Great place to stay. Well situated, clean and had everything we needed for a family gathering.

What a beautiful modern interior with a beautiful historical exterior! A home perfect for a large family and in an incredible central location of Whitby! The house truly made or visit to Whitby even more memorable!

Perfect Stay in Whitby. Positive: Dalton house has to be one of the best property’s I’ve stayed in. It was exceptionally clean and I love how the house is old with a modern twist. It had everything you needed along with complimentary biscuits and milk in the fridge. There were games for us to play in the living room also had children’s games to suit all ages. There was nothing that hadn’t been thought of for a perfect stay. It’s very central which was perfect for us and easy to find. We will most definitely be back in the future. Negative: I loved all the property.

Location, location location - nice place, clean and comfortable. Bedrooms were lovely and well furnished, kitchen was stocked with basics (dish clothes, bin bags). There are a lot of stairs and they’re quite steep but my elderly father made them up so not too bad. There is a bath on the 1st floor but only shower is on the 2nd floor which may affect people with mobility issues. It is managed via an agency so not super responsive on Airbnb text but available if you call them, and then they called the owner for us.

Very simple, exactly as described. Clean, smart, modern. No complaints at all from me.

What a gorgeous house! We didn't want to leave. Dalton House is right in the centre of Whitby but once inside it is so quiet and peaceful. It really was a luxury stay!

Beautiful house. Immaculately clean. Great location. Only complaint is there was a message on the shower screen saying out of order sorry for the inconvenience. I complained to be told it’s on to use just make sure the water does t leak through the floor into the bedroom below and a new shower screen was on order. Two of our party can only use a shower and they felt nervous using it. There had been no communication regarding this which was disappointing

Excellent house that was well appointed, clean and centrally located. Just what we had hoped for. Only slight negative was the limited access along the road (closed during certain hours) and no on street parking. This was minor for us but can see it being more of an issue for families with children. But home itself and location were perfect.

Lovely but a few glitches which could be easily remedied — but the mattresses do need to be upgraded Positive: The house was lovely and overall we very much enjoyed our stay. Negative: The house is necessarily quirky and we could have done with a little more info. In particular the mezzanine loo stopped flushing and we couldn’t access the cistern which is covered by a mini sink. Fortunately we managed to get it going again, but we don’t know how! There was no teapot, and the cafetière was small (2 cup) and broken. We had to buy both — we’re not fans of capsule coffee machines and we like our tea. The mattresses were disappointing (lumpy) for such a nice house.

Dalton House was in an excellent location to enjoy Whitby. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend away. We would have appreciated communication about the shower being out of order before our arrival. The double bedroom door does not close properly. Ordinarily, this wouldn’t be a problem but as there is a bath in the bedroom, we had to put pillows against the door to stop it from opening when we needed our privacy.

. Positive: The property was lovely and perfectly situated however we had a leak in the upstairs shower that wet the bed and floor down below. When we contacted host and stay to inform they advised they would get hold of the owner and he will contact us. He did contact us but this was on the day we were leaving so no use really. Due to this he offered 40% discount on my next stay if I were to contact him. When I approached him about staying another time he stated we were not very good guests leaving the property dirty - we left it immaculate!!! He said we left floor sticky and tissues everywhere??? He also said is we had used the bathmat the leak would have not happened and gone as far as the room downstair- it mush have been some size bathmat for that to be true! So needless to say we got no discount Negative: .

Great cottage in a great location. Was clean & everything we needed was there. Central to the town so easy to get to the beach & restaurants etc.

A lovely place right in the centre of Whitby. A close walk to all that Whitby has to offer, great restaurants, pubs, shops and small jewelers for Whitby jet (Ebor Jetworks a favorite) Check in was quick and easy with drop off available out side .

Lovely property as long as no issues Positive: Beautiful property, in a lovely location. Negative: We were not able to use the television for the majority of our stay as there was no remote control. We were disappointed this problem wasn’t fixed promptly for such a premium priced property. Also the host came into the property a day early saying it was time to check out!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, spacious and welcoming. The location is fantastic. The booking was easy, communication really clear. We would definitely stay again - a brilliant find.

Beautiful home in the heart of Whitby! Great location for exploring the town and the house is really comfortable, it had pretty much everything we needed. Comfy beds, spacious rooms, good shower and good kitchen! The only things missing were a washing up sponge and cloth, and salt/pepper/oil - would be nice not to have to buy these basic items for a short stay (especially given there are other condiments in the cupboards). Highly recommend this place for a stay in Yorkshire.

It’s as good as it gets the only improvement that could be done would be to improve the water pressure in the top floor shower

Spent a lovely week at Dalton House, particularly liked the cosy bed linens, the bath in the bedroom, the secret bathroom, the good sized kitchen and cosy living room.

Lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful property. We would have liked to have stayed for longer Positive: This is a really lovely property in a great location. Everything was done so nicely. The beds were really comfortable and all the furniture and kitchen equipment were to a high standard. Lovely deep carpets and brilliant to have the two baths. It’s in a great spot in the city centre. So close to all the shops, pubs and restaurants. However, the street it is in doesn’t get too noisy. Really close to the train station and bus stops if you don’t drive or fancy a day trip. Negative: There’s nothing really to dislike. The only thing is parking which can be difficult in Whitby. However, this end of the town is probably easier to find on-street parking than in other areas of Whitby. You are also quite close to the paid car parks at the tourist information. We always managed to find an on-street parking spot albeit we had to park some-way from the house.

Stylish decor, comfy beds and well fully equipped Negative: Road not accessible by car between 10-4 But easily manageable with a bit of planning and lots of parking nearby

Amazing cottage in a fantastic location Positive: Wonderful holiday home. Luxury, stylish and comfortable. Fantastic location in the heart of Whitby but still quiet. Had everything we needed and more. Great communication from the hosts. Very clean. Lots of room for the 6 of us. Negative: The only thing to improve further would be some seating at the front as it catches the afternoon sun.

Great location lovely 3 storey building, nicely decorated , comfy beds .only negative is parking it's very busy and we had to park up a very steep hill to get free parking or you can pay at the marina car park .but other then that had a good stay
