Poor levels of cleanliness Positive: Closeness to Whitby, 10 mins walk Negative: Cleanliness of the apartment was poor, dust everywhere, pet hair on curtains, smelt of wet dog and dirt all in kitchen drawers!

Great place to stay Positive: This was our second time here this year and we have booked again for April next year it a perfect location for Whitby not far from the beach we walked from Whitby to Sandsend and back with the dog and all enjoyed it Comfortable bed full kitchen facilities Negative: Some of the street lights are not working and and the street was very dark at night when I was out with our dog

Coach house review Positive: Lovely clean,compact and comfortable coach house. Quiet neighbourhood. Well situated, 10 minutes walk to the beach through a little short cut, Lidl just down the road. And designated parking. Negative: Bedroom door didn't shut properly. Not the most comfy sofa. Although it is a "dog friendly" property there is no enclosed garden, I really should read the blurb more carefully! However there is a lovely bit of green a couple of minutes walk away so not a huge issue.

Positive: Clean tidy comfortable stay. Not a bad walk to beach and town when you find the short cuts. Pet friendly there is a good field for dogs just five minutes away. .plenty to see and do. Negative: No garden for my dog when he wants to go out through the night for a pee. Didn't fancy going to the field at two in the morning etc

Well situated for exploring Whitby. Quiet location with parking and only a short walk into town. Clean place, and a comfortable stay, and best bit is that we could bring our pooch with us. Thanks for a great weekend!

Lovely place to spend time Positive: Clean and warm, plenty of space for two people and two dogs. All facilities mostly in a good condition, kitchen tap could do with some attention.

Very clean property but dog not allied in living area !!! Positive: Very clean fully equipped house Negative: It was stated that the property was very dog friendly. I even called the company to ensure that was correct. When we arrived on reading the house rules it stated that the dog was not allowed in the living area of the accommodation with us and had to stay downstairs in a small room on its own. This was impossible.

Positive: Beautiful accommodation. Daughter went with her 10 year old. Very clean and comfortable. Had everything they needed. Negative: Quite a dark area at night for when taking the dog for his evening walk

Positive: Lovely quiet property. Well kept and decorated, good facilities, and very clean. Nice walk into the town, found the shortcut to the beach thanks to the map, thank you. Crammed lots in to the two nights we stayed, but so much to do. We will be back for longer next year!! Our 7 year old daughter insisted on writing in the book as she was so impressed, a compliment in itself.

A lovely place for us to explore Whitby and the surrounding area! Comfortable and great for our family of three!

A really peaceful visit to see family, Positive: Lovely apartment, clean and well decorated. Well stocked kitchen. Really quiet location, away from the hordes. Fifteen minute walk into the centre of town. Negative: A coffee machine would have been the icing on the cake!

Clean apartment but bit of an odd location Positive: The property was very clean and mostly as expected. We were provided with most things that were needed, i.e. utensils, seasonings, cleaning materials. There were no issues with heating or hot water. Negative: The location was a bit of an odd housing estate, it didn't have the feel of a seaside holiday apartment. The road was very cramped to drive through, the available parking space was useful though. We had trouble with the front door most of the time, which was commented on several times in the guest book and the kitchen tap would keep running unless you remember to turn it off quite forcefully. It is listed as 2 bedrooms, however one of the beds is downstairs next to the front door in what is essentially an entrance hall. If I was to book this place for myself and a child, I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving a child sleeping next to the front door, whilst I was upstairs.

Positive: Location was perfect for a hike to Sandsend or Saltwick bay along with walks t Ruswarp. We even met Dr Liam (Emmerdale Actor) at the Stag Inn in Sandsend. Had a chat and advise him a few pubs on way to Saltburn. Negative: nothing I can think of

Lovely chilled out few days in a lovely appartment Positive: The location is excellent for accessing beach and central Whitby. Spotlessly clean and comfortable facilities Negative: The oven didn’t work properly so ruined our Christmas dinner

Lovely comfy appartment in Whitby Positive: The appartment was so comfortable and warm, lovely Christmas tree set up and all the necessary things plus some treats! We felt very happy with our stay 🙂 Negative: Location a little walk into town, and check out time is 10am

Place is in a good location. It’s quite a small place, well kept and for the price we paid with the check in (4pm) and check out (10am) times we felt that it wasn’t worth the money in the end. A B&B would have offered the same facilities, yet included a breakfast. Although it was very clean. Very nice. Just not convinced it was worth what we paid. We asked for a later check out (midday) but the message wasnt responded to. Happy enough, but for the location a price we won’t be returning.

Whitby apartment Positives: Clean apartment. Well catered for a couple. Nice walk into Whitby from the location.Good shower. Comfortable bed.Negatives: neighbourhood can be busy and noisy. Kids playing football against the wall on the car park.Many bins left overflowing so seagulls are a problem and hard to sleep at night if they are around.Couldn’t fault the host or the apartment.

Great central location for visiting Whitby! Positive: Great central location for getting in to the Whitby town centre. Really comfy bed and fab shower! Negative: Neighbours kids playing with their scooter in the undercroft next to the property. Was very loud and annoying, but as you're in a residential area, it can not be stopped. Fan in downstairs toilet incredibly noisey, so we didn't use it. Fan in upstairs toilet did not work.

Mediocre. Not ideal unfortunately as could have been in any housing estate in England. Positive: Well equipped Negative: In the middle of a housing estate so poor location.

We had a wonderful stay at Coach House Retreat in Whitby. The accommodation was lovely, comfortable and well maintained, and it was a great place to relax after exploring Whitby and the surrounding area. Everything we needed was provided, and the whole stay felt welcoming and peaceful. The location was also very convenient for enjoying Whitby.

We had a great stay at the Coach House Retreat! Lovely spot - we appreciated the dedicated parking. Vibrant neighborhood, as some of the reviews eluded to, but the overall noise died down quickly in the evening and didn’t bother us at all. Close by to amenities like groceries, and walkable distance to the beach.

Good value for money, clean and well equipped apartment, 20 Positive: Clean, well equipped, good location, quiet. Negative: The front door was sometimes difficult to open.

Nice accommodation in a quiet area out of the centre of town. Positive: Spacious, very comfortable and well equipped accommodation in a quiet neighbourhood away from the busy town centre. Lounge had two settees so we could easily relax and the king sized bed was very comfy. Parking right outside was very useful. Negative: Was a bit of a walk into the centre of the town (about 15 mins) but as we like walking this was not a problem for us. The bathroom floor could have done with a clean but otherwise the accommodation was alright. The front door was a bit tricky to open and close, probably needs a bit of oil on the locks.

A fantastic location in Whitby, very close to the seaside and Whale arch as well. On a very quiet col-de-sac. Easy to find and great parking space available. Very quiet neighbours too. Had everything we needed! We will definitely be back!

Negative: We got way to many messages about stuff like private chefs. Why would we be interested in that. Super annoying. I would just want info about the rules and how to get in. Would almost not recomend because of all the messages. I though I was being scammed for some time.

Fine for a couple of nights. Positive: Good sized, had all the facilities we needed. Negative: Location is a little further out than anticipated and the property is a bit grubby and tired looking internally.

Nice stay but a bit of a walk to the centre Positive: It was very clean and well fitted out. It was quiet and we slept well. Negative: It was quite a way out of the centre of town in a housing estate.

Positive: The location was great for us, and allocated parking was perfect with having a dog. Had everything we needed, and the bed was very comfortable. Negative: If we had to be fussy, the kitchen utensils could do with a bit of a refresh, and maybe some new chopping boards.

I had a lovely few days in the accommodation. Very comfortable, very peaceful & in a great location. Easily walkable into town & to the beach. Having the parking space was invaluable to me Overall a very pleasant stay..

Not the best Positive: Parking in front of property Negative: Not particularly clean (downstairs rug especially). I left my phone charger behind, got in touch with host and paid £7.50 for it to be posted. After 2 months it has not been sent yet. Have contacted them and although they said that this would be sorted out, they have not sent it yet. Not really fussed about the charger but having paid for it to be posted, I would have expected for it to be delivered. Really disappointing.

Positive: It was a really good apartment with an extra bed and toilet downstairs as you come in and everything else upstairs. A bit unusual in a way in that it's in a housing estate but this didn't bother us in the slightest and it was nice and quiet. The location is the only thing that might be a issue for some people because it's a good 20 minute walk into Whitby town and a bit up and down but it didn't bother us and we're in our late 60's and retired, 🙂 Negative: Nothing really......

Nice apartment and in a decent location with parking. 20 minute walk to the harbour. The downstairs bed is a single that pulls out into a double. When we pulled it out it was very dirty and dusty. It clearly hadn't been cleaned for some time. Other than that the flat was nice and the photos represent it well.

very modern apartment with two bedrooms & en suite including bath. includes designated parking also. very easy to find & a short walk from the beach through some fields. check in was rather late 4pm & check out at 10am.

Great place to stay Positive: Easy & clearly marked parking space. Clean, fresh smell on arrival. Sea themed decor. Comfortable mattresses. Cleanliness. No obvious sign (hair/smell etc) that dogs had previously been in there. Everything we needed. Extras like the PlayStation/ board games. Bath & shower. Two toilets. Negative: That we couldn't hang clothes up properly because the wardrobe has a chest of drawers in it as well as the hoover/ironing board/ wooden chest etc.

Nicht noch mal bei Host & Stay Positive: Die Wohnung entspricht der in den Bildern dargestellten.  Negative: Die Lage Sie am Stadtrand, in einem Wohngebiet mit trister Aussicht auf die Straße bzw den Innenhof mit dem schmalen Parkplatz. Die vielen Emails waren immer voller  höflicher Floskeln, besser wäre es gewesen wenn das verschmutzte Handtuch wie angekündigt auch getauscht worden wäre.  14 Tage vorher wurde ich aufgefordert für die Kaution eine Versicherung von 25 £ abzuschließen, vorher würden die Zugangsdaten zur Wohnung nicht bekannt gegeben. Das ist Erpressung! Der Hinweis auf die gemäß Beschreibung auf Booking.com kostenlose Kaution wurde ignoriert. Booking.com erwies sich in dieser Sache als ein nicht hilfreicher Partner.
