Yarm is absolutely beautiful and the property was beautifully decorated and smelt amazing! Great location. Unfortunately, there was no information regarding parking and I was not aware at the point of booking that a deposit would be required before I could receive the access code. This made checking in slightly stressful. The carpets had not been hoovered prior to our arrival - we found chilli seeds and the end of a screw on the floor which wasn’t great considering our daughter was crawling throughout the house. Otherwise would have been a much higher rating.
Great stay. Ideal location in the high street, small but comfortable stay for two people for a week. Had everything we needed to get settled - dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, coffee, milk - nice to land and chill with enough supplies to allow us to relax first. WiFi was good but not much work space - won’t apply to all but an fyi for anyone but we found it a little challenging to work on our laptops with the given space. Parking was fine, street parking available. There’s a couple of spaces outside of the house on a first come, first served basis. Being from Yarm, I know you can also park up at the top of the hill next to Snaith’s park, and there’s also three spaces available opposite the property. They’re all for permit holders and staying in the Airbnb you are technically one of those, so you can park in any of those spots if the one outside the house gets taken. Powerful hot shower, comfy sofa, lots of storage. Overall a really nice stay and we would stay again!

The cottage was exactly what I needed for the few nights that I stayed. Nice comfortable place to stay with just a short walk into the centre of Yarm.

Great stay! Yarm is a gem. Positive: A quaint house that feels like a home-away-from-home. It features a charming small backyard, perfect for smokers,. It sits just around the corner from the high street. This features a variety of restaurants, pubs, shops, and a Sainsbury's. Negative: We had some electricity issues, nothing dangerous though. Note; I trust that it is improved by now. Drainage of the shower needs to be inspected and improved.
NEVER EVER STAY IN A HOST & STAY PROPERTY!!!! Positive: Absolutely nothing! The whole experience was awful. Negative: Firstly the lock box code was never sent so at 3.45pm I had to contact them to get it and that took ages. Then when we arrived at the property it had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Wet dirty towels were on the floor in the bathroom with no clean new ones for us and the bed was a mess, dirty and clearly hadnt been changed from the previous guests. There were coffee marks on the bed side table and in the kitchen washing machine we found someone else's boxer pants, socks and T-Shirt. We contacted Host and Stay straight away to be told by a very rude and uncaring man it wasn't his problem and there was nothing they could do. When we said so you expect us to sleep in a bed complete strangers have slept in the night before and use used towels he again said its not my problem. He was completely unhelpful with next to zero customer service. We rang back and then spoke to a lady who did try and help us. She said she would contact the owner to see if they could come and clean the property, at this point it was 8pm so we agreed we would go out into the town to get some food to allow that to happen. Whilst we were out we received a phone call from the original rude man who said they could not come out to clean that night and the earliest would be the next day. Again we asked him where he expected us to sleep tonight and he again said its not his problem and theres nothing he could do. So we told him we would book somewhere else and requested a full refund. Later that night we then received a phone call to say they could get someone out to clean it but at that point it was late and we had already booked somewhere else and had no faith in Host and Stay what so ever. They are now refusing to refund us and the whole thing has been a nightmare. DO NOT STAY IN A HOST & STAY PROPERTY!
Lovely stay, very cosy and comfortable. On previous reviews, people have mentioned that there is no microwave. However, Positive: So cosy, especially when you put the electric fire on! Negative: There was nothing I didn’t like.

Beautiful cottage, great location - ideal for a short stay in Yarm
Positive: My only possible issue was that the bed was very soft, but that’s my chipce Negative: Great town snd area to spend a few days. Would of been happy to spend longer the either at place to dtsy

Lovely presented little house in great location for Yarm High Street. Positive: Lovely presented little house in great location for Yarm High Street. Negative: Just a few essentials missing….. no microwave. No washing up basin or plug in kitchen sink. Having never used an induction hob I found it quite difficult and frustrating.

Very helpful and enjoyable stay
This is a lovely cottage in excellent location, close walk to Yarm High Street & all it's shops, cafes & restaurants. I would have given it a 5 star rating but we found the limited parking in street a bit tricky as it's not 24 hrs. If there's no space outside the cottage, parking is restricted to 3 hrs max in Yarm. We had to move our car around a few times to avoid parking tickets. We also found the bed uncomfortably hard, so we didn't get much sleep (of course this may just be us).
Exceptional Positive: Wonderful cosy and comfortable accommodation in a superb location.
Very clean and cosy place would definitely recommend
