Positive: The location is perfect. The house is very comfortable, homely and clean. Great for families. Really loved the house. Id say its better than in the photos. Negative: If I had to pick something id say the kitchen needs a bit of attention- the oven could do with a good clean and also it'd be nice if there were things like condiments etc. Also we couldn't get the shower to get very warm but we may have been doing something wrong.

Excellent and prompt communication. Driftwood house suitable for a family of 7 to comfortably stay. Private and quiet location however not far from the coast and local facilities. Would certainly recommend to stay again.

I and my family had a lovely time at Beadnell and look forward o returning there.

One of our daughters is at Newcastle University and we wanted a place further north to visit and spend the weekend. Our party of six included grandparents in their 80s, my husband and I, and our daughters in their 20s. The accommodation allowed for wonderful family time, plus venturing out to the local harbour and historical sites around the coast. We cooked simple food two nights at ‘home’ and ate out on the third. We later saw the local pub, which we might visit on a future occasion.

Nice house and lovely location Nice house with plenty of room for our family. Lovely location near the beach with plenty of walks from the doorstep. Helpful host where nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again.

Spacious accomadation ,perfect for family ,confusion over recycling as previous occupants ,left bin fullof glass bottles ,which we removed and took to glass recycling in car park.

wonderful location, with 4 adults, 2 children and 2 adults the house was a perfect size for all of us with a wonderful size garden, it was great to see some of the issues others had raised had been sorted with the garden and shower head fixed in the en suite, some of the cushions on the sofas were a tad lumpy but you can get comfy pretty easy.

Comfortable modern house in at the end of a quiet clued sac, with a secure rear garden, ideal for children. A short walk to the beach and the shoreside cafe and Pizza Hut. Lots of beach toys for the children in the garage.

Our family have absolutely loved our little stay at driftwood. House was perfect for us with beach, rock pools and pubs within walking distance. Hosts were very nice with some good recommendations for food etc inside the house. Nice easy check in and out, just right for our winter get away. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a calm and relaxed get away within beautiful surroundings. Thanks

We had a lovely time at this house, perfect for kids too with a big garden and lots of toys already there. Our only comment would be it could do with a bigger coffee pot!

Had a lovely 2 night stay at Driftwood, we chose the house as my friend and I had 3 dogs between us, house was warm and very clean and in an ideal place to walk everywhere, The Landing and the beach are a 5 minute walk away and we walked from Beadnell to Bamburgh and caught the bus back, would definitely recommend and we will be booking this place again next year

We had a great stay - the house was very roomy and comfortable and there was a large secure garden for the dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again.

Amazing stay and would definitely come back. Great house with lots of space for 6 of us and our two dogs. Garden is large with outside facilities. Short walk to bars and beach and very peaceful.

Diabolical communication from the owner. Property was not as advertised. Negative: The fact that the fence was down so it was not safe for our dog. The owner assured me he would contact me to rectify the situation but he is ignoring my messages. Very unprofessional. We booked the property as it stated it had a secure garden. It didn’t.

First impressions great!!!! Unfortunately Grass needed cutting hadnt been done in a while,garden furniture not fit for purpose dangerous,mattress protector(blood stain) Had been washed cleaners would of seen this making the bed up. Showers need mould mildew spray on tiles.Very spacious for 4'of us and a dog

We really enjoyed our stay at Driftwood. The property has an excellent location and had everything needed for 5 of us plus the dog. Our only slight criticism would be, we were unable to use the en-suite shower as the shower head is broken, the tiles and grout also need a good clean. I appreciate we had only booked for 3 days but we didn't enjoy the garden as much as we had hoped as the grass hadn't been cut. Finally, the garden furniture is in real need of some TLC. This aside, we still really enjoyed our break.

The Driftwood was a real home from home. It was a great size for our party of 7 plus a dog. The location was fabulous and a great base to explore from. Hosts were always responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property and we hope to return again.

We have just returned from Driftwood in Beadnell Northumberland . This home did not let us down it was perfect for our family of 6 adults and a baby plus 3 dogs. Plenty of space for all , the lounge was cosy with patio doors leading to a huge enclosed garden perfect for our fur babies and our Toddler to run around. Kitchen fully equipped for our needs. The house was nice and warm throughout. 4 Bedrooms suited all of us one en suite all nice and clean, perhaps mattress toppers would make the beds a bit comfier, nice white fluffy towels. The position was perfect walking distance from the Beach and village centre and shops and pubs. We all loved it and would not hesitate in booking again.

Great place for walking on beach and fabulous places to eat. Highly recommend

A lovely 4 bed house with plenty of space for our party of 6 plus a dog, well equipped kitchen, nice garden space and comfortable beds. fabulous location just a short walk from huge, beautiful beach. Local pubs and restaurants were a little expensive, but very high standard. we enjoyed an excellent meal at The Joiners Arms in High Newton on Sea. Only criticism is that the main bathroom sink plug was stuck and it was full of dirty water on our arrival. Despite leaving a phone message and following up with 2 phonecalls, the management company's promises of getting it sorted never materialised and the plug was still stuck and the sink still full of dirty water when we left. Not ideal, but we didn't let it spoil an otherwise enjoyable holiday.

Excellent, everything we wanted and more, lovely area. Positive: Very well equipped, more than we expected, everything we needed and more Negative: It’s no showstopper, but if the property can accommodate 8 people (7 of us) there was not enough seating when relaxing in the lounge area, one or two of us had to sit in the floor. We navigated around it so no issues, we just pulled up a chair or two from the dining room table.

A well presented property that was absolutely perfect for our party of 6 adults, 1 infant and two dogs. Upon arrival the layout and decor was really nice. The direct access to the enclosed back garden from the dining room was really useful for the dogs. The bedrooms were clean and very comfortable and the area is quiet. The location of the property is within a 5 min walk of Beadnell Bay, with views of Dunstanburgh Castle and a great way to start the morning with an easy walk to stretch the legs to start the day. The village has a number of restaurants and places to have a drink. The venue is ideally located to so many villages and amenities along this beautiful coastline. We would definitely return to this accommodation in the future. That you to the Host & Stay team for your communications and hospitality.

What a lovely spot and a nice clean property! Beadnell beach was within an easy walking distance of the property as were the local pubs and restaurants. We met friends halfway and had a lovely weekend stay in Dale's property. Before we arrived Dale was very responsive to any messages and really helpful. Would definately revisit! The property was very clean and tidy - couple of points to note - fence was down in the garden possibly due to recent storms so had to keep an eye on our 3 dogs but we couldn't see that there was anyone living next door. Broken handle in single bedroom on one window but other worked fine so no problem. Instructions for the property were very clear and helpful.

Great Place to stay for the weekend!

Very clean house,accurate to the description. Is in housing estate but close access to beach and fab beach cafe/restaurant. 15 min walk though to village shop and probably 20 minutes walk to pub

Three couples, a toddler and a dog stayed here for a long weekend. It was ideal for us as we found plenty of places to visit and being five minutes from the beach was great for our toddler and dog. Without even leaving Beadnell there were plenty of amenities, great cafés, restaurants and bars as well as a pretty place to wander round.

Just what we needed for 6 people to stay , comfortable, clean and with all the facilities required. Deffo recommend

The location was perfect for the beach with 3 young granddaughters. The property had all the rooms that we required. We had a wonderful holiday. However, the house did require some TLC.

Had an excellent short break here with friends and would recommend for a stay in Beadnell. Convenient location for the local restaurants and beaches. Would love to stay again.

A clean, spacious and bright house just minutes away from the beach. Host & Stay were attentive and left good instructions and local information for where to go and what to do, with plenty of useful ameneties in the house.

Had a lovely couple of nights at Driftwood… just the two of us and our Goldendoodle even tho it could easily accommodate more. We booked late and went for the location, which is an easy stroll to the beach, and the price was discounted as it was last minute. Very happy.

Lovely property in an excellent condition. Good sized rooms and 4 good sized bedrooms. The garden is enclosed so good for dog owners. Short walk to Beadnell beach. The lounge/dining area was comfortable and good for families.I would however note that the property needs a thorough clean and a review of the kitchen utensils/crockery/glasses. Crockery/glass items have obviously been broken and not replaced and so they are missing-matched.The ovens are very dirty and need a thorough clean - we did not use them on account of being dirty.The showers in both main and en-suite bathrooms have mould on them. I bought some cleaner and cleaned the en-suite shower but it still needs a thorough clean.The house itself is very good, the beds are comfortable and I would return to it/recommend it but it does need a deep clean.

Enjoyable Positive: Great position for beach and exploring area Negative: Nowhere to hang coats in hallway. Nowhere to hang wet swimwear when wet outside. Only one toilet roll provided in the bathroom.

A spacious house which worked perfectly for our girls holiday. A short walking distance to the beach and several fantastic restaurants.

Pet friendly. Suitable for our family. It would be nice to have a hot tub to use after long walks along the lovely northumberland coast but other than that the house was lovely and suited our needs.

Lovely property and so close to the sea. It looked exactly like the pictures and was a really nice place to stay. Perfect for a short weekend break or a longer stay. Would definitely recommend!

Spacious but dirty Positive: Location, size, layout Negative: It was grubby. Plates covered in egf stains. Bowls with crusty cereal stuck on. Oven was disgusting Having a coffee out of a mug and a sliver of porcelain came off in my mouth. Could have been very nasty if I swallowed it.

Great house in a good location. Short walk to the nearest beach and close to the local pubs and restaurants. Seahouses & Bamburgh are a short drive away. House was not really overlooked and had a good size garden. We loved this house and would definitely stay here again.

The host replied to questions quickly and was very helpful. The house was clean, well presented and the kitchen was fully equipped. Such a lovely location, not too far away from Alnwick and Bamburgh, yet is a quiet and peaceful area.

Positive: Very comfortable warm property, well placed for visiting places of interest Negative: The shower in the shared bathroom was lukewarm at best.

Very clean and warm house with all you need when you are away from home. Plenty of parking outside the accommodation. Quiet location that is a short walk from Beadnell Bay beach.

Great location, clean and tidy interior, poor outdoor space, misleading photos on its listing. Positive: The location. Apart from garage the property was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Negative: The outside space let the property down, the garden was poor with the grass well overdue a cut. The patio area was particularly bad with the patio overgrown with weeds. The garden furniture was not as shown in the photos, which I suspect are probably 10 years old, the furniture has been replaced with a cheaper and much smaller set of chairs which were uncomfortable to sit in. There were no cushions as the cushions available were clearly all from the previous life expired set and did not fit as they were much larger.

Fab holiday home in Beadnell Positive: Fabulous spacious holiday home with everything you need for a perfect stay in Beadnell. Comfy beds, very clean, only 5 minutes walk from the beach and a nice garden to sit in the sunshine. Parking for two cars, one on the driveway and one behind on edge of drive. The host was very helpful and attentive, giving great arrival instructions.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at your accommodation. It was immaculate and had a very well equipped kitchen. The area was very quiet and peaceful but a superb location for the beach and Beadnell village. I would highly recommend this property and very responsive host. We would definitely return and look forward to another visit.

Great location, very nice house. We thought the cleaning was not as good as it could have been, particularly mould on the en-suite tiling not being addressed. The sofas are very strange with big, hard lumps and very uncomfortable indeed. They need to go. Otherwise good.

Fint hus med flott beliggenhet. Positive: Huset er lyst og romslig og har god beliggenhet i en fredelig blindgate, bare minutter å gå til den fantastiske stranda og Beadnell Bay. Fine soverom med gode senger og bad med god standard. Negative: Selv om stuen var fin og romslig var det dårlig med sittekomfort - begge sofaene bør byttes ut på grunn av ødelagte fjærer. Det var i tillegg en del stygge merker på gulvteppet. Det er bruk for en skarp kjøkkenkniv/brødkniv.

A lovely house set very close to the beach. It has a large enclosed peaceful garden. Bed linen and towels were of good quality & clean. Beware there is a non returnable £25 damage waver, or £250 upfront which gets returned 14 days after minus £10 admin fee. We were unaware of until days before we traveled. A couple of issues that would stop us booking again unless rectified The 2 couches provide ) seats but 4 of them are unusable due to large burst springs which push up and making it impossible to sit comfortably, The dining seats are also old, worn, saggy and uncomfortable. The pillows are wafer thin and provide no support and one of the double beds is super firm whilst one of the single beds has a cheap mattress on which you can feel the springs .

Not able to sit comfortably-there were two sofas, half of the cushions had springs broken meaning we had to put pillows on top to be able to sit-and it still was very uncomfortable! The cleaning fee of £125 was the largest we have ever paid-we walked in and the house smelt of wet dog, the oven was covered in grease and I had to clean it before using. I have raised these issues with Host & Stay asking for a refund of the cleaning fee-I received an email saying they were dealing with a “large number of complaints”, which was very worrying in itself about them as a company. The house itself was lovely, but I could not recommend because of the broken sofas and excessive cleaning fee which is obviously not being used to clean properly.

We only had one key which was a problem. One of our party went back to the house, feeling unwell. She had to leave the door unlocked so we could get in later. Not ideal.

We love staying at Beadnell and have stayed at many properties in the area. We would definitely stay here again. It felt very homely and comfortable with lovely modern bathrooms.

This is a nice house on an estate which has many holiday homes. Off season it felt like a bit of a ghost town but was very quiet. Beach walkable and lovely. Good enclosed garden, abut muddy buy it was November. Three downsides. The single beds in the twin room are very uncomfortable. Springs can be felt along one’s body when lying down. Dirty towels were left on the floor behind the door of one of one of the double rooms. Lastly the boiler stopped working on day two. As you may well be aware this was sorted within 12 hours after a lot of calls to Home and Stay and to air band b. We were given totally incorrect instructions to pour oil into the boiler. Fortunately there was no oil and I assume whoever I spoke to, several times, thought we had a generator not a boiler. Had we started to mess around as suggested this would probably have ruined the boiler and could have been very dangerous. We were told the owner had been contacted and said to pour oil in but this cannot have been true.

Positive: Location is brilliant - not far from the beach and lovely places to eat. It is a comfortable, clean and warm house. Negative: We would have liked a few more loo rolls and dishwasher tablets.

Clean and comfortable home with lots of space. Good sized garden. Great location within walking distance for the beach and venue ‘The Landing’. We have had a lovely mini break and enjoyed fabulous weather too.

Good location if you want to be in walking distance of the beach. Large enclosed garden. Garden furniture could have been cleaned and some of it was broken. Shower head in en-suite wasn’t working, we reported it but didn’t get a response. Main oven wasn’t working which made it very difficult to cook.
