Pros: Walkable to both the train station & city centre. Milk already in the fridge on check in. Sainsbury's nearby. Friendly host. Smart TV. Good WiFi. Good shower. Easy check in. Cons: Floor dirty on check in. The miniature bin in the kitchen is neither use nor ornament. It wouldn't even fit one microwave meal tray inside it. Ended up just using a loose bin bag. The flat needs a full length mirror. There's plenty of wall space for one. The only mirror is in the bathroom and I don't like to keep my make up in the same room as a toilet flush so it made the morning make up routine awkward! The flat was freezing on check in and every night when I got in. I asked if there was a way to set it to come on before I got in from work, I was told yes via the controls on the heater. I explained those controls were inaccessible behind a screwed down plastic box and was there an alternative way, but got no reply. The flat warms up after 3 or 4 hours but was always cold when getting in at night.

i really enjoyed my stay here check in was easy all instructions were provided ahead of time for a smooth check in host was responsive and on hand for any issues that we may have had. the apartment itself was tidy clean and had all the listed amenities and everything i could need for my stay will definitely consider staying again in future if i need somewhere would highly recommend!

I was working in Darlington for a couple of days and needed somewhere to stay - this studio flat was absolutely perfect for my needs. Easy to walk from the station and into town, and had everything I needed for a short stay. The host was very responsive and sent very clear instructions for finding the flat and checking in. Would definitely stay again!

Good value and good location

Very nice all you needed and in a very convenient location

We felt very insecure. We will not be staying here again. Positive: Good points - We parked outside every time we returned to the room. The decor was clean and fresh, The bed was incredibly comfortable with crisp sheets, The bathroom was good with fresh towels. The town centre was a 10 minute walk away The view out over the houses to the rear was pleasant with the trees around the cricket ground providing a green backdrop. Negative: We booked for four nights but left after the second because we felt so insecure. WHY? - The minor points were: The hot water was plumbed into the cold side of the taps so when I tried to have a cold finish to my shower I was scalded by the hot water. The cable for the kettle was so short that we had to put it on the floor to plug it in. The door to the room was clearly not a fire door and had a simple Yale type lock fitted to the inside of the door. There was no safety chain and the door would not have provided any level of fire safety as there was an air gap all the way around and the light from the hall was visible around all four edges of the door when the light came on in the night. But the MOST concerning aspect was the fact that the front door to the communal hallway was never locked. Every time that we returned to the property, or I went to fetch something from the car, we found the front door unlocked, even when I had locked it behind me only ten minutes earlier. On three occasions it had been left open and once there was a non resident standing at the entrance blocking our access. This security issue could have been resolved by fitting a self closing and locking door, but it was just a basic domestic front door. Each time we returned to the property we were concerned the there might be someone hiding inside. We felt so unsafe after experiencing another sleepless night when the hall light kept coming on as it was activated by the PIR sensor that we decided to leave after the second night. The agent explained that they couldn’t control people leaving the door open. However they failed to appreciate that the security issue could be solved if they installed a self closing/locking communal front door. The type fitted to rooms in most hotels. The agents said they would respond to us regarding our concerns within 7 to 10 days but 26 days later and we have heard nothing.

Positive: Communication prior to our stay was excellent. The guide book link that was sent prior to our stay was an excellent source of information. The room was clean, light & nicely decorated. It had everything we needed for our stay. Negative: The only thing I could suggest was maybe adding a toaster but other than that, which is a very minor thing, everything was great.

The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen area had a kettle and microwave. We would have liked a toaster, but that is a minor issue. The room was ideally located to family members and the town centre.

Very hany for the railwat station with shops close by.

Peaceful, modern and clean flat. Perfect for a short stay for one or two people. Easy walking to and from the train station as well as the Darlington city centre. I also liked how affordable the stay was.

The room itself was clean, but the overall experience with 'Hosting Stay' was extremely frustrating. Getting into the property took over 30 minutes of standing outside. I had to call their support center, wait on hold for over 10 minutes, got cut off by the call center agent, and had to call back all over again just to get the key code. Once inside, the place was boiling. While air conditioning wasn't explicitly listed, for the price paid, one would absolutely expect at least a basic fan or some way to cool the room. It was exceptionally hot during my stay, to the point where I actually had to cover myself in wet towels just to cool down. Clean place, but the awful check-in process and unbearable heat made it a very uncomfortable stay.

People are improving the check-in process to ensure guests are on time.🕰️ Positive: Just adequate Negative: Checking in shouldn't require me to wait for the room to be cleaned first. I booked and paid immediately, and I didn't even check in early. I was on time, but the room was still full of laundry, not yet prepared for the next guest. Everyone is tired from traveling, so if the check-in process isn't ready, do I really have to wait for the room to be cleaned as well?

The photos matched the place exactly. The host was very friendly and rpelied super quickly to any msgs and questions that I had.
