Lovely little cottage in a beautiful market town in Northumberland. Comfy & cosy especially with the bed & power shower. I took two dogs which was fine but a touch restrictive for the dogs as no garden but otherwise highly recommend.

Fabulous location for exploring with coast only 30 minutes drive, along with fabulous walks on door step. Walk along river was ideal for morning and evening walk with the dog. Village has plenty of options for dining although we struggled to find a decent coffee. Cottage was just what we needed and perfect size for 2 and the dog. Very clean and tidy the shower was fantastic very powerful. Locals very friendly when out and about in pubs cafes and are all dog friendly. Would recommend Little Italy for take out and Bewicks for breakfast and dinner. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

If you have the opportunity to visit Rothbury, Brakenrigg cottage is the best place to stay. The location is perfect, is on High street, close to restaurants and pubs, at the end of the strip so is quiet. The cottage was spotless, you can relax immediately. I highly recommend the hikes around the area, we just walked out the door and turned right, asked the locals where the alpacas are and you can actually feed them in the field.

We absolutely loved our stay at Brackenrigg Cottage. It was a lovely, immaculately clean cottage in a perfect location for exploring the sights and attractions that Northumberland is so famous for. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it to others. The only unusual thing we hadn’t been made aware of beforehand was that there was no cutlery provided, which was quite surprising given that plates, mugs and cooking facilities were available. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed our time here!

The cottage in Rothbury was a lovely place to stay. Very cozy from the get go. Check in was very smooth and easy. The host was very attentive and responsive when reached out on the app. This hosts also offers a very modern feature of the house manual which comes with features of the cottage, helpful tips on how to use the amenities including heating and water and everything you need during the stay.The cottage is well maintained and on our arrival spotless. Without a doubt we can highly recommend this lovely cottage and its host as well as visit this beautiful and peaceful village of Rothbury.

We had a great stay in Rothbury which is a lovely place to stay with good amenities and easy to travel to Northumberlands beautiful beaches and historical buildings. The bed is extremely comfortable which is what you want on holiday. Parking was easy right outside the cottage. Hot water and heating instantly available. Comfortable lounge area with good cooling facilities. Our only criticism is that the cottage is looking a bit tired in a few places that could be easily improved with a little attention.

Rothbury well worth a visit Positive: Great location in the town, places to eat and drink and cafes Negative: Settee was rather low to sit on and a printed copy of cottage’s operating instructions would be better than digital! Keycode box well hidden!!

Lovely B&B in a beautiful and peaceful part of Rothbury, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well maintained, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The location was excellent for exploring Rothbury and the surrounding Northumberland countryside. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and I would happily recommend it.

A quirky cottage, felt at home. The bed was really comfy, had a super sleep. It was a great location and the views were great.

Sehr gut gelegenes Airbnb in der Kleinstadt Rothbury, ideal um die Küste und den Nationalpark Northumberland zu erkunden! Da wir mit einem Mietwagen unterwegs waren, kam uns der Parkplatz direkt vor der Unterkunft sehr gelegen. Alles in allem eine sehr schöne Unterkunft und weiterzuempfehlen!

Perfect place to stay central for restaurants and bars and the perfect location to explore and perfect for myself my husband and our little dog. Highly recommend The Narrow Nick for drinks the locals are very friendly there is live music on a Tuesday and they are very dog friendly. Cragside house is well worth a visit. Would definitely recommend this cottage if you are in the area. The place was very clean and cozy and we always got parked just outside.

We had a lovely long weekend at the cottage, it's cosy and has everything you need. The location is great, in easy reach of local shops and walking routes. It's also an easy drive to places like Alnwick and the coast.

Perfect little spot to stay in a pretty location with good amenities Positive: It was well presented and lovely and cool inside which was appreciated on days when it was 28 degrees outside. Location was also great and plenty of local amenities. Negative: I think the property is too small for this but having a small table and chairs to eat at would have been great. Perhaps a folding table and chairs might be possible.

Lovely comfortable cottage. Very clean and well equipped, it could do with a serrated bread knife. The bed was lovely and cosy.The shops were just a stroll down the road, as was the Italian Restaurant La Mensa. Our only problem was the key safe is through the gate rather than on it. It wasn't clear at all from the description. Luckily for us, the owner's father came just at the right time. We had just started to speak to Vrbo when he came.

Great location but property just needs a bit more of a clean Positive: Location was lovely. Rothbury is lovely village with plenty of places to eat and drink considering its size. Plenty of places to go for walks and about equal distance to either Newcastle or Berwick Negative: The bed wasn't very comfortable just 2 single mattresses put together. There were a few cobwebs on the beams in the bedroom. The holder for the shower head was loose and this meant that the shower head didnt stay in place and had to be held. There was mould around the bottom of the shower tray. In the kitchen one of the frying pans was dirty and looked like the remains of burnt food on it. Also the oven gloves were filthy and either need to be cleaned or replaced.

Brackenrigg Stay Positive: Fantastic location and the cottage had everything required for a comfortable/relaxing stay. Rothbury village also had some great shops, which was really helpful.

Stunning Cottage in Idylillic Location Positive: Well equipped open-plan cottage in a lovely Northumberland village, central to popular tourist locations. Footpath down to the stream was close by which was great for the dogs. Property well equipped for cooking with complementary tea / coffee / milk / soap - enough for 1 night only. Negative: ‘Extremely dog friendly’ but asked that they aren’t allowed on soft furnishings. One blanket provided. Property has a concrete ginnel but not garden. Frequency of communication from hosts was too much - but no personalisation such as notifying us of roadworks outside the property where parking would have been.

Lovely spot in a nice small village. Good location in the Northumberland countryside. 5 min drive to Cragside (walkable also) and only 20 minutes to Alnwick. Only 40 minute bamburgh which is well worth the drive for the views on route. No issues during our stay clear instructions for check in and the house was very clean

Lovely little cottage in a great location. Had some issues with boiler but was fixed straight away. The bed seemed like two smaller mattresses put together to make a double but was comfy despite a slight dip in the middle. All in all had a nice stay!

Lovely experience and highly recommended. Positive: Really easy to get in! Some additional instructions about the location / what gate has the lock box behind it would be really helpful! Negative: There was a very small amount of essentials like coffee which was minor. The only other thing would be the volume of messages from reserving to staying. There was alot!

Positive: Well kept and very clean. Negative: Very cold living room as only 1 of the 2 radiators was working. No cutlery meant we couldn’t eat the food we took with us.

We had a lovely stay at Brackenrigg Cottage. The cottage was easy to find and we always managed to park right outside the door. It was a short walking distance from restaurants and shops in Rothbury and only a short drive to some amazing walks and the beach. Would definitely recommend!

Positive: Great location. Lovely kitchen nwns and bedroom. Negative: Heating hadn't been on for days and place was freezing when we arrived which isn't great. Only one radiator on downstairs (there were two but one off) so took 24 hrs to warm up and still wasn't warm enough as size of radiator was too small. Lovely kitchen but only a coffee tablle to eat on so not ideal.

Positive: The location is fab. Centrally located and easy parking outside of the property. Clean and well appointed. Negative: The safe box location, especially arriving in the dark Although a well-appointed kitchen. It's really not worth it when there is really no where to sit and enjoy a cooked meal. Sufficient for a slice of toast, sandwich etc. The constant emails and text messages from Host and stay regarding accidentally insurance, private chef etc.. This did make us feel less relaxed as terrified to touch anything.

Comfortable cottage in an excellent location. Positive: The location is excellent, being within Rothbury (with access to shops and restaurants) yet also within striking distance of the beautiful Northumberland scenery. It is also close to Cragside. We slept soundly in the comfortable bed and quiet setting. Negative: Nothing really.

This is a great base location in Northumberland to explore local areas like Alnwick (18mins) and Bamburgh (35mins). The place was lovely and clean. The host provided a guide book of recommendations and lots of helpful info. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Enjoyed our week here: excellent location in lovely Rothbury; thoughtfully modernised cottage. Excellent bedroom, shower room; cosy sofa for TV viewing. Very good communication with / from the hosts. There’s not space for a dining table / chairs but if you like TV dinners that won’t be a problem.

Super well thought flat. Check in was clear and easy, the flat was well equipped and clean. We loved the location (shops, free parking, pretty village). 10/10 would use again

It took us a long time to find the property as the location on the map was incorrect. We had to phone Host and Stay for assistance. In total this took an hour before we were finally in. The lady on the phone was extremely helpful and friendly though. There was an overwhelming smell of damp inside the property both upstairs and downstairs. The cottage is very old and adjoining another part which is empty and run down. We went to have a shower after finally getting inside the property and found that there was no hot water. Eventually we discovered that the boiler was turned off. Once the boiler was working , it took another half an hour to figure out that the hot water was actually coming out of the cold tap and vice versa!! On a plus point , the bed linen was spotlessly clean. The mattress was somewhat hard for us. Bathroom was clean. One toilet roll provided. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. Very modern. Sofa was clean and comfortable. Sadly we would not stay here again.
