Beautifully maintained park comfortable lodge but with some issues Positive: Well maintained site lodge had enough space for 4 and comfortable for our 4 night stay hot tub is lovely and the beds very comfortable.not too far from the park and ride to York good pub just down the road. Negative: Unfortunately the boiler was very noisy and more noticeable over night and although a fix was attempted when reported this only seemed to work for one night. Sleep was heavily disturbed so had to turn the thermostat right down over night so the boiler wouldn’t come on and rattle the whole lodge. As the weather is getting colder this isn’t ideal. Tea towel oven glove etc bad been missed when restocking on change over so had to treck to reception in the rain but was sorted on asking. Pots and pans needed washing up before use from previous guests as they had been put away still with food debris on them I suspect this is because the dishwasher is a bit hit and miss.

Took my two girls away for the weekend as a surprise and they absolutely loved it including my self, lovely holiday home Positive: Was a lovely holiday home very cosy

We stayed 3 nights at Dakota Lodge and overall we had a nice stay. The park itself was lovely, peaceful and really enjoyable, and the hot tub was definitely one of the highlights. The lodge had everything we needed and the heating and hot water worked perfectly throughout our stay, which made things comfortable. There were a few things that stopped it from feeling like a great stay for us though. Unfortunately there were quite a lot of ants inside the lodge, and the bathroom cleanliness was not really up to the standard we personally expected. We also noticed quite a lot of pet hair around the lodge, which suggests animals had stayed there before. As we are not animal lovers, this was something we found a bit unpleasant. Aside from these points, we still enjoyed our little getaway and appreciated the facilities and location.
