Perfect place for a weekend away with family and friends Positive: Great location

Great views (and not a lot more!) Positive: This property is all about the view! Negative: It desperately needs a deep clean. The sofas were covered with stains - I had to buy throws as we could not sit on them. There were also stains on carpets. In addition there were damp patches on the walls in 2 bedrooms. There was a significant amount of dust on all surfaces. The freezer was so iced over that we were unable to use it. I reported all of this (with photos) with no suitable response. THEN we realised on DAY 3 (out of 8) that the heating wasn’t working (until that point the weather had been reasonably mild) They then told us that they had known there was an issue with the boiler yet they had still allowed us to move in! Eventually the company said they would try to move us but this was not a feasible option for 5 adults and 2 children during half term week in Whitby!!!!!! In the end we bought some fan heaters to use. They told us they were expecting a new part for the boiler on the Monday - we left on the Wednesday and had still not received any update!!!! Considering the significant amount of money we had paid for the rental (plus I then also paid out for throws and heaters!)I had foolishly expected a high standard of service but unfortunately it fell far short. Very disappointing.

Will definitely book again, has been one of the best family holidays we’ve ever had, the whole place was just a dream to Positive: The open balcony, the spacious lounge, open plan kitchen arrangement, a great family space and the views of the harbour, marina & river Negative: Not really things we didn’t like about the property as there’s nothing we didn’t like, and we’ll definitely be booking again, Parking is a bit hit and miss but it’s free if you can grab a spot, the garage is a godsend, again not something we didn’t like but 2nd floor back bedroom got quite warm during our stay because weather was great and no real way of ventilating the room

Family break Positive: Gorgeous apartment, veiw from balcony and location was excellent Negative: One of the twin beds needs replacing, a really bad dip in the middle leading to the family member having a disturbed sleep. Parking not great.

Coastal Town House Whitby Positive: Very close to Town & all facilities. Bedrooms were very roomy. Negative: Kitchen :- toaster didn’t work on one side. Pedal bin lid broken we had to put a chopping board on lid otherwise it would have been smelly. Also it did ask if wheelie bin was full to take your rubbish home. Carpets on stairs & landing were all stained. The landing looked like a dog had peed on it. Stains all over furniture. It felt grubby. Bathroom on first floor & bedroom had black mould around shower screen. Brown stains on ceiling & walls. As a family of 8, we had 2 cars. Only parking for one. All the near by car parks were always full & charged £11:90 for overnight parking. Travel cot stained & broken. Luckily we had our own.

Really enjoyed it, would definitely re-visit. Positive: Great location, well laid out & worked well for our family. Negative: Would’ve liked an extra key.

Close to main Whitby town centre. Overall it was a lovely place to stay in beautiful Whitby Negative: some chipped mugs plates and broken glass. Toilet needed securing in the upstairs bathroom and door catching on the tiled floor. also we had an issue with shower in upstairs front bedroom which still requires further maintenance . Banister needs a coat of paint. clock in the kitchen needs a battery. shower mat required for bath in main bathroom as it was quite slippy. most of these issues are minor but just needed attention.

Whitby ❤️ Positive: We loved the size of the house. We were two families and we had more than enough room to spread out and not get under each other's feet! The bedrooms were clean and comfortable and the living area was a lovely place to sit and relax looking out at the boats. The kitchen is well equipped and the appliances were easy to use. There is a spare bin bag, tea towels, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid left for you to use too so no need to take your own! Negative: There is parking for one car in the garage. We took a van which wouldn't fit but it is unclear whether you can park outside the garage on the path or not. I rang the company and was told on the phone that it was OK to park on the path by someone who didn't really know the answer. IT ISN'T OK! YOU MUST PARK ELSEWHERE IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE CARS OR YOUR VEHICLE DOESN'T FIT IN THE GARAGE. We spoke to a police officer who just happened to be nearby and he confirmed this for us - it is likely you will get a ticket! Parking is free with no time limits on the road outside the property but spaces are like gold dust. We were lucky! The bi-fold doors, if you manage to get them open, are lovely but they are quite stiff. You just need a bit of patience and a bit of welly! The ground floor bedroom was lovely and quiet but there is a light chute right above the bed! I'm fine with it - I wake up early but if you like a lie-in, in a dark space then maybe bagsy a different bedroom!

My family and I had a great time here. The house was tidy and we loved the view. The location was perfect for us, and close to everything we needed. The only issue we noticed was the Bigfolding doors were a little tricky to open and the handles seemed loose where I assume previous guests were having similar issues getting the doors open/closed. However, this didn’t ruin our stay. We had a lovely time, the house is beautiful and we would definitely stay again :)

All very good - i booked this trip on behalf of a family member...initially the communication with the host got confusing as i tried to explain they needed to communicate with the guest rather than me (i gave all their details a couple of time) but once sorted all was fine. Guests reported they would definitely go again & would recommend.

Paid top dollar, for truly abysmal service,whoever runs and cleans thu Positive: From start to finish this was very disappointing, i booked the trip and paid full i seen the money leave my account. i got confirmation of booking the following day Host & stay rang me to state that i would have pay my balance or could risk losing the holiday, the problem is they operate from india and basically have very poor customer service. i contacted booking to confirm the transaction anyway after three more emails from host & Stay they backed off,all communication is generic garbage. Negative: The general housekeeping of this apartment is actually disgusting, i new on entrance this was going to a rough ride the door fell to pieces the screw cover was not fixed. One key to share between 6 adults. The carpets need good clean. All of the walls and skirting boards are absolutely covered debris. There was empty water bottle on the stairs. The floor under the dining table was covered in food debris. The fridge was very dirty. The doors for the balcony looked as if theyed been wiped with an oily rag. The bathroom downstairs had black hair everywhere. There is cobwebs all over the bedroom walls. We contacted Host & stay 5minutes of arrival to speak to someone, they said they get a cleaner for the following day, i told them not to bother as we would clean it to our standard. i don’t know we these apartments opened but it certainly has not been maintained you could actually see the wood through the paint. No attention to detail first impressions last when that handled fell off i thought the cleaner is aware that. The problem is the staff at saltburn need to be more accountable instead of allowing all the issues go to India. The reviews are plain to, how many people complained about the too hot, it’s not trying to get a plumber when halfway across the world.

The house is lovely We had the same issues as previous people with the bi-fold doors not working properly and are definitely in need of a service and repair. The shower in the main bedroom was broken so had to share one bathroom between the 6 of us which wasn't great. But apart from this, the house is clean, tidy and comfortable. The location is brilliant, easy to get to everywhere. The pub next door is lovely and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

We stayed here as a party of four couples . The apartment is in a perfect spot great walking distance to everything Whitby has to offer . I would most certainly stay here again if we return to the area .

Booked this for my husband, brother home from Australia and his friend. They all raved about the place how beautiful and spotless inside and very central. I’ve never been myself …. After their feedback would want to stay … thanks for providing a great place 😉

We booked Whitby for my partners suprise 50th birthday. Whitby did not disappoint! Loads to do and loads of places eat and drink too. The property location was perfect. Everything is close by and walkable. The views from the living room and balcony of the harbour and beyond were amazing. Great property layout too. Big spacious rooms. I would recommend this property and would definately like to return.

We attended for our friends 60th birthday. Fantastic location, awesome views. We absolutely loved it!

The location and the property is fantastic. However I was disappointed that I had specifically asked for extra glasses so I could host more than 8 people for my Mother in Laws 90th Birthday on the day of the arrival. I was assured there would be sufficient glasses, however when I got there there were 3 wine glasses. There was not enough towels for 8 people and one dish towel so I had to buy more. I had also asked that all the showers worked as this was noted in previous reviews. I was assured that they were all working, however in the front room the shower was dangerously hot and we were unable to amend the temperature. Also the property could do with a good clean especially the oven. These comments have been noted before and not been rectified and this is a real shame as the property is fabulous.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay. The Apartment is in a really good location and the view over the harbour is lovely. The shower in the suite wasn’t working and looking back through reviews it appears that this has been a problem with previous guests. I reported this but never heard back. This meant that 4 adults had to share 1 shower. The property wasn’t equipped for 8 guests we were there to celebrate an 80th Birthday and had brought Champagne but there was only 3 glasses. There was only 2 wine glasses . This isn’t good enough to say that evey guest pays for damage cover and things clearly aren’t getting replaced. The carpets and sofas are heavily stained and skirting boards and woodwork are dirty. Definitely not worth the money we paid.

Positive: Location is great, the balcony is a night touch even in winter. Dog friendly which is great. The property is a good size and plenty of room for everyone. Most bedrooms with an en-suite. Negative: Could do with some repairs and a lick of paint here and there

Booked thru air b&b, received confirmation of booking, reciept of payment, messages on the day, arrived in Whitby I had to to ring customer service because I hadn’t received lock key code to be told there was no record of booking (I had booking reference) the accommodation had been booked by someone else and the accommodation was already occupied. We were offered a refund or alternative accommodation, we opted for alternative accommodation as we were 4 hours from home with 2 children my elderly mother and 3 dogs, the alternative was far from ideal did not have the accessibility like my preliminary booking. Air b&b are currently looking into my complaint.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Coastal Townhouse. The modern layout of the house was nice, and the view of the marina and the rest of Whitby from the living area was wonderful. The kitchen/lounge is on the top floor (of 3 floors), so guests with mobility issues would probably struggle, but it’s great for anyone who doesn’t mind climbing a few sets of stairs. Having on-site garage parking was a great perk. It’s a short easy walk to the Whitby town centre with all its shops and restaurants. The rental company requires a £250 damage deposit or £25 (non-refundable) damage waiver, so be aware of that. The carpets and furniture could do with a refresh, but the space is clean, and we’re always appreciative of pet-friendly accommodation. We would absolutely stay here again when visiting Whitby.

Stunning views, relaxing stay. Positive: Fabulous location with stunning views. 3 storey townhouse with living/kitchen/diner and large balcony with bi-fold doors to the top floor. Key box to the side of the building near the iron gate. Great size garage, got our 4x4 in. Garage door is electric with remote fob in garage, its tempremental and not clear which button to press to open/close. Beautiful airy accomodation. Great bedrooms and bathrooms. Good powerful showers. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of crockery and cutlery, pans, baking trays. Clean fridge and freezer, cooker,hob and dishwasher. Its a great place to relax and chill and within walking distance for everywhere in Whitby. Very happy with what I paid for a short mid-week break (June 2025) for a four double/twin roomed house. Clean towels and bedding on arrival. Comfy sofas and good T.V.. Dining table seats 8. Layout of the house is perfect. The house is clean and fresh. What can let it down is the paintwork, its worn, knocked and scuffed through use. This did not effect our stay, but can understand other comments that might say it looks dirty, it isnt dirty just knocked/scuffed. Largest plates are chipped and could do with replacing. I would go back in a heartbeat.

The house was not as clean as it could be...hair in bathroom drawer, dirty hand rails/door frames, really dirty windows. Also disappointing that they only provide 1 toilet roll in each bathroom- whilst I appreciate it is not their job to provide supplies a decent amount of basics would make a difference. Ultimately a nice enough property in a great location - just looked tired. Main reason for lower score is that we had a problem with the shower main bathroom- my elderly mother was trapped in the shower - the water was too hot. Turning the heat control appeared to have no effect. Turning the on/off control also did not work. Eventually we got the shower turned off but by then the smoke alarms had triggered and my 16 year old daughter burnt her hand on the control. We reported the issue but we appeared to simply get an AI generated response - no concern that anyone may be injured. Hopefully the shower issues are fixed - Host & Stay need to look at their communication

We were deeply disappointed with the experience. The primary reason we booked this property was for the bi-folding doors. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered the doors were broken and couldn’t be used, which was a major letdown. In addition, the master ensuite shower was stuck on the highest temperature, which nearly scalded my 78-year-old grandmother. The water was so hot that we couldn’t turn the shower off without covering our arms in towels, resulting in a lot of steam that set off the fire alarm. This was a dangerous and stressful situation that could have been avoided with proper maintenance. The property itself is in need of attention. The walls desperately need a fresh coat of paint, and the carpets throughout are heavily stained, making the place feel worn and uncared for. Despite raising these issues with the host, the only compensation offered was 20% off a future stay, which does not reflect the impact of these problems on our experience. We wouldn’t recommend.

Absolutely Fabulous! Positive: I booked this for my Mam's 70th birthday. Along with my partner & Mam, we were accompanied by my brother, his partner & two kids. (13 + 4) I can't rate the staff too highly as they are obviously not on-site. I did however call host & stay to request an early check-in. The lady I spoke to was very helpful. She was also of great assistance helping us to enter the property (we were trying the wrong lock box) I also had several email correspondence from host & stay before our stay. The townhouse was immaculate, even the garage! The rooms were spacious & pristine. The decor was beautiful & very well thought out. The kitchen had every utensil (apart from a whisk) To be fair, most people wouldn't require one! I can not recommend enough, we will definitely be staying again. At first it may seem expensive, but the fact that it has four great sized bedrooms & a huge living area with AMAZING VIEWS it is worth every penny. We loved our stay & didn't want to leave. More importantly, my Mam had a fantastic birthday and the kids loved it. 5++++ stars! Negative: Having to leave!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coastal Townhouse - modern, comfortable accommodation with great views of the harbour. Fantastic location for exploring Whitby, the Abbey and coastal walks. The rooms are beautifully decorated and are very spacious. Beds were comfy and toiletries were an added bonus.

A great place to stay to celebrate special occasions within easy reach of all Whitby has to offer! It’s rare to find such a modern and central place that’s dog friendly! We especially loved the view from the balcony. Overall thank you for a fantastic stay! We would definitely return X

Great apartment Positive: Excellent location and a lovely apartment. Negative: Unfortunately it wasn't cleaned to a very good standard. There were what looked like dog hairs in a drawer; at the bottom of the stairs it looked like small blood splashes on wall and floor; thick dust at back of bed in ground floor bedroom; crumbs on the sofa.

Positive: The location was perfect. The balcony and view was lovely to sit in a morning and eve (a little warm in the aft but we had amazing weather) Very spacious plenty of bathrooms for everyone. Negative: The cleanliness although the bathrooms and bedding was clean it felt like it could do with more of a deep clean on skirting boards etc and stains on sofas also fresh paint on the scuffs would make alot of difference. The cons wouldn't put me off from booking again as like I said it felt generally clean and the location and balcony win it over for me.

Coastal town house Positive: Beautiful spacious apartment with fantastic view and great location. Beds comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely bedrooms. Sunny balcony late afternoon Negative: We were text tge wrong number of the apartment so we thought it was number 28. The email did say 24 but we only went back to this after trying to get into 24. We were told the garage key was with the door key. It wasnt. Turns out the garage door is operated by remote once into the property which we didnt discover until 24 hours later. Upon arrival we did contact agency and they said someone would come round with a key! They didnt. Fortunately there was a parking space on the street but we were very lucky to get this. Staff at agency need ro be given details of the property. Someone should have been able to message and tell us it was elecronic opening once acess gained to property

Nice place, spacious. Good location with garage parking. Positive: The location was excellent. The amount of bathrooms was great for us. The living/ dining area felt spacious for the six of us. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Nice to have tea, coffee and sugar on arrival. The accommodation was very clean. We liked the on line brochure that was sent and the recommendations for food and activities etc. Garage parking a real bonus in this area. Balcony was appreciated. Host always responded quickly. Negative: Instructions about the garage key were wrong in the on line brochure, (there was no key). Some of decorations and furnishings were a bit jaded - scuffs on walls, stains on sofas and placemats. No bedside lamp in one of the bedrooms. We bought some more forks as there were only 5, (place sleeps 8). Recommend regular inventory. Would have been nice to have another 2 dishwasher tablets (2 supplied for a 4 night stay) and an extra loo roll in shared bathroom. No fresh milk on arrival, only UHT. These small things just seemed a bit stingy for price paid compared to other places we have stayed. If these small niggles were addressed, would have been excellent rather than good.

We love Whitby and visit every year! Cannot wait to return Positive: It was a lovely modern house, clean and very spacious. It was in a great location Negative: The living/kitchen on the top floor The hot water supply was poor and the central heating did not work so it was cold. I contacted the appropriate people, who were supposed to be speaking to an engineer and calling me back, but this never happened, so I sent an email and received a reply about trying to get the pilot light lit, it there was a message on the s teen that the igniter wasn’t working. They asked for a photo of this, so we sent one. No more contact after this.

Fantastic house in a great location. Everything we could have wished for. There were just two things we found. The bench furthest from the window has a loose leg and the nut is missing to tighten the leg. Although we loved the place I think that some of the chipped crockery could do with replacing Apart from that FANTASTIC Thank you

A little disappointing Positive: Great position and a lovely property Negative: We have stayed before. Firstly the bifold doors which are a huge bonus to the property were broken. Apart from the front bedroom there are few windows in the property (none on the ground floor) . It was oppressively hot. We rang Host and stay who said they would send an engineer but didn’t. We have heard nothing more from them. Luckily (in one way) the weather turned which relieved the humidity slightly. Also found the property a little tired. Carpets were dirty, one of the showers didn’t work. A shame because last time we stayed it was perfect

The location was fantastic and bedrooms were a great size. Unfortunately the bifold doors where broken and very difficult to open and we had issue with stains on the carpet, sofa and beds. Host and stay and air b and b have resolved our issue now.

Location great with added bonus of garage. Bedroom on ground floor had no window but a strange light, activated during daylight hours making it difficult to sleep and could not be turned off. Also very noisy due to being directly under bathroom. Main bedroom had an issue with shower as water was scalding hot with further problems resulting in an emergency plumber being called. All the carpets needed a good clean as they were badly stained as was the sofa. Also the oven was dirty. The best thing about coastal townhouse was the amazing views and being able to sit on the balcony .

Lovely place to stay, views of the harbour were wonderful. Only a short walk to the town. bedrooms were lovely and comfortable, unfortunately our en-suite shower taps wouldn't adjust, informed the company, but we had to use downstairs shower, which wasn't a problem as this bedroom was empty. hopefully this was fixed before anyone else scalded themselves under it! Damage deposit ... it takes 2 weeks before this is refunded and then is £10 less for admin fee!! I think this is a bit of a joke, especially as we couldn't use our en-suite shower and weren't offered any compensation. All in all, we had a wonderful stay. We love Whitby ❤️

The apartment was as wonderful as the pictures portrayed. The views across the harbour and watching the steam trains come and go was fabulous. The bedrooms are a great size, the kitchen was very well laid out with everything you need to make your stay great. The parking garage with automatic door was a real bonus. I will definitely book again

View over harbour from dining area/balcony was excellent. Rooms well lit and bright. The upstairs dining/balcony is South-ish facing so gets the sun all afternoon and evening. I suspect it's lovely in cooler weather, but in the week we went, it was very hot and very bright, with no shade.

Lovely apartment overlooking the harbour and not far to walk into Center. Well equipped with everything you would need. Only downfall would be sofas being very stained looked dirty!!

This holiday let is in a great location, however I would not recommend until feedback is addressed. The property requires a lot of maintenance, upon checking in we immediately noticed the carpets throughout the property were in a very poor state covered in stains. The living room furniture was also the same, we resorted to purchasing throws to place over the furniture. The ground floor bedroom has a light well which is positioned directly above the bed preventing any sleep throughout the night. The en-suite shower constantly drips and the tiling was covered in mould. The bi-folding doors are a nice feature but are broken and missing a fixture. There is also an issue with the water pressure so are only able to shower one person at a time and unable to use kitchen tap while a shower is in use. Host and stay were contacted and did initially offer someone to attend and clean the property again, however no one arrived and the carpets would need a professional clean. Overall shame.

Fantastic location and great hosts with responsive communication. The townhouse was lovely and just like the photos. However some TLC needed with scuffs everywhere, shower leaking, toilet seat loose, wine fridge not working. If all of the above was corrected it would definitely be 5 star

Lovely apartment with fantastic views of the harbour. We were lucky to have such nice weather so It was great to open the bifold doors in the evenings and enjoy the sunshine. Great base to walk into the centre of Whitby. Bedrooms clean and comfortable with great en-suites. Main bathroom clean and tidy. Only thing I can fault is that the carpets and furniture could do with a clean as lots of stains and the woodwork needs a good dusting especially on the stairs. Would definitely recommend.

The house itself cannot be faulted. The house is beautiful, well kept and well decorated. It’s beautifully positioned beside the harbour as well. My issue with this host is that the communication was so poor it would put me off staying again. A security deposit was required which is more than understandable but I was asked to pay this on numerous occasions after already doing so. This meant when it came to check in, the host wouldn’t release the code for the lockbox and again were asking for the security deposit to be paid. I was outside the property for hours before I could actually get inside because the host wouldn’t release the relevant information.

We had a wonderful mid week break in Feb. This house was beautiful, a great location, fantastic that parking is included. and beautiful house. The photos didn’t do it justice. Clean house and host was very responsive. Hope to stay again.

The accommodation was perfect for us we would definitely use again. The only thing that needs changing is the description of funding the key box it said to the right of the door but was through a gate round the side of the building and the garage you had to unlock and then go in the house into the garage to get a remote to open it which it didn’t say so took us a while on the phone to sort. Once in it was perfect thank you.

Lovely stay, recommended Positive: Perfect location, great bedrooms, spacious lounge. Perfect !! Negative: Hidden fees (£10) for ID check and £250 deposit which were not mentioned on booking.com

The house was in a great location with wonderful views and very clean. The kitchen lacked a few basics - salt, cooking oil, etc, but was well equipped with utensils. The downstairs bedroom had a skylight that couldn't be covered or blocked so the light came in very early. But these were all minor points as the house was lovely and the check-in/check-out process was very simple.

Fabulous house with beautiful views over the harbour. Accommodation was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. Location was very close to the heart of Whitby.
