The cottage was lovely, the views from the front were beautiful. We took the kids down to the beach which was less than 5 minutes walk. There were plenty of bars to walk to along the beautiful prominade, and a few cafes and restaurants to eat in. The house was clean and well looked after, and the kitchen was stocked really well. There were all the utensils we needed to cook for a family of 6. A small welcome pack was really appreciated so we could have a hot cuppa on our arrival. We spent new year in the cottage and it was peaceful and cosy. The beds were comfy and the bathroom is absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed our few days away. Host and stay were really responsive to messages and proactive in their information.

We had a lovely 3 nights away here before the kids went back to school. Waking up and looking out to sea every morning was just lovely. The house was clean and welcoming and felt like a home from home.

Lovely stay while visiting family — the house had everything we needed and the location was perfect for dog walks.

the overall property was well laid out and wanted for nothing certainly kitchen wise. would have benefited from an extra toilet either up the stairs or down the stairs. There was one outside in the back yard but none of us ventured out to use that one. The surrounding area was great for the dogs. Miles of golden sands. a few don't allow dogs but these tend to be in the towns, so watch out for those. Overall a great stay.

With years of global business and Holiday travel to draw from, I can confirm that this house is the 1st AirBnb that has EVER presented the feeling of being home from home.\n\nProbably because it IS a home!\n\nEven as a seasoned traveller. The house exceeded all our expectations.\nHow?\nJust by being very comfortable and easy to use. \nAll facilities and equipment on hand. Lovely individual rooms. Large bathroom? \nSomething that is hard to define here. \n\nBut I can assure you that my wife and I enjoyed being there so much that we extended our week over Christmas for another 2 days.\n\nThank you for a lovely Christmas break at Newbiggin by the sea.\nWe'll see you again.\n\nDon and Jan.

A fab weeks stay at By the Sea in Newbiggen. House is decorated beautifully and felt cosy. Really comfy beds and gorgeous sea views - will miss that! Neighbours are really friendly. Just a few minutes walk to the high street, promenade or a scenic coastal walk along the golf course straight outside the front door! The rest of Northumberland on your doorstep. Great bus service round the corner aswell if you don’t have a car. Would happily return.

Above average Positive: Close to golf club and bars Negative: Not being able to charge the car. Edit!!! Since coming back home I have been charged sixty eight pounds for having the car plugged in for a mere two hours!!! I have argued this, as that would have covered electricity for a whole week They say that is what they were charged, but id like to know how they split the bill from the amenities as it was plugged into normal plug socket. To say I am angry at the charge and the fact it was taken retrospectively without my consent from my booking card is an understatement. Sixty odd pounds would have charged a car several times over. I also feel that Host and Stay did little to help me trying to resolve the matter. Stay here at your own risk as you never know what they may charge you for after you have left! And there's nothing you can do about it. I feel robbed.

Great place to stay. Like a TARDIS inside and beautifully decorated and equipped. Quiet town, fab beach walks and the local horses were brilliant fun.

Well equipped, comfortable and located holiday let. Positive: The property is in an excellent location over looking the sea, and has a real quality feel to it. Lovely decoration (some wear and tear visible; but to be expected). Is well kitted out and has everything you need whilst you are there. The bed was really comfortable and the shower nice and hot. Negative: The house is showing signs of some wear and tear and would benefit from a fresh lick of paint. But overall it wouldn’t put me off from staying again. The cooler could also do with a deep clean, apart from that you can really tell some thought and love went into making this a really fantastic holiday home.

A great place to explore Northumberland from. Superb beach in walking distance, excellent for finding sea glass, exploring rock pools and building sandcastles. Would really recommend it to anyone wanting to see the area

The location is amazing, the beach nearby was a highlight for sure. We were lucky enough for it to be sunny every day we were there. The locals were so friendly too. You can tell a lot of love was poured into this house and our stay was very comfortable. Me and my friends had an amazing time.

Positive: Bed was very comfortable good shower. Negative: Lights in kitchen/dining area didn’t work no iron messaged them they said they would look into it for us didn’t hear back the rest of are stay.

Positive: Lovely home view and neighbours

We had a fabulous weekend staying here with our daughter and her family. The house was very well equipped, comfortable and close to beaches where we could walk the dog and explore rock pools. The games that were there were much appreciated. We visited Craster and walked to Dunstanburgh Castle, explored Cragside Estate and wished we could have stayed longer. Bertorellis on Newbeggin sea front is a must for delicious ice cream.

Very spacious and comfortable. Clean. Well equipped. All rooms are a good size. Everything in the village within easy walking distance.

This is a great property, with beautiful views and easy access to the beach. It’s well equipped and is spacious and comfortable. Great value and a perfect base for exploring beautiful Northumberland. We had a fantastic stay.

Beautiful house, was extremely impressed with the house and the amenities. Loved the house. Was worried about the location, as it feels like a council estate. but we did not have any incidents and had a very god stay. we would choose to stay here again.

Perfect house in a beautiful location Positive: The house was lovely, bright, comfortable with everything you may need in a wonderful location overlooking the sea. Newbiggin is just a couple of minutes walk away offering a supermarket, lovely cafes and good places to eat.

Enjoyed our stay at ‘By-the-Sea Positive: Nice decor, spacious and clean, good views over moor to the sea. Good location for two beaches, shops, cafes and pubs Negative: Not much private outside space. Steep steps without handrails down to bin. Backyard unattractive

we loved our stay! it was a short walk to the beach and a reasonable drive to lots of different places we planned to visit. would definitely recommend it.
