Fantastic Positive: Lovely cottage homely Negative: Just shower hose needs replacing head end twisted restricts flow. Recommend replaced with metal type
Positive: We loved to stay in Boulby house. Spacious , cle a and we loved the old decors gives lovely feel. Beds were clean and comfortable. There is everything for great stay . The pub next door isn't a problem at all no distribution. The food was excellent and very friendly staff. Location perfect. We definitely would stay it again Negative: Anything
I don’t realy have much to say it’s very dated needs a full refurbishment, has an awful smell throughout the property, and found a urine pan and sweet wrappers underneath one of the beds, Whitby itself is beautiful
A really nice house in a great location. We were able to enjoy all of Whitby but retreat to this lovely village and home 10mins away every evening.
Positive: Location was excellent for accessing whitby. Very spacious property and clean with lots of utensils and everything you need for a self catering stay. Negative: Location excellent for Whitby as stated but not good in relation to a pub right next door which I didn't realise when booking. Due to the good weather, the beer garden had people who gradually got louder and louder as the night went on til after MIDNIGHT! We had to shut the windows even though it was a warm evening to try and block the noise. Really don't understand why the pub owners didn't ask their guests to be more respectful. Also when we arrived some of the windows had been left open(presumably by the cleaning crew) but it had been raining heavily and the carpet was wet at the top of the stairs which left a fusty smell. Would have been a 9/10 if not for these things.
Negative: everything is good, but the furniture in the second-floor master bedroom was recently painted and has a strong odor. Even keeping the windows open doesn't seem to help.
We stayed for two nights over the bank holiday weekend to Visit Whitby Bay, it was only a 10 minute drive to the harbour so perfect for our stay. The pub next door was great for a Sunday dinner.
