Loved it Positive: Nicely decorated, lovely touches with soft furnishings, decent furniture, spotlessly clean, perfect location, access to field for dog walking and cliff path seconds from the front door - also has private enclosed garden area. Around 10-15 minutes walk to town. Negative: Nothing but just a couple of things to improve- garden needs improving particularly for summer visitors. Could do with table lamp in front room, dressing table with seat in one of bedrooms would help, also a couple of bowls to use in microwave. All of these minor issues. Would highly recommend

Great venue. location in 5 mins out of town. Quiet street, next to a nice field for the dog as well. 2 mins from the coastal path too. The house is nice and cosy.

This was a really good base and location.., easy to access the beach through the golf course. Also 5 -10 mins walk into the centre of seahouses… Plenty of places to eat and loads of beach walking which is dog friendly all year round.. we have stayed in this area 8 times it’s like our second home. Would stay again👍

Clean, well equipped spacious property in a great location. Positive: The property was lovely & clean and spacious for 2 adults & a dog. Plenty of storage in the bedrooms & plenty of hooks for coats, towels etc which isn’t always the case in holiday lets. It was lovely having the option of a bath & shower & also a downstairs wc. Kitchen was well equipped. Location was great Private parking for 2 cars Negative: The back garden let the property down a little, it did appear a bit untidy. My biggest concern with the garden is as you are dog friendly I would expect the garden to be so as well and as a large portion of it is laid to small stones we wouldn’t have let our dog out there on her own for fear of her swallowing any. Luckily for us we visited in October so not warm enough to sit in garden but I would have been disappointed had I been there in the summer.

A great place to stay for visiting Northumberland,clean and tidy ,close to all things,great for our dog ,5mins walk to field's and the beach and shops.

Was exactly what we wanted and so handy for things.Garlic bad though Positive: Location fabulous and easy to reach the centre.Beach very close and nearby field for dog walking Negative: We only have one complaint.THE GARLIC smell.It was there 24/7 and no matter what we tried it just would not budge.Doors left open when we were in.Windows also.Air freshener.Scented candles also.It was as if the Strong garlic smell was ingrained in the property.Please check it out its really annoying We would have given this place top marks otherwise

Great stay while celebrating a family birthday in Seahouses. Quiet residential area, with an easy 5-10~ minute walk to the high street area, and great for a long walk down the coast with the coastal path just a minute away. Had everything we needed, lovely touch having coffee and tea etc which was appreciated when we arrived. Very glad to bring our small dog along with us, he loved having a sniff around the back garden! Very clean and lovely welcoming decor. Would recommend!

Both us and our two dogs had a fantastic time . The location was perfect for a short walk into the centre of Seahouses. There are lots of places to eat and drink, from traditional pubs to fish and chip shops and delicious icecream. Breathtaking views of Bamburgh castle, and daily boat trips to farne islands . The house was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. We definitely want to return. Also, ideally situated for visits to Bamburgh, Beadnell and Holy Island.

Excellent stay, facilities and location. Positive: Excellent location. Quiet over the christmas period. No host on site and lounge to the back of the property made our stay private and quiet for us to come and go as we pleased. Short walk along the coastal path to the harbour and town. Excellent facilties in the house. Home from home over the Christmas period. Our 2 small dogs were welcome. We would certainly return. Negative: Suggestions not criticism - A mirror near a socket for hair drying would have been useful and the tv in the bedroom didn't have aeriiel/digital connection.

Amazing location. Very close to the sea, harbour and footpaths. Fantastic for our 4-legged friends. Would highly recommend, particularly for guests with dogs.

Positive: The location, the open land access at the end of the culd de sac, was fab for a quick dog walk and also access to the coastline so you could be at the harbour in 10 minutes. The bed was very comfy and bags of hot water. Negative: Nothing

Great property with 2 bathrooms. Positive: Modern house a short coastal walk into town about 10 mins away. 2 bath/shower rooms and downstairs loo makes it good choice for 2 couples Negative: 2nd twin bedroom did not have a bedside cabinet or light but we managed to sort from items in the property

We had a lovely stay here my one of my partners 40th birthday presents. We are a family of five with a baby and we arrived late on the Friday night, we go settled quickly and felt at home instantly. The house was perfect for what we needed and would certainly consider staying again in future. The house was clean and well presented. The house is well located with only a short walk into the centre of Seahouses. Highly recommended.

Clean and tidy space. Functional rather than cosy, could do with some lamps to soften the light in the evening. Garden similarly is Functional. Good spot for sight seeing and walking.

A good size property with great location for small family Positive: Great location. Quiet area and an easy little walk to town, harbour and all amenities Negative: Unfortunately somebody had recently smoked within property. The floors could have been cleaner as there was quite a lot of dog hair. One blind and one drawer were broken. Also oven and hob were quite slow but none of this detracted from our holiday experience.

Lovely clean property would have been perfect if had hot water too ! Positive: The property was lovely, modern and light. Fab location by the coast path. It was so nicely decorated and spotlessly clean on arrival. Lovely touches and very comfy. Negative: really disappointing that there was not hot water for a bath after a long walk and got cold after dusk. There were no instructions on how to get a booster switch for hot water as instructions just said hot water was on demand. such a shame as one person I travel with needs hot baths to help a medical condition and I had hoped to bring them here too.

Great location next to the coastal path and the town centre. Very quiet residential area with dedicated parking space. Property was neatly presented As a solo traveller felt very safe in the house.

seahouses we had a short stay in the seahouse area. would love to visit again. there are lots of good restaurants i wanted to try.

Positive: It's a comfortable, well organised house which is really close to the coast path and the centre of seahouses. Was perfect for us Negative: Having a second electric shower over the bath would have been very good. A mirror in the downstairs bathroom would be lovely (found the picture hilarious though!!). The ensuite only has a tiny mirror too. Overall it was really great though

A fantastic location and home. Excellent facilities, bathrooms and kitchen. Comfortable living space and garden. Not lux Positive: Fabulous locations and facilities. It had a nice little garden and the kitchen was well equipped. Lovely sea view from the main bedroom and the amount of loos was great! We would definitely go back. Negative: The people who’d been in before obviously had a very hairy dog and it hadn’t been cleaned enough. There was white hair and the smell of dog all over the rug in the lounge. We contacted the owners and they offered another clean but to save time during our stay and because our stuff was everywhere I just ran the hoover over again. Definitely needs a deep clean though and a few maintenance issues too that are easily solved and didn’t affect our stay at all.

It was very enjoyable and would stay there again. Positive: Definitely catered for our needs, a very good stay, nice and quiet and relaxed. Negative: The benches at the dinning table, uncomfortable.

Easy check in. Accommodation clean, however some of the glases/cutlery needed further cleaning. Ideal for 2 night stay but if staying for week certain things needed more attention. Overall happy. Perfect location. Tv too big for layout of room, bit sceptical about trying to turn round for sofa and chair visibility. Bedrroms comfortable and ideal for 3 of us, maybe a bit tight for 4 people but v happy to return. Thank-you

We really enjoyed our short stay in Seahouses. Loads to do, beautiful beach. You must do the walk from Seahouses to Bamburgh Castle along the beach. The house itself is spotlessly clean, just as described in the photos and accompanying description. Communication with the agents was clear and they gave us plenty of information via a virtual guidebook about things to do locally and about the house itself. Couldn’t fault it really, we felt right at home!!

This is the secind time I have stayed her. It is perfectly placed to walk to the village of Seahouses (approx 5 mins) and also Beadnell Bay. It is also possible if you enjoy a medium/long walk to walk along the beach to Bamburgh. It is great to be able to arrive and leave the car parked outside the house and leave it and explore on foot

Great location and well equiped property. Positive: Great location within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Negative: Bed was saggy and not as comfortable as expected for this level of accommodation. Would benefit from a new mattress.

Great house in a great location. Clean and comfortable with some lovely homely touches. Ideal base for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coastline and a short walk into Seahouses itself. Would highly recommend.

Comfortable and relaxed stay, House is in a nice quiet location. Would certainly consider using again. Positive: House was comfortable, clean and tidy. Rear garden area is fine, and sheltered, ideal late afternoon and evening for sunshine if the weather permits. A couple of board games as well as the jigsaws would be an added bonus. Location is ideal just a short 10 minute walk to shops pubs etc. INSTRUCTIONS on how to operate the hot water would be good

Short Seahouses Stay The property is ideally placed for a peaceful stay whilst being a short walk away from all the amenities that Seahouses has to offer.The property is well equipped, tastefully decorated and really comfortable. Looking forward to returning sometime in the future.

Perfect location without the need to drive. Beds very comfy. All amenities you need were provided. Despite being at the end of season the house was still looking welcoming all the ornaments made you feel at home.

One of the main surprises about this booking was that after booking and paying the balance, we were contacted and informed we had to pay an additional £25 accidental damage cover or we had to pay a deposit which we could claim back afterwards minus a £10 admin fee. This was disappointing as this should have been included in the price and made very clear before booking is confirmed. The house was in a great location, was clean, tidy and warm, however you can tell this is run by a management company as it was lacking in some of the little personal touches that we have experienced in other air bnbs run by individual hosts.

Positive: Location was excellent and house has all the amenities needed.

Nice little house, quiet area, comfortable beds, tea, coffee sugar, and milk on arrival. Someone parked in drive when we arrived but sorted a bit later before we headed out. One criticism i have is that you book on a non refundsble basis, then find out they require a bond and then they deduct an admin fee, which is a bit naughty.

Excellent stay Positive: its location we used it as a stop over on the way to scotland. it was easy to find, very close to restaurants cafe's and shops not to mention pubs, didn't use the kitchen except to unwrap the takeaway. Negative: I Don't know whether my fault or theirs but, we had to sort out the insurance for our stay on the doorstep (to get the Key box code) not the easiest company to call. and i think they could have let me know at time of booking.

Overall, very nice place as advertised in good locatio. Negative: No cleaning supplies, unable to clean sink, counters, stove or floor as there were no supplies. Also needed more washing up liquid and paper towel. Took us ages to find plug for sink.

Vert relaxing and quiet stay. It was nice to have free WiFi and a extra TV in the bedroom. Positive: The location was excellent, shops and restaurants pubs not far to walk. Negative: The property did smell of smoke In the hall as you walked In, could to with a paint all round, the front and back garden need a good weed. Apart from they have a gem of a place.

Lovely property to be able to explore the Northumberland coast. Only a 5 minute walk and you are into Seahouses centre. Well decorated property. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Positive: Knus huis, leuke aankleding. 3 toiletten en 2 badkamers. Op loopafstand van de zee, echt uniek. Voldoende speelgelegenheid om te badmintonnen of frisbeeën. Negative: De 'eetkamer' is functioneel, maar erg klein. Ik voelde me er thuis. De tuin heeft wat aandacht nodig.

Positive: The location was beautiful 😍 plenty to do in surrounding areas also. Negative: The floors were very dirty in the property with no mop and bucket to wash them. Pillows very flat and needed extra for a good night's sleep.

Not a bad place to stay, plenty of local attractions. Positive: Location was brilliant Negative: The property could do with a little TLC, 2 of the 3 toilets were broken and would not flush on arrival, the owners did manage to get a plumber to repair during our visit.

We enjoyed a clean and comfortable stay at the Beachcombers Rest. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook, eat and clean. Great, quiet location with easy walking to the centre of Seahouses which has several restaurants, pubs and takeaways. A short drive to many attractions, including Bamburgh and the Holy Isle, as well as beautiful beaches. The patio/garden area was a bit of a let down, especially as we had lovely weather for sitting out. It was minimal but could be lovely with a bit of care. Expect to pay at least another £10 for "admin" to get your deposit back, or £25 for an indemnity policy! Airbnb are trying to be transparent at the booking stage for total cost but this is a cheeky little add on by Host and Stay.

The property is really well presented, well equipped and in a lovely part of the country.

Location great would not recommend house Positive: Location Negative: Toilet was not working patio doors could not open ( fire hazard) shower very very low pressure report toilet and patio ( patio had been reported by other people did get advise how to fix we are not there to fix faults

The house itself is lovely and in the perfect location for places like Alnwick, Bamborough, Lindisfarne etc. The beaches in this area are stunning and you can walk for miles. The house was comfy, especially the beds and its in a lovely quiet street, with easy access straight onto the coastal path and just a few mins walk to seahouses harbour, meaning you can leave the car at the house if you are going to the Farnes or into the village or for a walk on the beach. There were a few issues, mainly in terms of the cleaning of the kitchen, but the patio door was also stuck. This meant we couldnt use the garden, which was disappointing as the weather was perfect to enjoy breakfast or an evening drink in the garden, but sadly that couldnt happen. All issues reported to Host and Stay so hopefully they will be fixed as it really is a lovely place to stay. It does seem strange that you book through airbnb, but then host and stay offer you discounts to book directly with them next time.

we absolutely loved our stay here. All the amenities where superb (the lining especially 👌) the place has a lovely homely vibe. Close to shops and pubs walking distant. The only issue I have with host & stay, is they put another 10£ service charge on. Which you have to pay after you have booked unknowingly.

Immediately felt uneasy about the stay when we were hit with a large cleaning fee & an unexpected request for a deposit after the booking had been accepted. We decided to go ahead & the place was easy enough to find. But when we opened the door there was a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke throughout the entire house. As the sun set, we searched for the light switch & flicked it on. But there was no power! We tried the fuse box, normal. So we phoned the management company who directed us to a meter outside which read ‘emergency credit’. We pushed the button & fortunately, the meter got topped up for the remainder of our stay. Anyway, the house needs proper maintenance. The downstairs toilet runs. The upstairs toilet handle is very loose. The dripping & clicking from the bathroom kept me from sleeping & there was dog poo in the back garden. All in all, a disappointing stay made worse by the cleaners arriving 20 minutes early, waiting on the drive & making us feel awks AF.

Could be a lovely holiday let, with some maintenance Positive: Beachcombers is indeed a clean, comfortable, well-equipped house in a lovely position where you can easily walk into town and to the shore. The owners have furnished the house very thoughtfully. 10/10. Negative: We were greatly disappointed by the pervasive smell of cigarette smoke in the house. We did complain but no one came to call. Also, the thermostat on the shower did not work and the water ran too hot. And surely the Housekeeping team should notice that the toilet flush in the bathroom was not functioning - when cleaning the place? A shame the house is not well maintained. The rubbish outside was overflowing. In addition, it was a shock to have paid and then be presented with a bill of 25 pounds for extra insurance or a deposit of 250 pounds!! Booking.com used to say the charges were up front. Later, I did see this deposit mentioned in the last paragraph for the description of the property. Not to be repeated by us.

Not happy. Positive: The bedrooms were very nice, kitchen and lounge fine, location fine. Negative: We were looking forward to using the bath, but the water in the bathroom was not hot enough, water in the shower fine. The heating seemed only to come on at certain intervals and was not on in the evenings, the front panel on the boiler was off , looked like someone had been working on it. Did not like having to pay an amount to avoid leaving a deposit to in case there were damages "Damage waiver £25" surely your insurance covers this ?We never have paid this before with Bookings.com.

Disappointed by smoke! Positive: Excellent location, great house very well kept & immaculate in all ways except one! Negative: From the moment we opened the front door we could smell cigarette smoke even after leaving windows & doors open it remained. Every item of our clothing smelt of smoke by the time we left totally unacceptable. I have to admit to a mistake I missed the details around damage wavers & felt frustrated when I realised I had to pay an additional £260, refundable minus £10 in 14 days or £25 total for a 2 nt stay & provide my personal information to a company I've never heard of subject to an inspection after my stay I was disappointed to be put in this position when I booked with booking.com I expect their T&Cs not host & stay whom I had never heard of & frankly I will never stay with again!

Positive: Glorious part of the world for a weekend break A very comfortable house located only a short scenic walk from the harbour shops and several charming pubs We enjoyed our stay very much We had everything we needed including TV a super big fridge a washing machine and Alexa ! One thing though watch out for very hot water in the shower Maybe the temperature control is not working properly ? Also a difficult to open sliding door into the nice out door garden space Overall a great house in a very lovely part of the world no doubt of that Negative: just as above mad I know but the shower water was a bit too hot with no means of control and the difficult sliding door Or was that just us ? 🙃

Very good, lovely area. Hose very nice, comfortable and clean. Just a couple of points: mirror would be helpful in second bedroom and lamp. Also lamp in main sitting room. Otherwise very good . Thankyou
