It was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. The location was beautiful and very peaceful. The lodge was 5 star luxury. There was nothing that could have been better. It was a great/ convenient location for exploring nearby towns which we also greatly enjoyed. Thank you for being great hosts. We hope to be able to come again ;-)

Luxury on the Loch. Not to miss

Beautiful eco friendly cabin in a remote location but only 10 mins from Kelso. Cabin is completely off grid with main power supply via solar panels and a backup generator. The cabin has been beautifully designed and built with and the comforts you can need. The location is peaceful with fantastic views across the loch to enjoy the plentiful wildlife. The owners were on hand to help and were very friendly. Overall a beautiful and peaceful visit to the glorious borders!

I cannot recommend the Cabin on the Loch enough. The pictures do not do the cabin justice. It was in the most beautiful and private setting and the cabin itself was breathtaking. The log fire was in full swing for our arrival with milk and coffee ready and nice touches like hot water bottles on the beds. The decor was stunning and the finish was very high end. The owners were super friendly and are just up the road if needed and happy to help with anything. If you want a nice, romantic and peaceful weekend away I would definitely recommend the Cabin. We are already planning to return to enjoy it in the summer months.

The pictures don’t do the lodge justice. We had a fabulous stay at the cabin on the loch. It was beautifully peaceful. Hot tub under the stars ✨ was a big hit. The cabin had everything we needed and beautifully decorated to such a luxury standard with all the little touches. Fantastic hosts keeping us stocked up with logs for the fire and hot tub! The kids had an excellent time and we all had a wonderful family break from the bustle of reality! Core memory made ♥️

Our stay at Cabin on the loch was absolutely idyllic. The cabin was just as private as advertised. It was amazing arriving in the dark to the hot tub already set up and then in the morning waking up to such a pristine panorama through the massive windows. While most wood fired hot tubs can be a challenge at times. This was by far the best most consistent wood fired hot tub we have ever had. That combined with the overly generous offering of logs meant you could stay out as long as you wanted. We had an amazing time and we will definitely be back next year! Thanks for a great weekend!

We are just back from a wonderful two nights stay at the cabin. It is absolutely stunning, everything has been done to a really high standard, it was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable and in a perfect peaceful setting. Jim popped in to see us just after we arrived, he was super helpful and friendly and we had a nice chat with him. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again, it really is a perfect wee cabin for a peaceful few days away. Thank you😊

The most idyllic, peaceful location, combined with a beautifully presented cabin which is luxurious, homely and squeaky clean! The views are stunning, with nature and wildlife in touching distance. With all the amenities you could need, super comfortable beds and bundles of charm. The wood-fired hot tub is just the cherry on top of the cake The perfect escape for some peace and quiet

The Cabin on the Loch was the most surreal getaway that myself and my family have had the chance to stay at over the bank holiday weekend. The hot tub was warming up when we arrived and we were greeted by the hosts who were absolutely lovely and very friendly. There were absolutely no faults at all with the cabin and were surprised to see that there were a swan and a cygnet on the loch which made every waking minute even more unbelievable. There were a few spiders spotted around but it’s definitely expected! The hosts provided wood + fire lighters and a lighter for the hot tub and the indoor fire pit. They had also provided a box inside with loads of little bits that you could buy including eggs and jams! We will definitely be coming back and staying again as it’s a one of a kind place! Thankyou very much!

We had a wonderful five-night stay at this cabin by the loch. The setting was beautifully peaceful and made for a truly relaxing getaway. As a group with limited mobility, we appreciated how manageable everything was, no long walks required to enjoy the views, and the cabin itself was comfortable and well laid out for easy movement. Kelso itself was a lovely base, and the location made it easy to explore nearby without overdoing it. We celebrated a birthday during our stay and the whole trip felt calm and unhurried in the best way. Communication with the host was smooth, and the cabin was very cozy on arrival with the hot tub pre lit. We'd happily stay again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic escape.

Absolutely fantastic place and stay! With out a doubt the best place we have stayed at incredible standards and detail within the place was amazing was like an 5 star hotel and so clean! Loved it would stay again and highly recommend

Nightmare. One of our party of four had a medical emergency (dislocated and shattered ankle with ambulance trip involving two hospitals) the day before our check in. Nearly impossible to get an actual phone number which turned out to be somewhere in USA. Air bnb told us to contact the host. The host texted us we needed to contact air bnb. We paid £984 for 3 nights we couldn't use. Had hoped at least for a partial good will refund. We cancelled as soon as we knew we couldn't stay at our much anticipated cabin by the loch. We have had to find emergency accommodation in Glasgow while awaiting surgery for our friend. We will never use this company again. We will never recommend this company.

Stunning location, beautifully decorated.

My wife and I went for our first wedding anniversary and were blown away by the place. It was beautiful, remote, peaceful and had all the amenities we required. Sitting at night in the hot tub was so relaxing and the views during the day were so impressive. What an amazing place to stay

Beautiful cabin and scenery, very private

This is hands down the best accommodation we have stayed at. The cabin is immaculate and decorated beautifully with lots of amazing touches to make your stay perfect. The location is perfect if you want to switch off away from everything but you still have great WiFi and a TV. There is also really nice walks nearby to get out for some fresh air. The outside space is breathtaking. Sitting by the water watching all the animals was amazing as well as stargazing in the hot tub. I genuinely cannot recommend this place enough, we had the BEST stay.

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous and finished to a high spec. We enjoyed use of the hot tub on an evening and also sitting in front of the log burner. There was complete privacy.

Stunning surroundings, great to get away for a few days to complete relax and do nothing! The lodge was in perfect condition also. No complaints at all 🥂

This property is a fantastic place to disconnect. The extremely private, tranquil setting on the loch which is frequented by a diverse range of birds and ducks, coupled with the warm and natural material centred interior, make this a must experience destination. On a clear night the star gazing potential, from the hot tub is a real treat. The owners are super responsive and insightful too.

Had a perfect 2 night stay here, beautiful location, lovely cabin with everything we needed and extra touches including hot water bottle and hot tub heated for us really made the experience. Yvonne and Jim helpful and friendly throughout.

This place is absolutely amazing surrounded by lovely countryside. Peaceful and private. The interior is stunning and has everything you need for the perfect stay. The outside space is fab with the wood fired tub being a great place to sit and watch the stars at night. The hosts were lovely and friendly and there if needed. The wee honesty box is a great idea selling local products. We had a brilliant time at Cabin on the Loch and would highly recommend booking a stay here

Amazing log cabin, true to photos. Owners were very helpful, lit the wood burner and hot tub for our arrival, were on hand when hot water wasn't working. The only point that ruined it for us was the muck spreading in the field adjacent to the property. It made use of the hot tub unpleasent and it stank in the cabin.

A perfect getaway! The cabin and its surroundings are stunning and the hosts were absolutely lovely and extremely attentive.

From the moment we arrived, we felt at home, thanks to the warm and thoughtful touches. Upon arrival, the cabin was cozy and inviting, with a log burner already crackling. We were delighted to find fresh milk in the fridge and a lovely coffee machine. The cabin itself is a real gem. Everything was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. We appreciated the bathrobes and slippers. The hot tub was the perfect way to unwind. And the stars... we’ve never seen a sky so clear —it truly was magical! The bed was unbelievably comfortable, ensuring we got a great night’s sleep. What really made our stay stand out were the hosts, Jim and Yvonne. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were friendly, welcoming, and always available to offer help. We felt truly cared for and looked after. Overall, this Cabin on the Loch provided us with an unforgettable Scottish getaway. Cannot wait to stay again. A&R x
