Very beautiful cottage but is next to a B rd with very little traffic put with there being no fenced in or enclosed patio or garden dogs can not run freely. Would be perfect if enclosed.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely country cottage Positive: Property was clean and well equipped with lots of extras in the kitchen Negative: The only draw back is the access down very small and badly maintained roads. We understand that the property is in the middle of the Devon countryside and access is via these country lanes but sat nav insists on taking you down the worst of these to access the property

We would recommend a 4 x4 to get to the property. There are no local amenities so you have to drive everywhere. Positive: Very quaint, clean, everything needed was there. Negative: The access roads were horrific, we thought our car would be damaged. Needed to travel miles to get anywhere. My husband could not sleep on the bed, but said the couch was comfortable. The main problem, and the reason we left half way through our break was, I am asthmatic and found the property to be cold and damp. It set off my asthma. The host had left a note saying they were liming the property.

A real home from home vibe. Fresh milk and free range eggs upon arrival. Lovely dog walks. We are already looking at a d Positive: We loved this property. Everything was thought of, from herbs and spices in the cupboards, to spare lightbulbs incase they needed changing. Modern and tastefully decorated. Such a relaxing and comfortable place. We didn’t want to leave.

Very nice cottage we loved our stay

A beautiful stay at the cottage, exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful walks, peaceful, clean and within driving distance to lots of gorgeous dog friendly beaches.

Excellent place to stay, quiet location was just what we needed. Good access to Hartland Coast and North Devon and not too far for Dartmoor. Bed was comfy and bathroom and kitchen facilities were great. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Ok for a short two night stay Positive: Good communication from the hosts regarding checking in and key collection Negative: Approach to the accommodation by narrow lanes were rough, pot holes and overhanging branches (scratched my car). Couldn't find the accommodation by postcode, had to rely on what three words and still couldn't see the house in the dark.

In een prachtige landelijke omgeving verbleven wij met veel plezier bij Steve en Carol. De woning was prima, al voorzien van diverse ingrediënten maar ook verse melk en eieren. We konden volop genieten van de geluiden rondom de boerderij, maar veel vaker van de stilte. Super locatie voor wie houdt van de natuur en op zijn tijd onderhoudende gesprekken met de eigenaar.

Positive: Fabulous little cottage and exactly how it looked like on the photos, in fact it was better. Comfy cosy and warm. Very clean and fab hosts who made us very welcome Negative: Only thing I didn’t like was the country lanes as it’s very remote 🤪

Lovely rural hideaway close to award winning pub. Positive: Pretty little converted dairy, with everything you need. Mercifully cool in heatwave due to thick stone walls. Very clean. Nice owners, and dog friendly. Lovely rural spot ‘far from the madding crowd’ 😊 Negative: Get the owners to direct you to the property via the slightly longer, but less potholed last mile!

Charming cottage in quiet, rural location Positive: Great location for walking locally, stunning countryside and woods, and well appointed for self catering. Quiet, relaxing and charming. Part of the nearby farmhouse, so rural and bucolic. Conveniently located to Tapeley Park which is a must visit for its gardens and grounds. Negative: No bbq :(

Great hideaway for two Positive: Lovely quaint cottage with a nice log burner that was ready set for us on arrival. The bed was comfy and the decor is fairly new in places but in keeping with the old nature of the cottage. Negative: The access road is dreadful in both directions lots of pot holes and puddles with grass growing out of the centre of the road. There could be more cooking pots especially oven dishes/baking sheets. The bath is smaller than it appears in the photos.

Lovely place for our getaway. Hosts very welcoming and even had the fire lit for us! The cottage was well-stocked, clean, tidy and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Thank you!

We didn’t want to leave cuz it felt like home by the end of our stay. Positive: It is really cozy and comfy. Peaceful location and quiet! Had everything we needed. Owners are very friendly and hospitable. Cute dogs and cat and chickens on the rooftop. Negative: Nothing

Perfect, relaxing break Positive: Lovely rustic country cottage with all amenities and exceptionally comfy king size bed. Out in the sticks, so very peaceful and relaxing, but driving distance to some lovely beaches and a great pub at Buckland Brewer.

We loved our stay at the cottage. It was so beautiful & peaceful. The property was exactly like the pictures showed. We bought the eggs from their chickens which was a lovely touch to our stay. We will definitely be returning the next time we visit Devon

Lovely place very clean, fresh eggs to buy very nice, some noisy people on campsite, close by and very difficult and narrow lane to get to remote cottage. Glad we had a 4x4.

Enjoyed our stay and a good place to explore from but house felt like it needed a bit of TLC.
