Poor parking instructions. The original booking just said free parking. Got to the property, signs everywhere saying you need permit to park. Phoned host and stay. Their customer service was poor. They said there was a permit in the flat to put in vehicle. There wasn't one there. They also said there was only a permit for one vehicle, but wasn't told this on the original booking. They told me to pay for a car park and they would refund. But the car park was a fair walk away! Not something you want to be doing before work on a morning. The flat itself was fine, apart from mouldy smell in bathroom. Not sure I would use Host and Stay again.

Apartment is in great location, everything is nearby and walkable. Host is also pretty responsive and friendly. But primary concern was on premise parking, which was not available like mentioned in the description, so we had to find our own parking. I would not have booked it in the first place if there was no parking available as it is a waste of time if you are travelling with a toddler. I would not recommend for a family with kids to stay here as there is no parking available in the apartment. Also parking refund was promised which has not been processed yet and there is no proactiveness in doing so from their side, as I have to approach them again and again. Last thing is about cleanliness which is ok but not very clean as I can see my toddler's feet getting black just by running around the apartment. Hope this feedback helps in improving the concerns I have, since the apartment is in a great location I would like this to be addressed for next guests coming here.

Horrible and will never come back to this place. Positive: The location was alright Negative: The place is dingy with old carpets that seems to be filled with dust, I was travelling with my toddler who got dust allergy and we had to leave early because the place was very dirty.

This flat was really handy to the shops bathroom was dirty i couldn't use the iron cos it had a eu plug the clothes hours was broken the toilet never flushed

The room and furnishing are nice. The location is excellent, with a supermarket within walking distance and it is not very far from the city centre. However, on our visit, the promised parking license was absent, so we had to walk about 20 minutes to the nearest free parking space. We had called Host & Stay about this. The person on the telephone was very helpful, but since this is a large company, he did not personally know the property, so he had to contact the housekeeper first to find out there was no license anymore. This took quite a while and made our arrival more stressful than we had hoped. If the parking license is fixed, or you do not require a parking space, we reccomend this appartment.

We did not have a good stay, and the place was not as listed. We booked this place as it was advertised with a parking space, and in order to use the kitchen to cook food due to a dietary requirement. Neither was possible. All the parking spaces required a permit (which was not provided). We contacted the “host” (call handler) and they were unable to give us any information or help, keeping us waiting for 2 hours before we gave up and had to pay for parking elsewhere. They never got back to us and we ended up paying for alternative parking our entire trip. Once we got in, the interior of the flat was dirty, including built up grime in bathroom and kitchen, and a mouldy shower curtain, pillow, and washing machine draw. We had to clean up both these areas ourselves. The oven was so slow to heat up, we genuinely had to give up and order food instead. Upon arrival we saw other reviews who had the same parking issues, from at least a year ago, but the listing has not been updated.

Positive: Spacious clean Negative: Not enough milk sachets

Place was good overall, good bedroom and decent kitchen. There was quite a lot of clutter in the kitchen with a lot of cups and plates, most of which were not particularly clean. The bathroom was generally clean but the shower drain was blocked and would fill the bathtub up with water quickly, leaving the it full of hair when the water drained away. There was a noticeable smell but nothing too bad.

Positive: The place was good and welcared for the interior was nice and lovely Negative: The fact that the embassy delayed to grant us the visa and instead of us coming on the 25th as planned we ended up coming on the 28th. The ugly moment came in when I requested to vacate the property at 2 pm. instead of the 10am since that was my pick up to the airport. I was not treated well in response, and I felt cheated and embarrassed 8 given the fact that I lost days that I had already paid for, and I could not be allowed an extra 4 hours. But anyway, I finally got to the streets and waited for my tax.

They were kind enough to let us checkin early due to a time constraint we had

Good place to stay. Clean apartment with good amenities. Well equipped kitchen close to grocery store and relatively close to attractions.

Positive: Close to the city centre and a quiet apartment. Negative: It was really hard to find the flat I needed to stay on the phone to the customer services lady for 30 minutes to also get the location of the key safe. The flat is in a little alleyway and the key safe is on the back wall of the bin shed next to the drain pipe,the shed is on the right of the building entrance if you face the building. But it's not obvious that this is the shed you have to go to. Also, someone took the parking permit from the flat therefore we had to park in a nearby car park overnight,which should be reimbursed by Host and Stay. After that we managed to park next to the Aldi car park entrance where there were 3 random parking slots, for free of course. I was told there's no freezer,but then there is a fridge freezer in the kitchen. This information should be stated.

Location good, host worst! Positive: The location is good. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the town center. There is also an elevator in the building, which makes it easy to move heavy luggage. Negative: 1. Dirty ovenware used for cooking was left inside the oven. 2. The bathroom mat had stains and was dirty. 3. The light in the indoor hallway did not work. 4. The bathroom door handle was almost coming off. (A screw had fallen on the floor, and it was nearly impossible to use the handle from the outside.) 5. The bathroom drain was very poor, likely due to dirty pipes. 6. I was told to leave the key in the outdoor safe box for repairs. However, the repair was not done properly, and the key was left inside the box with the cover open and the code unchanged. This meant anyone could take the key, and it was left like this for several hours, which felt extremely unsafe. I reported all these issues with photos and repeatedly asked for improvements. However, on days they said they would come, no one showed up. Even when I reported the dangerous handling of the key in point 6, I received no further response. While issues 1 and 2 were resolved, issue 4 was never fixed. As for issue 3, they simply moved the light bulb from the living room table lamp to the hallway, leaving the living room without a working light and making the stay even more inconvenient. Overall, the host was very dishonest and untrustworthy, truly unfaithful.

Totol wast of time and money to get there and totally was of mony paying for this place . Positive: The first moment we come in there , it was a big mess dirty . Second thing we face was old , broke and dirty sofa bed. Next was just there was one duvet ready to sleep and the other duvet didn't have the duvet cover one it . The towels were wet, smelled bad and you could see that someone had dusted them. The balcony table and chairs was VERY DIRTY. On Monday around 7.30pm someone was calling the intercom. When I look out off the door vizier I see a men going up to flat above me . Next day at same time it happens the sama . But this day he come to my door and first nocking at the door so I don’t open . I can see he was on phone with someone. After he started to banging hard on door so I open and ask him what he wanted. HE JUST DID STUPID FACE AND SMILED SAYING IS WRONG FLAT NUMBER. After he went up again to same flat as the day before and I can hear other men and women they was smiling very loudly I don’t know why . I was not feeling safe at this point. Day after in night they hade some loud party and i say to myself not that is way to much and I left . So I but back the house key in key book make video of it , call you to let know I left. As nobody answered the phone I left voicemail. I do have more pick and video me putting back the keys but is not allowing me to send more Negative: NOTHING AT ALL THIS PLACE I DISCUSSING DIRTY AND NO SAFE TOO BE THARE

It’s very nice flat , near to the central part of the city! Canterbury is a lovely place with a lot of history and places to visit ! I will back. Tks

Nice place, close to town and nice walks to be had along the river

Excellent value, plenty of room, and obvious improvements made. Positive: Having used this property before, it was good to see that improvements had been made, to the kitchen floor, and the bathroom decor. The standards of cleanliness were very high throughout. Negative: The communal bin areas are truly horrid, but that is not the fault of this property owner. Furniture in the bedroom is very functional, but spartan.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt in Canterbury Positive: Zentrale Lage der Wohnung, Nähe zum Supermarkt, ruhige Lage im 2. Stock, Aussicht von der Terasse auf die Parkanlage & Bäume & leider sehr nahes Nachbarhaus, Geräusche der Vögel und nicht des Straßenverkehrs zu hören, TV mit deutschsprachigen Filmen, angenehme Größe der Wohnung, Wohnung mit kleinen Lebensmittelvorrat (Salz, Öl, Tee) und somit ein erstes Eingewöhnen gut möglich, Seife, Duschgel und WC-Papier vorhanden, Wäscheständer Negative: WLAN-Passwort ist falsch auf der Information abgeschrieben, Schlüsselbox war nicht leicht zu finden, Schlüssel war leider auch nicht in der Schlüsselbox und wir mussten die angegebene Kontaktnummer anrufen (welche sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend war!), der zentrale Müllplatz war ein Sauhaufen und der Müll lag daher wirklich überall herum, Dunstabzug für Ofen hat nicht funktioniert

Ok except the hidden keyd Positive: Location near city centre Negative: Reception not helpful at all - contacted several times as 2 how 2 check-in n where 2 retrieve the keys - kept repeating that keys r hidden in bin box around d vicinity - took us 45 minutes 2 search d hidden keys, thanks 2 a good samaritan neighbour.

Worse place we have ever stayed Positive: The location was very central. The bed and sheets were clean and smelled clean. (But spent nearly an hour swatting flies so we could sleep) Fridge was clean House looked tidy ( but was very unclean) Negative: The mold and dirty smell that hit you as soon as you entered the building! ( to the point I was dry heaving) No lighting in pitch black corridors. The water damaged ceiling and carpet right outside the apartment to the left. The flies!! tons of flies that landed on us and stayed on us as soon as we walked thru the door.... as we tried to eat our sandwiches the flies were landing on us and our food and crawling on us. The carpets we vacuumed but filthy. The sofa bed was dirty and smelled bad. The oven wouldn't work.(but maybe that was us who couldn't figure it out) and it's contents were not clean. The side panel on the bath tub had come away from the side, revealing alot of black mold. The smell was intense. There was black mold on the walls, drapes and window frames in the living room, and within 10 minutes of us being there our eyes were watering, noses running and throats sore. By morning my eyes were so swollen and I could hardly swallow... we had no choice but to leave. We have never left a hotel or air bnb before...but this one was really bad.

The hardware is almost impeccable, the location is moderate, close to the train station, there is a supermarket opposite the residence, and the room is clean and well-organized. It's a pity that the software failed to catch up. There was no hot water supply from the morning of the third day of stay. I immediately contacted the host and he said that the hot water would need to be warmed up for a while before it could be provided. When I wanted to take a shower at night, I found that there was still no hot water. I contacted the host at this time, but there was no reply. I had no choice but to contact the bnb staff. Thanks to the intervention of bnb, the host responded later and said that an engineer would come to repair it tomorrow. But when I came back that night, I found that there was still no hot water. So I had to find the bnb staff again. He suggested that I check out immediately and make some compensation to me.

We had an amazing time spent in the really nice apartment with balcony. The host has a good communication and clearly check in details. Thank you for that

Pleasant and comfortable enough, but good value. Positive: Everything you could possibly need during your stay was provided. Despite comments that others have made, the balcony was spotlessly clean.......although the wrong time of year to use it! Its basic accommodation, but as long as your expectations are realistic, then it wont disappoint. Negative: The bathroom certainly needs a bit of TLC, and there is a hole in the kitchen flooring. The other flats are all very close, and overlook the balcony, and window, so it doesn't feel very private.....unless you leave the curtains drawn all day.
