we have stayed a few places and this is by far the best especially when you are away with work for 9 days

The flat gave the feeling of never having been lived in Positive: well appointed Negative: soulless, with niggles about the hot water, and electrics in the kitchen

The property was easy to access and clean and comfortable. The water pressure was inadequate and so the showers were just a dribble. No added luxuries like hand soap, washing up liquid and minimal toilet paper

Dreadful - avoid at all costs. Positive: We were unable to get into the property we wasted the evening talking on the phone but nobody came to help in the end we abandined it and got an excellent cheap travelodge. Never aagain will we use Host and Stay. Please remove them from Booking.com. dreadful 3xperience and weekend ruined. Negative: No service whatsover. Nobody came just teleohone advuce which didnt work. I returned three timea to the property as instructed missing the reason for being there. I expecr compensation.

Misleading listing, poor maintenance and disappointing customer service. Negative: The apartment generally matches the photos, but it is much more worn and poorly maintained than advertised. Sticky kitchen surfaces, worn furniture, stained carpets, holes in the walls, dirty and non-functioning extractor fans, and a general lack of upkeep made the property feel neglected rather than well maintained. The biggest disappointment was the host’s communication. When we discovered that no toilet paper had been provided, I contacted the host. I was first told they would look into the matter. After following up again, I was informed that they had “confirmed” that toilet paper is never provided at this property, even though the listing states otherwise. Mistakes happen, but providing misleading information instead of resolving a simple issue is unacceptable. I also contacted the host because the full-height window door was locked and none of the provided keys fit. We were told this would be treated as a priority and that they would look for the correct key, but we never received another response. As only two very small roof windows could be opened, the apartment became unbearably hot. The automatic entrance gate was another problem. There were no instructions explaining how to leave the property on foot, and even delivery drivers were unable to get out once inside. The entry keypad also stopped working during our stay, making access unnecessarily difficult. Overall, the apartment did not meet the standard described in the listing, and the level of customer service was particularly disappointing. I have genuinely had better stays in youth hostels, both in terms of maintenance and customer service. Considering the price, I cannot recommend this property.

My husband and I used to live in Solihull and had returned to see family and friends. Danford Court is situated in a good and quiet neighbourhood and the location was ideal for us. On first impressions the flat looked just like the photos, but then a few niggling things let it down. The central heating worked at first but then the radiators failed to heat up, despite adjusting the thermostat. The remote control for the lounge fire was missing. The kitchen tap had no hot water, only cold, which came out very slowly, and the sink plug didn’t work. Some items had to be washed in the bathroom washbasin. Thankfully the dishwasher worked well. The ceiling fans in both bathrooms did not work and were dirty. Some items which should have been available were missing - no toilet paper and no shower gel. The flat was generally clean and comfortable but the kitchen would benefit from a deeper clean. It is, however, a lovely flat and would stay again if the problems were resolved.

A few things about our stay, we arrived on a Sunday night and there was only a tiny bit of toilet roll and only in one of the bathrooms.. The main issue was the heating didn't work, and we messaged back and forth trying different things but to be honest I think I was messaging a bot...at one point I was asked to check the wifi (I presumed to check connectivity between thermostat and boiler), I said yes we are on the wifi and the reply was 'great, enjoy your stay'... Not helpful. We then came back one evening and the key pad to enter the car park wasn't working. Luckily a car was coming out, however I messaged to ask if this had been reported because we were concerned about the next day, and this message was ignored. The flat was fine, as advertised, but if you stay here I really hope nothing goes wrong because the communication was useless.

When I arrived to check in to the apartment the lock was jammed so the key wouldn’t open the door. I communicated with the host and they got back to me hours later by which point I had left to check into another hotel. I returned 2 days later to try again but maintenance still hadn’t fixed the issue and no one contacted me. I am now in the process of trying the process a refund but unsuccessful in any communication. Nobody in this company seems to know what they’re doing and the model of the company needs better structure and organisation. Avoid for peace of mind. I’m £700 down and didn’t even get into the apartment once. Oh and it’s on the second floor with no lift so avoid x2 if you have luggage.

Great location, only 30mins away from Birmingham city centre. Alot of places nearby for shopping etc. The place was clean and spacious - perfect for our group of 4. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting the area!

The place was spotlessly cleaned and extremely comfortable, well laid out space with a fully kitted out kitchen. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future

The house is in excellent condition and located in a quiet community. The blanket is warm, bed is clean. The kitchen equipment is ok. Is really like a home. However, the main issue was the lack of detailed check-in information provided beforehand, such as the apartment number and the location of the keypad. This caused us to wait outside in 4-degree weather. Additionally, there was no WA contact available, making it difficult to communicate using an international number. But I believe it can be solved. The CS is 24/7 and nice. Overall, it’s a pleasant stay.

Apartment looked great on pictures but totally different in person. Place was dirty beds had been slept in pubic hairs all over the beds and in shower. Urine all over toilet seat towels were used and carpets looked they hadn’t been hoovered in months . Host was apologetic but was no help and passed the problem of finding a new place up to air bb this 19:30 at night ! Would absolutely avoid at all costs! I never leave reviews but this place was disgusting

Very clean and comfortable apartment in a very attractive area. Very quiet. I would definitely stay again.
