We had a great stay recently at Dalby Lodge, the property is beautiful, spotless throughout, spacious with great sized rooms and in an ideal location in walking distance to Pickering, and perfect for the dogs! We had a perfect weekend and would absolutely come back again! Thank you :)
Location - resort is in its infancy so was very quiet with lots of areas for our dogs to explore safely. When it's established, I believe it will be extensive with lots of amenities. Location central for York, Scarborough, Whitby etc & very close to Flamingo Land. Accommodation - WOW! Exceeded our expectations to the point all of the group said they would happily live in Dalby Lodge! A couple of minor maintenance issues, design rather than lack of maintenance. Just wished the weather was better to utilise the roof top terrace seating area. If we ever choose to have family meet up in Yorkshire again, wouldn't hesitate to check out Dalby Lodge availability.
Great location for Dalby Forest as we used the accommodation as a base for mountain biking. The lodge was very clean and modern, the kitchen had everything to cook a meal and relax in the lounge area in the evening. Overal I would recommend the lodge and location was very quiet and peacefull we didn’t see or hear anyone else. I would imagine having the roof terrace would be great in the summer.
On the surface this is an attractive place to stay - super modern and stylish great for groups in a good location but unfortunately we had some cleaning/maintenance issues. Dirty socks from previous guests in bathrooms, leftover food in the fridge, poorly fitted fixtures, terrible smelly dishwasher that didn’t clean dishes properly, not enough bedding/towels for guests on the booking and no hand wash in the bathrooms. There was also an issue with the heating when we visited, making the property uncomfortably hot throughout our stay. I hope the above can be addressed by the owners/cleaning team as if it wasn’t for the above we did have a lovely stay. It’s in a great location for Pickering town and visiting the coast. Good for groups or families - just needs some TLC.
Really enjoyed our stay! Positive: Excellent lodge with plenty space for our family of 6. Kids especially loved the rooftop garden. Great location for us as our main purpose of the visit was to go to flamingo land, only a 5 minute drive. Area very quiet and relaxing. Negative: Lodge was quite warm but otherwise no complaints.

The lodge was in a peaceful beautiful place ,added extra as the garden was on the roof so the sunrises was lovely. The lodge was spotless smelt beautiful and was clutter free had everything you would need to make your stay perfect.
We had a wonderful stay at Dalby Lodge and were really happy with everything. The lodge was spotlessly clean, tidy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our favourite feature was definitely the roof terrace – it was a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Our dog absolutely loved the walks around the park, making it a perfect location for anyone travelling with a pet. Charlie provided clear and helpful instructions for both arrival and departure, which made everything straightforward and stress-free. We would happily recommend Dalby Lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay in the area and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you for a great stay!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Very clean and the host was very helpful and informative. We received clear instructions and also recommendations prior to arriving at the accommodation. Great location too! Would definitely recommend and would love to return in the near future.

We loved our stay here. As we enter the property it smell fresh and clean. Spotless. Very responsive host, too. It’s a shame we only had a short trip but we really enjoyed it given that the place is easy access to nearby attractions and activities.
Everything was great and clean definitely recommend coming here ( not during winter because the roads are terrible to drive on ) but it's definitely a beautiful place however the only thing that threw me off is that hot water fully shut off on the last day and the water for close to freezing temps, just kept on coming up with error on the boiler. but other then that it was a good and fun stay

Perfect accommodation; possibly the best equipped and cleanest, modern accommodation we’ve rented previously. It was spotless, very comfortable and we felt very much at home. Sadly we didn’t use the rooftop garden due to the weather but it looked amazing.
Unbelievably bad experience. Both on the part of Booking.com and Host and Stay. Positive: Don’t know Negative: We were double booked but only notified we weren’t able to stay when we were already 5 hours into our journey

What a beautiful stay we had, very clean and very helpful hosts. We will 100% stay again next time we visit flamingo land with it been a 5 minute drive. The lodge is spotless and on a loverly peaceful site.
The most beautiful accommodation I have ever stayed at. It was immaculate with everything and more that you could ever need. The roof terrace was beautiful. We did not want to leave. The site was stunning also. Thank you.
