Very clean, good position . Positive: Location was very good between seahouses and Bambrugh and near the beach with cut through through the housing estate to the front . Negative: It needs a new sofa. Extremely uncomfortable as springs have gone and saggy base cushions . No good if 4 people are staying needs 2 decent sofas . One across the room and one under kitchen counter or L shaped and one chair . A decent dining table more robust and 4 decent dining chairs would not go amiss either. Do not stay here if you are not related closely the bathroom is minute and it sounds like you are in the room with whoever is in there . I would say adults with children only but a lot of stairs 2 flights . I think they should have made main bedroom smaller and bigger bathroom . An ensuite of tiny proportions for 4 people .

Positive: The location was absolutely perfect for us. Me, my wife and 7 year old son stayed here after looking at numerous places to stay between, Seahouses, Bamburgh and Beadnell. We wanted somewhere close enough to Bamburgh and close to a beach and shops and restaraunts. We chose this Host & Stay at Castle View in Seahouses as it ticked all the boxes and was also a good base for visiting Alnwick, Alnwick Castle, Alnwick Gardens and Lilidorei. Looking at the maps it seemed close enough to walk to the beach. But it was even closer than i thought. Its literally a couple of mins round the corner and its a 5 minute drive to Bamburgh Castle. The beaches are amazing. White sand for miles and blue sea (on a nice day). The appartment itself in a cul de sac in a nice modern estate which is well kept. We collected our key from a small key safe on the wall outside which we were given a code for by text on the morning we were arriving. There's parking for a couple of cars diectly outside. The living room area is comfortable with a wall hung TV with access to Youtube etc and anice solid fuel stove with wood and fire starters supplied and a well equiped open plan kitchen on the 3rd floor which has good natural light with 3 large velux style windows facing the sea which you can clearly see with the Farne Islands in the distance and 2 windows on the kitchen side looking out the front. Downstairs on the 2nd floor has 2 comfortable double bedrooms with an ajoining shower room and toilet. The beds are comfortable with wardrobes and drawers and bedside lamps. The ground floor from the front door takes you up the stairs to the 2nd floor landing and bedrooms. All in all, i would highly recommend this comfortabe appartment as a base for the particular area which i highlighted. We are already thinking about booking again next year.

We enjoyed our stay Positive: The location is fantastic—just a 3-minute walk from Seahouses Beach. The bedding is very comfortable, and the place itself is cozy and cheerful. My 3-year-old was absolutely thrilled and happy. Host & Stay were extremely professional, and we are definitely planning to stay again! Negative: Nothing at all

Fantastic stay Positive: Excellent location for exploring the Northumberland Coast. The house had everything we needed for a family, really enjoyed our stay there. Negative: I have to mark the property down for the cleanliness of the bathroom. The whole house was spotless (although the furniture in the living room has seen better days) but the bathroom really does need a deep clean especially in the shower right from the shower head to the corners of the base. Something that could be easily tackled with bleach spray.

This house was good value for money and a fantastic location, 2 mins walk to the beach, easy to find and parking outside. Perfect for a couple and a dog despite no garden. Missing a couple of home comforts but otherwise a nice base for a weekend away. Had multiple reminders to pay a deposit however sent no link to do this, didn’t pay and heard nothing about it, so can only assume this wasn’t required!

Great location, property management poor Positive: Locations was excellent for seahouses and bamburgh, the balcony velux window in the lounge was lovely. The apartment was modern with well equipt kitchen, good parking. Negative: key collection was poor. The host required a deposit for breakages, we did not receive an email or message via booking app from them so had to ring to ask what the delay was and pay over the phone to gain access. Once paid they send you the code for the key safe. Not complaining about having the pay the waiver, but a phone call to check why we had not arrived or paid the waiver would have been useful? The property states toilet roll was provided, we were left 1 roll between 4 adults for a 3 day stay? The property advertised private bathroom, its actually a Jack n Jill bathroom which was a problem again for 4 adults sharing. We did have a fabulous weekend away but for the reasons above I would be reluctant to book with a host and stay property in the future. Sorry for the negative review but we rely on clear reviews for our bookings sohave no choice but to be honest.

Luxury home from home holiday let in a great location Positive: We loved the whole experience from start to finish, shame we weren't staying longer. The property was in a great location close to the resort of Seahouses with beautiful views of the sea and the Farne Islands! It was very well designed and appointed and spotlessly clean with nice little touches such as milk sachets in the fridge if needed for that first welcome drink. The beds were comfy, and it was so quiet, except for the wonderful sound of waves breaking on the beach. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxury home from home getaway! Negative: Nothing. We loved it.

After gaining entry to the property, we had a quick look around and my wife said "I could live here". The view from the upper floor was good (pity we could not see the castle). General cleanliness (below the average persons eye level) was good. The place is well equipped, just not enough instructions on how to use oven etc.Personal observations:- yes I saw all the things that other people have mentioned (was dis-appointed that these had been acknowledged but not actioned). The bed linen was crisp and white (note to cleaner, if you are going to use pillow cases with holes in them, put the hole to the back) First impressions!.Someone mentioned that the bathroom extractor didn't work (it was turned off outside the bathroom), but being above average height myself, I noticed that the extractor was in need of a clean (could potentially be a fire hazard). Also run a feather duster over the tops of the doorframes. The TV requires attention (may be just batteries in the remote), some of the options didn't work, think the TV also requires re-tuning, Also from a personal point of view, would have preferred a King sized bed, but that is just a down side of being above average in height myself.All the above and previous items requiring attention, would take minimal action, and would have raised my rating to excellent. We would go back.Observations:Leave the blue folder out where it can easily be foundTell people about the short cut to the beach (I found it on our last day).

Amazing! We’d recommend and would love to return. Positive: Beautiful property. The place was well equipped with lovely big bedrooms and a fantastic living/dining/kitchen area with the most amazing views. It’s an easy flat walk into town along the sea front. Negative: There’s nothing we didn’t like.

Beautiful apartment and location spoilt by issues that need addressing. Positive: Location was excellent, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen and the living area had a lovely wow factor. Negative: The stink from the bathroom was unacceptable especially as it has been raised on many previous occasions in feedback. The extraction fan doesn't work and the drainage system is not fit for purpose. Black mould is developing in the shower cubicle. Such a shame as the smell permeated both bedrooms. Thought the provision of only one toilet roll a little mean, freezer needs defrosting (I noticed has also been mentioned previously.)

Positive: Perfect location for a great 3 days away. Everything you need is on the doorstep. Facilities great to return back to after a full day walking and seeing the sites. View in a morning always made me smile. Negative: Strange smell occasionally in the bathroom

Excellent location, great facilities and all in all a fantastic stay. Positive: Location and layout of property Negative: There was a smell in the bathroom and there could have been more glasses in kitchen and although there were wine glasses there were no pint glasses. Only a minor detail but easily solved.

Located a very short walk from the beach. Lovely house. Positive: Really lovely house, the kitchen and living room on the top floor especially. Great view of the sea from the large windows - very restful. Quiet residential area. Well equipped with plenty of cupboards and drawers to store belongings. Just a two minute walk to a beautiful sandy, dog friendly beach. Free parking at the house, Friendly and very helpful support when we had to report a maintenance issue - the technician arrived and fixed it within two hours of calling. Negative: Just the bathroom being so small and its location between the two bedrooms and the slight smell of drains. This did not distract from the overall very positive comments.

Fantastic location, lovely view, lovely house! Positive: Lovely location. We ended each day on the beach a two minute walk away. Can see the sea from window. Perfect two double bedrooms. Carpark space . Negative: Bathroom was small and shower had mould in it. It needs a good scrub.

Massiv Schimmel in der Dusche, Bad so verkalkt, als wäre seit Jahren nicht geputzt worden, Haare im Waschbecken, total verkalkter Wasserkocher, Essensreste am Kochgeschirr - ab Buchung wird man bombardiert mit Nachrichten und Werbung, was man noch alles buchen kann - wenn man aber eine tatsächliche Frage hat, kommt keinerlei hilfreiche Antwort - nicht geeignet für Radfahrer - keine Abstellmöglichkeit für Fahrräder, Laden im Gebäude und auf dem Grundstück verboten (ohne vorherige Info und ohne Begründung)

Seahouses Positive: Good location. 20 minutes walk to the town, where there was a good selection of pubs and places to eat. Nicely laid out. Comfortable bed. Brilliant shower. Parking. Neptune's was a great fish n chips venue. The Old Buoy Inn served quality food. Negative: Bathroom too small. Was adequate for two but not four persons. Freezer could have been defrosted. Overall, the pros definitely outscore the cons.

Negative: Jack and Jill bathroom was awkward and a littleclose for comfort! No tea towel. Own access but could also be accessed through the garage by someone else which was a little disconcerting.

Comfortable, beautiful and relaxing stay Positive: Gorgeous little apartment in an excellent location for what we wanted. All the essential luxuries you would want for a comfortable stay. Beds were lovely and comfortable, shower had excellent power and heat and the towels were bath sheets (big) rather than small ones that just cover your bottom. Kitchen facilities were ideal, just missing a tin opener which I also forgot to bring. Could have done with a few more mugs and another tea towel and the plates etc checking upon cleaning as unfortunately the previous guests left a dirty chopping board, mug and bowl in the cupboard. Not an issue in relation to everything else. Couldn’t fault it. Got my steps in too from the 3 floors 😍

Great place in a small quiet housing estate. Very clean property all you need in the kitchen and good size powerful shower. Views of the sea from the top floor living space which is very light and airy perfect to relax in. Both bedrooms are a good size one been particularly big, the only small criticism is the beds would be better upgraded to kings as there’s plenty of room, and whilst all guests staying slept well we all thought the mattresses were getting near needing to be replaced. Overall a great place to stay very quiet position and about a 15 minute walk to the shops and pubs of seahouses

14 Castle View Seahouses Positive: Quiet location which was perfect for us. Off street parking which was v. Safe for our car. Easy and good access to all the coast has to offer. The management company was very slow to return my phone calls regarding access to the property and with regards to a very minor problem with the TV co-ax cable. There is not a lot of room in the shared bathroom, however as stated it is a large shower with good water pressure. All in all I can happily recommend the property. Negative: That it wasn't made clear that it is an annexe property situated above the garage to the right of the main house and the key location was to the left of the garage. There are two key locations either side of the front door that are for the main house only. Only by asking the neighbours did we find the right key location.

LOVED SEAHOUSES, BAMBURGH AND ALNWICK GARDENS. Positive: Convenient location to Seahouses & Bamburgh. Negative: The main bedroom mattress was very poor. The kitchen sink had NO bowl and the dual taps dripped constantly. The only sofa was very soft and uncomfortable. In general the property requires some love & attention to detail.

Peaceful quiet location with a short walk to the beautiful beach and a 15 minute leisurely walk into Seahouses. Beautiful decor and finish inside the house and spectacular views of the Farne Islands. Very comfortable beds with a great shower. We will definitely recommend and return.

We had a great time. Positive: Very light and airy. Clean.Fantastic location. Negative: The Jack and Jill bathroom wasn’t ideal. It was very small. Lots of spiders and cobwebs on the bedroom external doors. Teatowels hadn’t been washed and there for there was fluffy white bits everywhere. Didn’t spoil our stay.

Excellent accomodation in Seahouses. Positive: Excellent accomodation, well equipped. excellent communication. Easy to find. Negative: Would have liked to be closer to centre, harbour area, my fault for not checking location thoroughly, only a 20 minute walk though and worth it for standard of accommodation.

Pleasant stay in Seahouses Positive: Location on fairly new small housing estate, close to the beach and 1 mile ish from Seahouses pubs,resteraunts and shops. Annexe to main property which was unoccupied while we stayed. Negative: Little tired inside and bathroom and kitchen sufficiently clean but minor signs of cleanliness and wear and tear. Wouldn't put me off future stays but might be worth owner spending a little time with decorating and deep clean.

Comfortable apartment, but the bathroom was a Jack and jill design, and no separate toilet either Negative: Only real problem was bathroom dirty, both doors dirty and floor needed cleaning in corners and what looked like mould in shower around edges giving an overall grubby appearance

Beautiful location, handy for venturing out North, West and South. Positive: The views of the sea from the living room and one bedroom. Negative: The £25 insurance payment required before my booking was confirmed. This should be factored into the upfront costs. Very minor issues in the kitchen. Only 1 teatowel, no scissors, pot brush or cutlery drainer. Only 1 toilet roll, which 2 ladies of a certain age managed to make it last!

Negative: The arrival instructions were extremely poor. The key box was actually on the next door property (although there was a key box visible it was for the engineer). Trying to get help from the call centre was difficult as they had the same unhelpful instructions. We were there 2 hours before we worked out were the key box was.

Either £25 non refundable waiver or £250 refundable (so long as no damage occurs) but with £10 admin fee.

All considered, we had an excellent stay. Positive: Great view from living room. Warm and airy. Negative: Shared bathroom was not as good as separate en suite. A later check-out, say 11am, would have been easier.

A great place to stay. Positive: The beds were very comfortable, the shower was excellent, the lounge and kitchen areas are bright during the day, and well equipped. We enjoyed the log burner. The apartment as a whole is furbished to a high standard. Negative: We felt the lounge area was lacking the option of a bright light for reading, and over the kitchen worktop after dark.

Positive: This was in the perfect location, nice walk to the front, shops, restaurants etc and the house was clean and tidy with plenty of room and great views.

Fitted to a good standard Negative: Not suitable for Disabled people or Elderly people as staircases are too steep, showers fungus around shower tray , the door frames to the Juliette balcony where full of dirt , Tv reception not very good No instructions on how to use oven , could do with a welcome book rather than having to look on web for details no detail of places to eat although web site said it provided details. Web page needs to be specific for that property and not just a general view

Excellent position, beautiful views, pleasant accommodation. Shame about the bathroom facilities. Positive: Spacious bedrooms and living area. Gorgeous views. Negative: The shower room was very small and there was an unfortunate smell emanating from the shower. This smell permeated the bedrooms and hallway and was most off-putting. Also, two rolls of toilet paper for three people is not enough for five days.
