivery and collection.

An excellent house all round. Quiet location, superbly equipped and super-comfortable with dedicated parking and 5 minutes walk into the centre of Whitby. The parking and access element is really important if you want to explore the surrounding area (eg Robin Hood’s Bay & York) by car. Every room was just perfect, airy / high ceilings with comfortable furniture, and crisp decor. Beds were excellent and bathrooms outstanding. We regularly rent high quality houses and this is easily among the very best. Of note for potential customers with mobility constraints, there is no ground floor toilet and 2 flights of steep stairs.

Very clean comfortable house in excellent location. Positive: Very well equipped and a quiet location but handy for the town centre. Parking space very welcome Negative: Front garden (ie parking space) had some very overgrown vegetation, nobody had thought to keep this under control.

We found "Ebb Tide" easily & left our car in the parking place provided. What a stylish, comfortable apartment, with a great kitchen & dining area,too! Upstairs the beds & bathrooms were well laid out and we each had a good night's rest. Walking distance to great eating, shopping & sightseeing spots was a definite bonus.

Thank you so much - we would definitely come back if we came to Whitby again. Positive: Such a lovely house - even better than in the pictures. It had everything you could need - thoughtful touches like kitchen roll, salt and pepper etc.

Beautifully presented house with off-street parking Positive: Ebb Tide is a beautifully presented house, well equipped and beautifully decorated (I think the stairs/landing carpet was new). It has everything you need for a long or short relaxing stay in Whitby. We stayed during Whitby Regatta weekend and it was a good job that Ebb Tide has it's own car parking space! Not sure if I'd stay during Regatta weekend again as the weather was great and consequently Whitby was rammed. Negative: Nothing really. It's a gentle downhill walk to the town. The railway line cuts off direct access to the river, but that is evident if you look at the location map.

Positive: Parking provided outside front of property. Easy to walk into town.

Great base to explore the area Positive: Lovely house, very clean, well maintained inside, bonus having parking and outside space. Quiet area. Only a short walk into town. Lovely fish and chips from the Railway Chippy. Negative: Just suggestions, but would be nice to have fans in bedrooms and waste bins. Back bedroom on 2nd floor needed more plug sockets and surfaces to put things on. Didn't use bedroom on 3rd floor but didn't seem to have much storage. Also lack of hangers in both wardrobes. Front garden was very untidy and doesn't give a good first impression from the road.

Ebb Tide was a great find! Very walkable into town in a quiet area. Private parking which was a huge bonus! Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, lovely linen, thick white towels! Very comfortable seating in the living room. Outdoor seating. Well equipped kitchen. Brilliant place!

What a fabulous 6 night stay at Ebb Tide, the house is absolutely beautiful with everything you could possibly need. Great communication from Charlie and the location of the house is perfect for exploring Whitby. Only a short walk away to the centre with so many things to do and lovely places to eat/drink. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. The communication before and during the stay were very good and the property guide answered all the questions.

Had a lovely few days at ebb tide. House was immaculate, bedding and towels crisp and clean. Immediately felt comfortable in this home from home. Location was perfect for the short walk to town and added extra of a parking space. Hopefully we can come back soon.

Beautifully restored Victorian villa. Quality fixtures and fittings. Well equipped. Convenient off-street parking space. Good (if rather hilly!) location. Highly recommended.

Within walking distance of beach and things to do in whitby.Great to have on site parking .The house was lovely, we felt very comfortable. It had everything we could want there.If you do walk into whitby its a very steep climb back up to the house.

Once located, we found an exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated house. The kitchen was adequately equipped for preparing simple meals. The crockery & cutlery was of good quality as were the bed linens & towels. A very comfortable living room for bad weather days & acceptable seating in the yard for good weather days. Limited storage for clothes etc which could be an issue if the property was fully occupied. Parking for one car on the drive and one car on the road in front of the drive. The house is in a good location with access down to the harbour, bus stops, train station & well stocked co-op. Upon arrival there was fresh milk, tea, coffee & sugar available. This property is rented out via a holiday company and so lacked some of the personal touches one has come to expect from privately rented Airbnb properties. However contact with the company and the information received prior to arrival was excellent. I would have no qualms about recommending this property.

Directions and instructions worked well ahead of visit. House well styled and exactly as per photos. Beds really comfy and kitchen whilst small was well equipped and easy to keep clean. We enjoyed our stay here. Short walk into town and back but the hill back up to the house is fairly steep and may not work for those with any mobility issues. Similarly house stairs were fairly steep especially up to the upper bedroom. Perhaps a night light, sensor or small lamp that could be left on could be put on landing table near bathroom to alert guests to the steps up and down if they go to the toilet at night.

Absolutely fantastic house and we felt very at home and comfortable. Thanks for your quick response on a Sunday afternoon when we couldn’t find the cutlery drawer. The house had everything we could wish.

The decor is modern and very nice and some of the historical features have been retained. Fully equipped with all the essentials. We found it a great place to stay and homely. I would highly recommend. Negative: Steep stairs, especially leading to top bedroom and bathroom on 2nd floor.

Would return if we were a group of 4+ people but only if none had mobility issues. Positive: Extremely comfortable, beautifully furnished and well presented. Very good location, facilities are excellent, parking outside. The showers are amazing and good quality bedding and towels. The kitchen is well equipped with everything required to cook meals and a few basics to get you started. The local co-op is a stones throw away and the town a ten minute walk. Negative: The property is located up a short but steep hill, possibly not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. The stairs in the property are also quite steep, particularly the stairs leading to the attic room, again, anyone with mobility issues may struggle. The outside rear courtyard hadn’t been cleaned; there was dried bird poo in several places and black sacks of rubbish from presumably the previous guests had been left within the courtyard. This was reported but not dealt with.
