My family and I stayed here for 2 nights and we were delighted with the accommodation. I have been here a few times and Positive: Very spacious and comfortable. Negative: A little to far away from the centre of York, but close enough drive to Pocklington centre.

We would have loved to give this accommodation a 5-star review, especially as it is situated on a 5-star site. The location is absolutely lovely, and the accommodation itself has so much potential. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the standard of cleanliness. The cleaning was simply not to the standard we would expect from a 5-star site, which was a real shame and took away from what could otherwise have been a fantastic stay. A beautiful location and lovely accommodation, but unfortunately let down by the cleaning standards.

Positive: The site was very peaceful, the restaurant was very jice and reasonably priced. Negative: The cabin was in a lovely setting, but unfortunately it felt quite dated and in need of some improvements. On arrival, the property needed a thorough clean, with marks, dirt and dust noticeable throughout. The shower in the main bathroom was also in the bath when we arrived, although this was fixed promptly, which we appreciated. We booked the cabin for six people, but the dining table only comfortably seats four, and the outdoor seating was also really only suitable for four. The crockery and glasses were very hit and miss, with a random selection of different glasses. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but for a property advertised to accommodate eight people, the facilities and cleanliness could be improved. With some updating and better attention to detail, the cabin could be much better.

Lovely Lodge in beautiful surroundings. Staff were very helpful on arrival and again when we struggled to get the oven to work. Everything was fairly clean, only a couple of marks on the carpets where some damage has previously been done which obviously couldn't be helped and didn't affect our stay. Hot tub was fab and everything was comfortable. Would love to stay again.

Positive: We loved it and will definitely come back again. Comfortable, spacious and homely and great location Negative: I wouldn't say didnt like but there were a few things that were noticed. Spillage on floor and top that wasnt cleaned properly, not all the jets worked in the hot tub, no frying pan and knives could do with a sharpen. Also the leg on the cat ornament was broken and we dont want to get the blame. Constructive feedback thats all.

A little run down Positive: Location for visiting York was great. Lovely countryside. Negative: Lots of damaged items in property that I had to report to the host and stay staff. And it could have been cleaner.

Expensive older lodge Positive: We booked very last minute as the owner of another lodge cancelled our booking. Bluebell lodge had everything we needed and was in a quiet, sunny spot on the site. It is a spacious lodge. Negative: The property is very dated and tired looking - particularly the carpets and floors. It also smells damp and musty. Half the jets weren't working in the hot tub. The on-site restaurant was closed on the Saturday night for a private function and the pizza shack wasn't open at any time during our 3 night stay. This property was a lot more expensive than the one we originally booked.

We had a wonderful stay Friday evening to Sunday morning. Clean property all in working order. Beds and pillows comfy. There were signs of wear and tear inc a burn on the carpet which I highlighted to the host as soon as we arrived to ensure we didn’t get any damage charges. There was an ant problem in the property. We reported it and they did all they could to resolve the issue during our stay, we ensured all food was away and stored to not attract more. This is something for the host to look into resolving longer term, it didn’t affect our stay. Hot tub was in full working order and clean with the temp ready for immediate use. Thank you for a great experience.

Lovely staff, lodge was beautiful Positive: Great location, gorgeous property, comfortable Negative: There were a few marks on curtains, walls etc. there was damage to the floor on the way into the bathroom. Half of the jets in the hot tub were not working. There was some rubbish under the bed. Stain on the sofa, burn on the carpet. I am only able to attach 4 photos but have more if needed

Positive: Clean,comfortable property. Got everything you need in daily life. Negative: Lack of privacy

My friends and I had a lovely stay. Location was ideal for us as we needed to travel to York and the accommodation is 35 minutes away by car. Team at Host & Stay were very helpful and responsive to any questions I had.
