A truly beautiful cottage and the perfect weekend getaway. Super comfy beds, spotless throughout, and it had everything we needed. My son absolutely loved the bunk beds and I adored the roll-top bath — such a lovely touch. We had a fantastic stay and would 100% recommend!

ElizabethBooking.comNov 2025

Beautifully presented, exceptionally clean and welcoming cottage. Positive: Communication from the start was clear and concise. Use of key box smooth and easy. The entire cottage appears to have either been newly renovated, or is cleaned and kept to the highest standard. We were blown away. Very high end, tasteful and welcoming. Just what we needed for our somewhat emotional, nostalgic family weekend. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, and more besides and again high quality. A useful welcome basket, also ample cleaning, dishwashing, toilet rolls etc supplied - so often NOT the case in other places we have stayed. Can’t praise enough. Negative: Slight issue getting onto wi-if as we missed the photo frame placed on the radiator cover in the hall. Would be useful to place that next to the router for more ‘senior’ guests like us who struggled reading the codes from the back of said router….. A very minor point and down to us in the main.

This house was lovely, really clean and well presented, it had everything we needed (including a highchair for our toddler!) and all of the kit and appliances seemed very new. Would definitely recommend.

SteveVrboJul 2025

Brilliant Perfect location for what we wanted to do. House is well equipped with modern appliances and decor. Fantastic shower in upstairs bathroom, perfect for 2 couples (and two younger children in bunk beds if you have them). Belford is a small village with very friendly people (especially the Black Swan - great music night on Sunday and Quiz on Thursday if that's your vibe). Close enough to get to towns (Alnwick, Berwick), castles (too many to mention but Bamburgh and Alnwick are the best) and natural history (Farne Islands for birdwatching). Overall a great stay!

GuestAirbnbJun 2025

Beautiful place to stay. The cottage and the location we’re fantastic. Exactly how it was in the pictures. Unfortunate when we arrived the house had not been tended to so we had to wait 2 hours for the housekeeping service to arrive which did affect my 1 year olds bedtime.

NicolaBooking.comApr 2025

Modern comfortable home ideal for families Positive: This property is exactly as described, a beautifully renovated 3-bed, 2-bath property with all the amenities you could need, great water pressure in the shower, white fluffy towels, lovely soft quality bedding and comfortable seating in the lounge/ dining room for 6 people.

House was clean and ready for us. nice touch with the Christmas tree and welcome basket.\nKitchen is well equipped, but a tea cosy for the tea pot would be helpful. Also if you want the non-stick pots and pans to last, we'd suggest some plastic or silicone utensils to prevent damage during use. This is merely feedback, rather than any criticism.\nShower was great. Log fire is a nice touch, but wasn't sure where spare logs were kept on-site, if at all. We ran out of fire wood after only half our stay.

GuestAirbnbDec 2025

A lovely stay in a quiet location close to the beautiful coast. Everything was clean and well presented in the cottage and we were even given Christmas decorations too.

We had a fab time in this lovely little cottage, nicely kitted out with everything you need, easy to find and get in, with free parking right outside. Cafe’s, pubs, chip shop and a co-op in walking distance too. The perfect spot to explore the Northumberland Coast.

GuestAirbnbMay 2025

The house is as excellent - immaculately decorated and high quality furnishings plus a well equipped kitchen to easily cater for a family. Very comfortable beds for a great night’s sleep. Excellent location in quiet village. A little off the main tourist hotspots but only a short drive to Holy Island or Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands. We were there at the perfect time of year to visit the puffins on Inner Farne - a truly amazing experience not to be missed. Host was responsive to any questions prior to our stay with full check in details sent on the morning of our arrival. Easy and flexible self check in with key in lock box ready to collect. Excellent value for money - though we did get a discount as one of their first bookings. Would happily recommend.

Originally picked as a convenient central location for three of us to meet up. The house was well presented and the town was peaceful, but still had the necessary amenities. A short drive to some interesting historical and bird watching locations on the coast. All in all, a very pleasant short stay. Thank you.

Positive: Lovely comfortable property, well located to explore the area. When we arrived we initially had a problem due to a breakdown in communication. However, this was resolved quickly and we could enjoy our get away. Special shout out to Heather who was professional and helpful. Also to Tanya & her team who did an excellent job! We went on to have a fantastic Birthday break.

Absolutely wonderful accommodation, spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard, well equipped kitchen, comfy sofas. Parking wasn’t a problem got a spot outside the house on the road. We highly recommend Cedar Cottage.

GuestAirbnbSep 2026

Cedar cottage was a great place to stay for touring the area. Plenty of places to visit near by. The cottage was tastefully decorated and all freshly done. Comfortable beds and quality finish. Would stay again.

GuestAirbnbSep 2026

Cozy, well-furnished house. Easy access to many great sites in the area. Loved the game box and kids books, which kept our young son entertained in the evening.

GuestAirbnbSep 2026

Stayed here on our annual August Bank Holiday with friends and their two children. We all loved the accommodation. Great lay out and well equipped. Great area and we stumbled across the Blue Bells 2 hour happy hour which was a pleasant start to our trip. Brilliant area to stay for exploring Northumberland. Highly recommend.

GuestAirbnbSep 2026

Very nice property with everything that was needed. Very clean. The village was very peaceful.

GuestAirbnbAug 2026

We had a lovely stay at Cedar Cottage and would definitely stay again. The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable and really felt like a home from home. It had everything we needed, including a dishwasher, washer dryer and fridge freezer, which made our stay really easy and comfortable. There is no designated parking, but this was never an issue for us as we were always able to park outside the property. The village has a well-stocked Co-op within around a five-minute walk, which was really handy. It is also a great base for exploring the surrounding area, including Alnwick, Bamburgh and Seahouses. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!

GuestAirbnbAug 2026

GuestAirbnbAug 2026

The place is superb except the noise from the traffic at night, which is a little bit disturbing

GuestAirbnbAug 2026

Throughly enjoyed every minute of our stay at Ceder Cottage in Bedford. The house is beautifully furnished, clean and with all the needed amenities - felt like a home away from home. Great location for visiting Bamburgh and Alnwick we even did a day trip to Edinburgh from here. Would highly recommend this property to anyone and hope we can come back again one day.

GuestAirbnbAug 2026

Beautiful accommodation, great location to explore Northumberland. Belford quiet but has a good co-op and Sunnyhills was great for a bite to eat and the kids could play! Perfect for our family (2 adults and 2 children 5 and 3) Would highly recommend 😊

GuestAirbnbJul 2026

Great accommodation. Clean and modern. Easy check in. Great location to explore Northumberland. Co-Op shop and pubs/restaurants in walking distance.

GuestAirbnbJul 2026

Stayed with my family including children aged 18 months and 5. Fabulous location with coop less than 5 mins walk and a playpark 10 mins away. The house is far bigger than it appears from the street. Rooms spacious, and house beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Thanks for a lovely stay!

GuestAirbnbJul 2026

We had a lovely weeks stay at Cedar Cottage. Perfectly situated for exploring, Bamburgh, Alnwick and easy to cross border to Scotland for a day trip to Edinburgh. Cottage was clean, extremely comfortable beds and has everything you would need. All in all a great week and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

GuestAirbnbJul 2026

Our stay at the house was great for our weekend away. The interior is very modern and feels new but with historical touches and individual styling around the property. The two bathrooms were brilliant and very well appointed kitchen. From the beginning and during the host remained responsive. Would love to stay again.

AndrewBooking.comJul 2026

Spacious hidden gem, well located to explore the coast and national park. Would book again! Positive: Spacious and well appointed. Homely, but not cluttered. Negative: Lack of garden and lack of outside bins.

GuestAirbnbJun 2026

Cedar Cottage was perfect for exploring the beautiful North Northumberland Coast. Very well presented with everything you would need for a relaxing stay. We would definitely recommend.

GuestAirbnbJun 2026

We loved our stay at this property. It was exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable. The accommodation is well appointed and very welcoming. We had a car so found the location fantastic for exploring lots of beautiful places such as Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands, Bamburgh, plenty of castles and lots of beautiful walks. Definitely recommend.

GuestAirbnbMay 2026

Fantastic accommodation

ElisabethBooking.comMay 2026

Lovely spacious cottage in a nice village with access to plenty of outdoor walks nearby Positive: Lovely location in a small town. Access to lots of lovely walks close by and the coast for visits to Bamburg, Alnwick and Holy Island. Propety was exceptionally clean inside, wood was provided for the log burner, sofas and beds very comfortable and little welcome package was a nice touch. The rooms were a great size and the 2 x bathrooms were very useful. Open plan living / kitchen space was lovely and sociable too. The cottage easily accomodated 4 adults in 2 double rooms and there was a spare room with bunk beds which we just used for luggage storage. Negative: There is no outdoor space included with the property as the tiny back yard acts as joint access for the neighbouring property. Didn't affect us too much as we were outdoors most of the day anyway but more of an FYI if you're looking for somewhere to sit outside with your morning coffee on a sunny day.

GuestAirbnbMay 2026

Lovely cottage, we were four adults and had plenty of space. Perfectly clean and well equipped, a good base to explore the area. Communication was very business like but gave us all we needed to know.

GuestAirbnbMay 2026

Would highly recommend. The village is friendly and has everything you need. Great location for visiting all the popular destinations, cragside, bamburgh and Alnwick v. close by!

GuestAirbnbApr 2026

We had a great stay - fantastic communication, stunning place with everything we needed. Lots of room and perfectly set up for a family of 5. Great spot to explore Northumberland from. We loved it and will definitely be back.

ChrisBooking.comApr 2026

Exceed expectations, lovely cosy place with fantastic decor Positive: Fantastic cosy property, don't fooled by the exterior or fact its on a main road, once inside it felt comfortable cosy and had everything we needed for a short stay

GuestAirbnbApr 2026

Really nice accommodation, just perfect for what we were looking for.

GuestAirbnbMar 2026

Lovely stay in Belford - great base for exploring Northumberland. Incredibly clean and tidy, comfortable beds and towels and linen felt like new. Would definitely stay again !

GuestAirbnbMar 2026

Enjoyed our stay here, great location for seeing Lindisfarne, Bamburg and Alwich. A few pubs and supermarket close by. Nice quiet spot. One thing to note 2nd bathroom is a hand held shower over the bath. This wasn't really any use to us which then meant we were all sharing one bathroom.

GuestAirbnbFeb 2026

Definitely stay at cedar cottage again Great space Everything we needed

GuestAirbnbDec 2025

An amazing place. Beautiful decor, message on 1st night to check all was ok. Extra things like biscuits, tea and Coffee and don’t forget the logs for the fire.xx

GuestAirbnbNov 2025

Beautiful cottage, rustic but homely feel. Great base to see all of Northumbria. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, beds were so comfy with plenty of spare pillows. Heating was a dream on a chilly Belford night. Really accessible, always parking outside and the local shops and pubs were a great help. We recommend you have a car and driver, although I’m sure there is transport links - please check out Alnwick, Holy Island and Bamburgh. Thanks again for such a lovely stay, we hope to be with you again very soon.

GuestAirbnbOct 2025

GuestAirbnbSep 2025

Beautiful cottage - well equipped and in a beautiful location. Everything we needed for our weekend away!

GuestAirbnbSep 2025

This house has been renovated to a very high standard. You walk in the door and think "wow". The open-plan kitchen living room was well designed and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The stairs were easy to manage and the surfaces / floors easy to keep clean. As regards the area, we could always park right outside the door and there is a Co-op just round the corner. The location is also great for visiting Lindisfarne, Seahouses, Bamburgh etc. We really enjoyed our stay and can thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

GuestAirbnbSep 2025

Lovely property in a great location for walks along the beautiful coastline and countryside. Would highly recommend.

GuestAirbnbSep 2025

The cottage was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. All rooms were as described and the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen had a big dining table leading to a lovely sitting room area. Having two bathrooms was a plus. The location is excellent for exploring Nothumbria. Having a well-stocked Co-Op 3 minute walk from the property was a bonus.

GuestAirbnbAug 2025

The house was superb, in a great location for accessing walks and other locations, the village itself is very quiet and it’s a great place to stop and relax. The house itself was spotless and well presented.

GuestAirbnbJul 2025

We chose this place because of its location, convenient for Holy Island, Ross Sands, Bamburg and Seahouses. Well situated in a peaceful village. Co-op and local public restaurant within walking distance, and a deli bistro less than 5 mins by car. Spacious modern clean property.

GuestAirbnbJul 2025

Great house to stay in, away from the crowds in a lovely small town. Nowhere of interest is far away.

EileenBooking.comJul 2025

GuestAirbnbMay 2025

The house was brilliant. It is in a good location which is nice and quiet but has a couple of local pubs and a supermarket within a 2 minute walk. The house was spotless, the kitchen / lounge is really sociable and the finish of the house is really good. The beds were comfortable and clean and the rooms were fantastic.
