Nice apartment but let down by bad cleanliness Positive: Decent apartment and good location. Negative: When we arrived the apartment had not been cleaned properly, it was absolutely covered in dog hair and a pungent dog smell. I understand it is pet friendly but don’t think that excuses the need to clean properly and air it out between stays. This was very off putting. The apartment says it has a tv with a firestick for entertainment but none was present only a firestick remote. The apartment is listed as having two beds, it has one bed and a sofa, this was acceptable for us however no additional linen was supplied, they did bring some more the next day on request. The bedroom window would not open so we were not able to get rid of the smell in the bedroom while we were there. The apartment overall is quite nice but was very let down with the cleanliness of the place with dust caked on many surfaces and under the bed, other bits of litter from previous guests could also be found. There was also no bin liners provided in the bin.

We have stayed a number of times in Brighton and Hove, this was our most relaxing trip. We were so close to the seafront where we regularly walked our dogs, had time to sit in cafes and enjoy time to decompress from our busy lives. We felt so relaxed in the property it had the home from home feeling we all search for. We will definately check availability here or in another of hosts properties when we visit our daughter again in Hove.

Positive: We absolutely loved how stay,and the location was perfect the house had so much style and the whole place was beautiful and comfortable. Negative: While we loved the house itself, the cleanliness was a major letdown. When we arrived, the vacuum cleaner had just been tossed in the corner, and we found the oven and kitchen mugs covered in grime and tea stains. My partner actually had to spend the first part of our trip scrubbing the oven and bleaching the cups just so we could use them. On top of that, the heating wasn't great, there was no microwave, and the TV lacks terrestrial channels, which was pretty disappointing. All these things are basic in most appartments, B&B's and holiday homes, which could be fixed quickly.

AVOID!!!! Dale is not an individual, you are renting this place from a business so if anything goes wrong you have to communicate with an agency so never speak to the same person twice. The boiler was broken which we didn't realise until ~6pm when the heating wouldn't come on and the flat was freezing (mid-Feb). After reaching out to "Dale" it took them almost an hour to get in touch with a repairman via Zoom who said somebody would have to come out. After another 3 hours of back and forth between the agency (who took ages to respond) and AirBnB customer support, we finally got our stay cancelled and fully refunded. The agency offered us alternatives but these were all far outside of town and would require 30mins travel to get in the next day; once we declined these the agency stopped communicating altogether. Also, all of the services were logged out of the TV so we had to sit in the cold flat for ~4 hours with a 5 year old who was up way past there bedtime with nothing to do.

Perfect location. Lovely property ideal for any occasion Positive: Location waa perfect for sea front and all amenities. Very easy collecting keys. Checking in and out. Property was clean. Loved the style of property..plenty of room in property. Very comfortable and generally a lovely place to stay for a weekend. Negative: If I had to find a negative, which is difficult. It would be handy of the property had an oven glove as there waa non and we struggled to get things out of the oven. But this is in no way a deal breaker.

Despite comments above, we had a nice stay. The location is excellent. Positive: Easy from a shop minutes form the property Negative: The property is a gorgeous period apartment with a lovely kitchen. However, the crockery, glassware and cutlery were poor. Mismatched plates some with chips, mismatched crockery in general, and not even two wine glasses, the cutlery provided was poor - eg there was only two teaspoons. There were no oven gloves or dishcloth so we had to buy oneto enable us to wash up and wipe down the worktops after cooking.

If the company who manage this propery invested a little bit of income on cleaning and redecorating, this wouod be a fab Positive: Brilliant location. Good kitchen appliances and shower. Was once a beautiful space-beware, it photographs very well but disappoints in real life. Negative: It was very dirty and needs a deep clean The TV still does not work-no despite a pervious review making the same complaint. I had to call 4 times to get the code for key collection When we complained about this (tv and dirt) we were told it would take 7-10 days to resolve, which was after we left. 🙄 To be fair we did receive a small refund (cleaning fee) but would gave preferred the tv to be sorted out whilst we were there.

We were very disappointed especially about the television. Positive: Location of the property is perfect. The picture of the flat is not the true one and very deciaving because the real size of the room is very small. Negative: The television was not working. Sofabed is very bad to sleep on. If fact if was not possible to sleep on it. The fridge is too small. The shower is great but it splashes the water everywhere because the shower screen is not wide enogh.

The apartment has alot of character and nice decor with many mirrors and artwork. Its also very spacious for a 1 bedroom. The sofabed could not be used as it was in a bad state but I have addressed that with the Agent so should be resolved.its close to the beach and high street which is a plus

Beautiful place in a great location

Great property. We loved our stay!

I wanted to let you know that the flat I rented had several issues. The heating did not work properly, which made the place very uncomfortable, especially at night. Also, there was no microwave provided, which was unexpected. Overall, I was not satisfied with the condition of the flat. I hope these issues can be addressed for future tenants

Dale's place is very bright and beautiful, the location is perfect for is, walkable to very clean beautiful park and the beach. The house is very clean, and Dale is very responsive host. I do really recomend his place we had very nice stay Christina

Had to wait over 30 mins at a convenience store as I hadn’t been provided with a code to obtain the key. The place hadn’t been cleaned, washing up in sink, unmade bed, bins full. I had to wait in until cleaners arrived at 6:30 to 7:30 pm making me late for a dinner date. The place was freezing cold at around 12 degrees as the heating didn’t work. No hot water. No natural daylight as the windows have solid wooden shutters over them that are in such a state of disrepair it’s clear that they would fall off if opened. The main light has a dimmer switch but doesn’t have dimmable bulbs so the light flickers like a strobe light. TV was very difficult to work out with limited smart functionality. Shabby decorating to walls and ceilings. I have raised these issues following the hosts complaints procedure but heard nothing after 3 weeks. If any of this is disputed I will upload images of everything. The worst Airbnb experience I’ve ever had.

Second time staying at this lovely flat! Convenient location, close to restaurants, pubs and grocery stores! Will definitely stay again when in Brighton.

Great location, easy walk to beach/restaurants. Lots of buses.
