Host & Stay | TUR04 Beryl Lodge — Guest Reviews

had to write an email complaint regarding the lodge. Apart from this the surroundings and restaurant were amazing I would return!

Myself & 4 friends spent 2 nights at Beryl Lodge, and whilst the lodge itself was lovely and the area great, we ran into a few problems that let it down. On the 2nd day we were there, the hot tub was not working, not heating up. We did everything stated in the rules, had the lid on it over night, yet it wasn’t working. We completely understand these things happen, but found the communication with the hosts and how it was handled not great, saying it was ‘user error’ despite us following all the rules. No one was able to come and fix the hot tub all day despite us letting them know in the morning, so they had all day to try fix it or offer to move us somewhere with a working one. As a big part of us deciding to stay here was because of the hot tub, this was a let down. This is no fault of the host, but the WiFi was also down for the entire day.l in the entire park. Despite these issues, we had a lovely time, but would be hesitant to return.

Positive: Very quiet and peaceful. Good prompt service

A perfect getaway for a relaxing weekend Positive: It was Spacious , comfortable, well equipped and in gorgeous surroundings . Negative: The only negative was how hot the lodge was when we arrived , with all the curtains and blinds open the sun had turned it into a bit of a greenhouse . I also noticed there was no bin in either bathroom and only a small waste bin in the kitchen/ living area .

Great place to stay & perfect for getting around York. Place was clean & we ate at JJ place on site & the food was delicious x would definitely stay again xx

Weekend away Positive: Gorgeous lodge with nice hot tub. Great facilities in the lodge. Nice restaurant on site. Negative: A little far from town.

Overall a very lovely stay. The Lodge is lovely, very spacious, nice furniture, great kitchen with plenty of pots & pans to cook. The hot tub was great but not very private from the lodges at either side. We just put our towels over the bannister to help. One thing I found odd was that there was no hand soap anywhere in the lodge. After asking at reception and being told they would get some sorted for us I shortly after recieved a text to say that hand soap isnt included as its a celf-catering lodge. I feel like hand soap in a bathroom should always be provided for hygiene so its not somwthing we thought to bring with us. A nice walk to the petrol station 2 miles away luckily had some. I also wanted to mention that there was some confusion regarding a mandatory £250 security deposit or £40 damage protection that we weren't made aware of until a few days before the trip. We were asked to pay this multiple times despite AirBnB confirming we didn't have to. We still had a good stay.

We had an amazing stay here! I felt right at home and enjoyed every moment. Charlie was an outstanding host, always quick to respond and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. I was blown away by the stunning view outside. The garden was beautiful, and I loved sipping my morning coffee on the balcony. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and clean place to stay!\

Calm, relaxing and felt like home. Positive: It was beautiful. Negative: Nothing, it was such a lively caravan to stay in.
