lovely stay we are working locally and will definitely book this again
Excellent stay for the weekend. Very clean and tidy. Not a far drive from the beach and plenty to do nearby. Didn’t expect the place to be so big was lovely and there is a little garden where you can sit out and enjoy the weather. There is a small grass area just behind to walk the dog if you have a dog. Very well equipped and cosy. Only thing was check in wasn’t until 4pm but other than that I highly recommend
Great location beautiful cottage perfect for a small family. Positive: Location was great, enclosed garden looking out to the girls is picturesque, apart from the busy road! Spacious & had all the amenities you need. Well presented & decorated. Perfect for a small family. Negative: Overall it needed a good clean. The floors where very dirty & upon arrival the neighbour had said the cleaner didn’t have time to clean it fully which showed! (This wouldn’t put me off staying again as it’s an easy fix). The main road was very loud at night however I would stay again as the property itself was beautiful.
Positive: The cottage location was excellent and it was a lovely cottage, just what we were looking for.
Positive: Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Es ist sauber und ordentlich und York und Whitby schnell zu erreichen. Bridlington ist ebenfalls um die Ecke für den täglichen Einkauf.
Spacious, clean and peaceful Positive: The accomodation was well laid out with loads of room for a family of four. It was in the countryside with great views, yet only a few minutes drive into Bridlington. The grandchildren loved staying there, as did we. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable too. We will definitely return. Negative: We cannot think of any negatives!
A lovely place to stay to explore the surroundings area- a home from home feel! Positive: We have just accommodated here for four nights and the property was spacious, with beautiful views and we felt very comfortable staying here. It is also set in a good location for exploring the surrounding area. Negative: We have loved staying here but there were a few MINOR things that we came across, that could have been avoided. The first one was the internet password- it was incorrect and after calls to the customer services, I actually found the password behind the slide of the box - so the host just needs to amend this information to solve the problem. The other one is the fact that the cottage is situated on a very busy road, which obviously we knew about, but it was loud. The facilities for the cottage needs amending, as it states there is a tumble dryer but there isn’t, which as a family of four made things tricky when we washed clothes!! Otherwise apart from a few small bits of cleaning everything else was great.
Our 3 night stay at Easton Meadows was fantastic. The house was comfortable, inviting, family friendly, and well equipped. Some other reviews had noted that the clock wasnt working, or that there was only sachets of tea, coffee and sugar. The clock still wasnt "fixed" but it only needed a battery, which cost us less than £1 to replace. The tea, coffee and sugar was a nice touch, we have stayed in other air bnb's which had literally nothing!! We were provided with 3 toilet rolls 2 bin bags, a j cloth, a tea towel, 3 dishwasher tablets and bars of hand soap in the bathrooms. The only down sides, although they were not deal breakers and didnt detract from the enjoyment of our stay, was that the shower is not very suitable for tall people, and the wood floors downstairs left our white socks dirty on the bottom, it had been thoroughly hoovered but maybe not mopped or not mopped very well. But all in all we loved our stay and will be back!!
This house could be so much better with some thought. The standard of cleaning and lack of maintenance let it down I'm afraid.
Clean, tidy and spacious cottage, well situated for exploring the Yorkshire coast. We found the mattresses uncomfortable and there was some traffic noise as the property is right next to the road.
Very good, we really liked the cottage. Positive: It was clean, spacious, safe and comfortable. Negative: The road outside was busy during peak times but it didn’t spoil the holiday.
Excellent absolutely book again Positive: Clean bright modern well looked after Negative: Nothing
Overall was a nice place to stay
No dryer as advertised so although it’s great to have a washer especially if a family of 4 are staying there are no facilities to dry clothes … no tumble dryer , no washing line and no inside clothes airer. The clock is still not working a minor irritation but this was reported a while ago . Only 2 mugs and no cups so we had to go and buy some for the 9 days we stayed there . The garden area was scruffy with a broken sunshade and yard brush . Watching tv was a challenge as all station were only available through Apps and so limited viewing. Easton Road is a busy road as it’s one of the main roads into Bridlington so there is significant road noise at times . The wrong WiFi code was given but this was sorted out by the staff in head office who advised us to use the code on the back of the router .
Very disappointed Positive: The cottage is very nice, spacious and in a very good location. Negative: The wrong password was given for the broadband and it took several messages back and forth to sort out. Although the cottage is for four people only two mugs were provided, which we had to keep washing up all the time. The oven was very dirty and needs a deep clean, and one if the saucepans was caked in dry food and had to be soaked and washed before we could use it. Far worse was that one of the drawers in the bedside cabinet had about a dozen used screwed up dirty tissues and 4 used foam earplugs in. Thus us not acceptable.
Cosy stay Positive: It was cosy Negative: Few dead flies and door wasn’t work g but still didn’t stop us from enjoying our stay
Positive: The cottage was clean and well equipped Negative: It wasn't all located on the ground floor as stated on Booking.com there were stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom. Had problems accessing the cottage , electronic key code didn't work we had to contact Host and Stay for a new key safe code which was situated at the side of the door. Not a good start to our stay 😞.
Really cozy cottage. Positive: We really liked this little cottage, that's actually not so little! It's very spacious, and well designed. It's really close to Bridlington or Flamborough, so you can nip there whenever you like.
A really lovely place. Spotless inside and spacious rooms. Would be 5 star but unfortunately had problems with the electronic keypad on entry but host sorted it and sent someone out who fixed it and was great.
Had amazing experience with Host & Stay and the house was amazing and beautiful we stayed at
A clean house with very good amenities. Beds are firm and good. It's spacious and well equipped. However, there were many problems due to poor maintenance. First, the door Yale lock worked erratically, it took many tries to open the door most of the time. We were locked out several times, and had to try to open the lock for more than 20 times before it worked. On the last morning, the lock just failed completely, we were locked out in the rain for more than 1.5 hrs with all of our suitcases still inside the house, as a result we also missed our flight. Called the emergency number and was told office will not be opened until 9am and we had to wait for someone from the office toncome to help. Finally luckily at maybe 100 tries the lock opened. Secondly, the wifi password was wrong and we were not able to connect to Wifi, had to use international phone call to call the office to find the router, and resolved the issue ourselves. The parking space was not marked and took us a long time to search and again thru the phone call to ascertain which space to use. After we entered the house, there was a picture in the welcome book showing where the space is but not in the web version. There was a shower head holder, so we had to use one hand to hold the shower head to take the shower, very troublesome. The tub has a low ceiling, very easy to bump your head against the ceiling while taking shower.
Cannot fault the location, property size and surroundings as well as the Host being communicative and responsive if there were needs. The bedroom was excellent with clean sheets and space, hot water was very hot too! Issues faced were: Basic amenities not restocked such as salt, pepper and oil. Coffee was freeze dried instant and milk in sachets. I'm not fussy but for the price, possibly a little jar of coffee or small bottle of milk does go a long way. Lack of cleaning supplies such as sponges, broom, dustpan and brush. Some of the Windowsills, plates, glasses, cutlery were dusty and dirty. Things such as a baby-chair (not used) but it was in the kitchen and stained down the front. Clock in the downstairs living space on the wall was non-functioning. Lack of flexibility on late(r) check-out although earlier check-in was offerred. Overall, it requires a bit of modernisation inside, with a few more personal touches to make Guests feel more at home and the stay worthwhile.
