Perfect location (if a little tricky for parking at times). Lovely flat for a family of 4.

Beautiful apartment Positive: Fantastic location. Really liked the view over the bridge and up to the Abbey, great position for a good sunrise. Entry was easy enough front door code for the building and a code for the key safe. A really lovely apartment, nicely decorated, beautifully furnished. A good size bigger than expected with such a good view, very thoughtfully decorated, light bright and modern. Shower room/toilet on both floors which was great with two teenage boys, good powerful shower, nice towels, and sheets, had everything we needed with really nice little extras like dishwasher tablets cleaning items, tea, coffee facilities and good quality toiletries. It's all beautifully decorated and very clean We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this apartment and stay here again . Negative: Couldn't find a plug for the kitchen sink or placements/coasters for the kitchen table. Great that there were lots of wall sockets but would be good to have one with USB sockets. Top floor apartment 3rd floor 6 flights of stairs not to much of an issue for us for a short stay we only had a small bag each. Only for me Personally - double bed was very soft

Good value for money, super clean and very modern, the location is great. It does have lots of steps so hard with little ones and a pram but this is wrote very clearly on the listing so we were prepared. Whenever we go to whitby, hosts normally allow for an early check in when the room is ready free of charge, but this would have come at an extra charge of £30 which seemed steep, I think if the room was ready it would be nice to allow guests to at least leave their bags/check in early. We have an air bnb at home and do this for our guests, I understand this isn't a need, but it just starts guests off on good note :) Thanks for our stay, it truly is a lovely place.

Brilliant location opposite the harbour. Let down by parking facilities (having been provided the parking pass was a waste of time as we couldn't find any parking near the apartment in the zone for the pass!) The Split level apartment itself was clean & well furnished & well appointed with a lovely view of the harbour bridge. The bedrooms upstairs were basic but nice & light. Downstairs kitchen, dining & lounge were clean and airy with a downstairs bathroom. This would be a 5 star stay for a couple if the parking issue is resolved & cleaning better managed. If travelling to it by train with little luggage it is brilliant as it it is 10-15 minutes walk from train station.

Overpriced for what is was. Positive: The location was great Negative: The shower by the kitchen was broken. It was far too hot, when trying to turn it down, everything was broken and would just spin. My partner ended up cutting his hand as there were screws missing. The upstairs en-suite was dusty and had cobwebs near the shower entrance. Was a pleasant stay, but didn’t think it was worth the money spent.

as our 30th wedding anniversary, we just wanted something that would help to create the best of memories.....it did that, and more some. The location was perfect for everything we wanted. The apartment was exactly as described and on the one occasion we needed to contact the owner/host, they responded almost immediately. The only small downside was not being able to park close by but we were prepared for that, being in the middle of the town, plus the description did highlight this. A big thank you from my wife and I.....we will be back again, I'm sure.

The apartment itself is gorgeous, so well furnished and decorated. It’s in a fabulous location and well worth the money in these respects. Lovely comfy sofa and all you need in the kitchen. Could have been a bit cleaner. Beds were comfy, as was the sofa! I would Hope to stay again. Thank you

Looks lovely in the advert but lots of things need looking at. Sofa is stained and dirty and has dog hairs on .... Stairs and one of bedrooms floor was heavy in dust and hair. Upstairs bathroom flooring is water damaged, wet and spongey. Heating thermostat in main bedroom not working, so always cold. 2 plug in radiators to compensate inadequite heating for the whole appartment is obviousley apparent, but not powerfull enuff for what was needed. Kitchen appliance thick with dust.

Great location but apartment was a let down for all the reasons above Positive: Its location was excellent. Negative: Front door to the apartment block did not shut properly so was always open(not good for security), WiFi didn’t work throughout(not good for work), the whole apartment needed some attention and the building and apartment wasn’t very clean.

The apartment is nice, it's well-represented by the photos and really well-located. Unfortunately, we had some issues that really impacted our trip. The WiFi didn't work at all. We called up support and they treated us like morons 'Have you turned it on at the wall', 'Have you entered the password properly' etc? And it feels a bit insulting after reading previous reviews where this is clearly an ongoing issue. The scratch card for the parking was not there on arrival. Support said they would resolve the issue. This meant they would drop off a scratch card at some point in the key box, and NOT TELL US that it was there. So we didn't find it until the end of the trip. The shower downstairs still wasn't working. There was a lot of dust all over the place, esp. under the beds. They didn't provide a vacuum cleaner or even a broom or dustpan and brush which was a real pain since we had an infant and a pet with us. And the corkscrew was broken. Really lacking in attention to detail.

An adorable and super comfortable apartment, in a lovely central location with very pretty views. The place was spotlessly clean, and the linen looked like new, with all the modern appliances you could need. The layout was very quaint; the top floor of a historic building on a gorgeous winding street right in the centre of town and next to the estuary.

Positive: Location was great and central. Spacious and tidy. Beds were so comfy Negative: Lots of stairs as it was on the 3rd floor. But completely my fault as didn't check it thoroughly. But was good exercise for us all though. So not a negative.

Positive: The location was excellent 👌 Negative: A lot of stairs ,the downstairs toilet didn't always flush . Had to pay£18 for parking as there was no parking scratch card left for us .Took a while to get through to someone on the phone about parking but the person was hard to understand.

It is a nice apartment in a great location that despite the slight drawbacks I would stay in again. Positive: Excellent location in the heart of Whitby. Light and spacious apartment with both a separate shower room and an en-suite. Good WiFi. Negative: The lighting in the kitchen/dining area is poor with a large clumsy shade overhanging the dining table which I constantly banged my head on and gave out minimal illumination. Periodically there is a smell of drains from somewhere in the building that can be quite powerful but which I’m sure can be sorted. I was wakened during the night by a window fitting collapsing that I suspect had been damaged by a previous tenant but left unrepaired.

Very nice modern apartment with great facilities & views, also very central for pubs & restaurants Positive: Location is perfect, bars restaurants & attractions close by , nice view looking out towards the abbey & the swing bridge. Negative: The steps up to the apartment are quite narrow & are challenging for some people. Parking to unload your baggage is a bit tricky as there are double yellow lines.

Difficult access but bright comfortable apartment once in. Positive: Modern, bright conversion. Toilet roll provided [ most holiday lets don't] . Good views of the Abbey and swing bridge. Central location. Negative: Getting into property a pain. Stand on a narrow step to access key code. Forbidding door, underlit. Inside hall dusty and unwelcoming. 3 flights of narrow steep stairs to access the apartment. Difficult with cases and shopping bags. 1 step on the 2nd flight of stairs had loose carpet. Front door handle was hanging off. Cover on the sofa quite stained.

Lovely stay great location

Great location, but too small and cramped Positive: Fantastic location - couldn't be better. Simple check-in and clear instructions. Clean and tidy, although could do with some maintenance. Negative: Very small rooms, especially the bedrooms. No good for anyone that isn't comfortable with tight spaces. Entrance was up 3 flights of steps via a very narrow spiral staircase, which didn't help the feeling of claustrophobia. Parking info was misleading. The reality is that you'll need to park quite far away from the apartment as only spaces marked with a "W" can be used. There are several of these around, but some distance from the apartment. Can't be helped, but should have been made clearer.

Positive: Location is very central, access to property is easy, we had the top floor apartment, light and bright, lovely view outside the living room window of the swing bridge and the cathedral. Negative: Anybody with access issues would not recommend this top floor apartment 5 flights of stairs and quite narrow. Cleanliness was ok but underneath settees and beds not great bathrooms and kitchen all ok.

Perfect location Positive: The air The air BnB was in the perfect location right in the centre of the town, the apartment was really bright and let in plenty of light, the rooms are all good sizes and the view from the front room and the bedroom is gorgeous looking across fo the Abby and the church. We didn't use the parking as we arrived before we could check in and a lot of streets were closed due to the regatta which we didn't know was on but going out the see the fire works was a bonus! The entrance is easy to work and get in, it's a bit tired looking and steep spiral stairs up to the top which isn't a problem if your able bodied. Inside the apartment if could do with a really deep clean there was quite a lot of thick dust, the sofa cushions need a clean and on stripping the beds before leaving there was a lot of stains and marks on the mattress protectors... The shower is really good and powerful in the en-suit, as didn't use the other one. Plenty of places to eat and drink right on the door step. The seagulls are so loud as soon as the sun comes up and did wake us up but this was to be expected and we managed to go back off to sleep. We would definitely stay here again. Negative: It hadn't been properly deep cleaned and was very dusty and dirty sheets.

A great two night stay in the centre of Whitby. The decor of the apartment is fantastic, amenities were great for us as a couple, a 4YO and a dog. We found parking at the station easier and carrying our things across as it was so close. We did the overnight parking there for ease which was only £3 something rather than driving around the busy centre at 16:30. Yes there are stairs to climb, yes you can hear seagulls (we've stayed in Whitby previously and they were much noiser) and the lovely window view is compromised due to their poop. The apartment itself as previously said is great, it could definitely do with a deep clean and some TLC as up close it is looking rather worn. I'm sure when it was freshly done it was beautiful! We stayed a Monday and Tuesday evening, so the pub and surrounding was fairly quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and couldn't have asked for a better location for what we wanted, thank you!

What a perfect location in Whitby! Right in the center of everything. Just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, landmarks, train station, shopping... literally perfect location. The view was incredible. The hosts were very responsive, a reply was waiting just a few minutes from the time I would send messages. And the checkin/checkout process was clearly explained and very simple. We would most certainly recommend this property and stay here again ourselves.

Positive: The property was ok. Negative: The service was bad. There is no one here to deal with problems. We booked and paid for parking at the property. The parking is not at the property, it is by permit in the local streets and you have find a parking spot if ones available. You must follow the parking rules very carefully as not to get a parking ticket. They forgot to leave any parking permits at the property. So I couldn't park any near the property. I had to park almost a mile away from the property and I had to struggle my bags over that distance. It took them 25 hours to remedy the problem. There has never been a proper apology. They are cold and only seem to want your money. After I booked and paid for my stay they then sent me an email suggesting I need to purchase insurance. Then the emails kept following with more pay for services. You are not a guest. But a cash cow. The apartment was good but the service was crap. The very last email was you better be out by 10am or we will charge you more.

New home from home, we’ll be back. Positive: The view & location is incredible, can’t ask for better. Negative: The front door handle was hanging off when we arrived & I was worried that we’d get the blame for it & charged for the damages but it didn’t bother us as the door still functioned. The stairs to the top can be a lot if you have a lot of bags but it’s ok, I’d still want that same apartment again next time, we loved it.

Lovely place, easy to find.

We enjoyed a truly memorable stay here and the flat was exceptional value for money. The two-storey maisonette felt light, spacious and airy throughout, with a particularly spacious kitchen dining area. The views from the lounge straight across the swing bridge were fantastic, with always something interesting going on outside. The whole property was immaculately clean and very well presented. Both bedrooms had limited headroom but the beds and mattresses were extremely comfortable spotless and we slept very well. There are over 40 very steep steps up to the flat, so it would not be suitable for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues but if that's not you then this apartment IS for you. Overall this was a wonderful stay in a bright clean property with outstanding views, and we would while-heartedly recommend it to others.

The apartment was centrally located, nicely decorated, and the beds were comfortable for our weekend stay in Whitby. It also has a great view of Whitby Abbey across the bridge! While the apartment was nice, it has several signs of wear such as broken and crooked toilet seats, a broken baby safety gate, broken blinds in the room with two standard beds, and a stained couch with flat cushions. We also couldn't get the apartment to warm up beyond 17-18 degrees. A few improvements to repair the broken items would have brought this review up to 5 stars.

Nice, comfortable and stylish apartment in a fantastic location in the heart of Whitby. Comfy beds, nice lounge/kitchen and good showers. It is up quite a lot of stairs, but the listing makes this clear. One small criticism is that the kitchen could be slightly better appointed - a few more mugs/glasses and perhaps an extra pan or two, but overall a lovely stay and we’d happily come back.

It wasn't clear the apartment was on the third floor, apart from that the location was great. The key box to the apartment is a little temperamental. The apartment was clean & cosy with good views from the lounge window. The W parking location is near by but they go quickly. Will defiantly go back to this accommodation. Great stay

Unfortunately it was a cold and wet day when we arrived. After climbing a very narrow winding staircase to our apartment - some 40 or so steps - it was disappointing to find that the rooms were very cold as no heating had been switched on in anticipation of our arrival. After switching on the underfloor heating it did begin to warm up, but to add to the frustration this did not appear to work in the main bedroom or the ‘en suite’. A free standing electric heater was provided but wasn’t easy to switch on having a very puzzling control panel. The ‘final straw’ was the supposedly heated towel rail in the second bathroom ( shower / toilet ) didn’t work either. A second heater did work ok. We had been promised a free parking ticket would be left in the apartment but this wasn’t there. I did speak to the host lady who apologised and arranged for it to be delivered early next morning and it did arrive. On the plus side the place was reasonably well furnished and the beds were comfortable - albeit that you had to be careful not to bang your head due to the low and sloping roof. Overall it was disappointing I’m afraid, having booked for two nights, we decided to leave after the first thus avoiding the requirement to check out by 10am.

Easy check-in, great location, comfy beds. Bathroom radiator not working and heating generally set too low so it was chilly.

Excellent location. Lovely decor in the flat and it was clean. However general lack of basic kitchen utensils (eg corkscrew) no condiments (salt/pepper) no kitchen roll, so it felt very sparse. Heating also an issue. The downstairs bathroom radiator was not working and the upstairs bathroom has no radiator at all so no facility to dry wet towels making showering a cold and unpleasant experience. There is no central heating in the property just 2 electric heaters in each of the bedrooms. There is some under floor heating but the pre set timing of the heating is not great leaving the apartment feeling cold. Would I stay again… yes if I was only using this as an overnight stay not somewhere to spend anytime inside.

Great location. Nicely furnished. Not that clean and things didn’t work. Wouldn’t stay again Positive: Location, nicely furnished Negative: Couldn’t get underfloor heating in kitchen and double bedroom to work. Boiler cupboard has leaflets and other papers just chucked on the floor under the boiler. Stairs in apartment not clean. Standalone radiator sparking when tried to use it. Emergency escape light in living room broken. Sofa didn’t look clean and had black hairs on it. Heated towel rail in downstairs shower room not working as no electric to it. Gap between shower cubicle and sink unit in downstairs shower room hasn’t been cleaned for quite some time. Marks on bed base in twin room. Marks on bedding, bedding was clean but had obviously been marked, washed and reused rather than taken out of circulation. Shower drains not draining properly, when removed drain covers found gunk in them so obviously had not been cleaned for quite some time or indeed ever. Communal staircase has not been cleaned for since time as dirty in the gaps between the spindles. Also when descending the stairs the downstairs the last twist and couple of steps are in darkness and you have to navigate these in darkness until the sensor picks up you are there at which point the light does come on, it’s dangerous.

Dirty unclean cold por value poor customer service Positive: Nothing apart from it being across the road from the swing bridge. There is noise from the street below and the pub at night and birds on a morning bear that in mind but we wouldn't recommend saying here at all despite it being central because the cleaning standards are not up to scratch read the previous reviews seems they don't learn their lesson or take any notice from previous compaints. Negative: It was dirty hadn’t been cleaned - don’t stay here. We arrived to find the dishwasher hadn’t been cleaned or the fridge, the kettle still had water in it as did the coffee machine. There were balls of dust everywhere and sweet wrappers on the floor. We rang and complained we were asked to go out and wait for cleaners which we did when we got back they hadn’t been. We rang again too late cleaners were finished for the day. We had to clean it ourselves we haven’t been offered any compensation or refund. It got cold, the under floor heating was poor and didn’t warm the place up at all there were some free standing heaters but they don’t really heat such a large place. The customer service is poor, the cleaners should be embarassed they came back the next day but still left that dirty cloth which was the state we got it in. Poor value for money I don't go for a weekend away to have to clean the place as we also had to put all the glasses and plates in the dishwasher and clean them all you would think this would be standard for these types of places? All in all a very poor and disappointing experience, nobody cared, nobody came, we have complained but waiting for a refund and/or compensation. Be very wary staying here.

Avoid, avoid, avoid Positive: Location Negative: On arrival the heating wouldn't work, after afew hours one maintenance man turned up with a convector heater which had no legs attached so we had to balance it on 2 cups, the other heater was digital operated,no instructions to work anything,couldn't get the hob or oven to work, 2 heaters to warm a 2 bed apartment was totally inadequate, one of the showers was too hot and no option to control it,not enough cups cooking utensils etc, some of which were dirty, no plug in the kitchen sink, the apartment is on the 3rd floor so lots of steps to climb, we was told the heating didn't work the day before we arrived and was an on going issue, if this is the case it should not be available until these issues are corrected.

Positive: The location was great. Large clean apartment comfortable beds and a powerful shower. Negative: The fridge was not very clean nor was the oven.

An excellent property in the heart of Whitby. The only real problem was the ammount of stairs to access the apartment.

Can’t find a fault with this accommodation and would happily stay again. Easy to find, extremely central location and beautifully decorated. It was spacious, light and clean. Lots of little touches such as mirrors everywhere, soft towels and bedding available . From other reviews we’d disagree and say the seagulls aren’t an issue - we didn’t hear them at all. No faults from us - thank you for a lovely stay!

Lovely clean apartment in the middle of Whitby. No issues with seagulls. Pub outside was also quiet during our midweek stay. Had to park 10minutes walk away - all Whitby is like this but the prepaid parking cards were welcomed.

Great location, in the centre of Whitby. Not too loud despite visiting in high season and being right in the centre. Clean, well decorated, lovely apartment. Good tv. Seagulls are loud as a pre-warning but not really in the apartments control of course, could do with a few more plates, bowls etc but overall a fantastic place.

Great place, exactly as described. Really clean and well-decorated. There is a lot of noise from seagulls but nothing to be done about it - if you're like me and read past reviews, earplugs work wonders! Stairs up to the top floor apartment are fairly steep and narrow, but are well lit with automatic lighting. Really appreciated the coffee machine!

Excellent apartment - very convenient to the bars and restaurants. The apartment is very cosy, comfortable and extremely clean - would highly recommend if your planning a trip to beautiful Whitby.

Lovely modern apartment right in the centre of Whitby. Can be a little noisy at night given its location. This stops by 11pm though. There were parking permits in the apartment. This was not advised by Host & Stay so we ended up paying £32 for 3 days parking. Overall though it was a great place to stay.

Lovely place, fresh looking only disappointed was no WiFi. This was partly our fault as the listing said no wi fi be aware of this as it did not stand out for us, however in the property there was wi fi name and code but you could not connect. When I asked air bnb they said not on listing however host apologised we could not access it. Place was nice communication not so good when u called the support number for the company. But Charlie was helpful

Absolutely filthy apartment!! Great location. Overall not good with how dirty the apartment was Positive: The location is fantastic right in the centre of Whitby. Negative: The property was filthy! There was dirty underwear under our bed. The apartment was filthy. It smelt very badly of smoke. There was ash in the bedroom draws. No toilet roll was left there was an old used bar of soap in the bathroom. The shower in the top bedroom didn’t drain. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been hoovered since it was put down. The sofa. Was absolutely filthy!! Literally disgusting we never sat on it it was that bad! Luckily we didn’t need to be in the apartment much. No wifi!! This also meant the heaters didn’t work because they could only work on WiFi. The main door to the building the lock doesn’t work so anyone can walk in. It is not like the pictures advertised!!!
