We booked a last minute winter get away, the flat was lovely, had everything we needed to make our stay homely, even the added Christmas tree, instructions and detailed guide book very helpful. Would love to stay again.

Fab apartment clean and comfortable in a great location. Positive: The property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Good location easy walk into town . Having an allocated parking space was also great and the property has a nice sea view. The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch we would definitely stay again . Negative: Nothing we didn’t like

The space was well thought out, as you come in open plan kitchen, living, dining room to the right, bedrooms to the left and in the middle was the bathroom, all a good size, took my parents who have mobility issues and the lift being right outside the front door was awesome. The wine and chocolate were well received and the parking at the back, even though was a little tight for the car we had was great to have. The windows opening up and having a little balcony was lovely, everything was clean and tidy, would recommend this place.

It was my mums 70th birthday and a bottle of wine and chocolates were left for her as gift which was a really lovely touch. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, loved it!

Just returned from a fabulous Friday to Sunday weekend break with friends. The accommodation was lovely, clean and very spacious for the 4 of us. Location is good. We would highly recommend and we will return again.

Lovely place, ideal to visit Whitby and so comfortable. Would highly recommend. Positive: Beautiful outside and in. Furniture very comfy including beds. Kitchen had everything you need for a long or short stay. Oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and plenty of pans and plates. Bathrooms - 1 en-suite with shower and other has bath. Location ideal for anyone attending the Pavilion and just a short walk down to town centre. Parking space for 1 vehicle but close enough parking for others outside of permit zones. Negative: Would have liked two keys (only had four for the 4 staying). 2nd toilet had bath but would have liked shower over the bath or separate. Instructions for how to use the equipment (dishwasher, hob, heating etc.) not everyone has dishwasher at home so can be confusing to work.

We have recently returned from a four day stay at Beach Pad. We received full instructions the day before our stay. Entrance was super easy, as was the car park details. All the rooms very exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable. Towels were super soft There is plenty of storage in the bedrooms. The shower is perfectly adequate, although the shower door was a little stiff. The apartment location is great and within easy walking distance to Whitby centre. It is also really quite at night. I loved the sea view and made regular use of the balcony with a morning coffee. There is a Costcutter a short walk away for milk/ bread etc. The welcome wine and chocolate was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Host & Stay have kept me updated throughout, from booking to departing. Their communications are first class. I would definitely recommend booking with them again.

Fantastic stay at the Beach Pad. Apartment was large & modern. It was extremely comfortable, the beds & bedding were amazing, you just sank into the pillows. The en-suite shower was nice & powerful which is always a bonus. Good sea views. Overall a gr8 stay, would highly recommend.

The Beach Pad was perfect! Beautiful modern apartment with quality fittings. Good accessibility with parking place and lift to first floor accommodation. Location was ideal being quiet but close to activities on the West Cliff and easy walk into Whitby. We enjoyed a ride on the hop-on-hop-off open-topped bus that goes past the apartment and up to the Abbey. We hired a mobility Scooter from Ian at Whitby Mobility which loaded easily into the boot of our car and enabled my mother to ride around Whitby Harbour and around local villages on the moors including Goathland which was really interesting especially for fans of Heartbeat and the North Yorkshire Railway. We finished our holiday with a train ride from Whitby to Pickering. It is their Market Day on Monday so it made a good trip. Thank you to our hosts for providing chocolates and wine - a lovely welcome! We really appreciated staying in such a well serviced apartment that had been thoughtfully created to provide such comfort.

To sum up our stay I would say it was clean, tidy, bright and it was a comfortable home from home few days break which w Positive: It was very clean and because of the windows and concertina glass doors it was lovely, light and bright. The decor was exceptional, the open plan of the kitchen, dining and living space is fantastic because you can still be part of the conversations if you’re in any of those areas. Although we didn’t watch any of the DVD’s this was a lovely touch, we did play some of the games that were also provided and had fun in the evenings, this was also a thoughtful touch of the owners. As parking is usually at a premium in Whitby, The parking bay provided with the apartment was an absolute necessity and was a few metres away from the main entrance which was a big bonus. The Comunal lift was an absolute bonus. Negative: There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like about this apartment, we enjoyed our few days break here and we would definitely stay here again. Although this is only a suggestion, A white or grey tower fan that fits in with the beautiful decor would be a great addition because even though we had the doors open, there was no breeze at times. And as there isn’t any hanging space in one of the bedrooms, a clothing rail would be of benefit.

Lovely apartment with a safe parking space. Really enjoyed the short walk along the sea front to Whitby centre. No issues on an evening, nice and quiet. The apartment is very spacious. Lovely little welcome gift on arrival.

Our apartment was amazing. It was very clean, modern and really homely. Walking distance to the town centre and beautiful sea view from the balcony.

Spotlessly clean throughout. Regular and very clear instructions. A perfect place to stay with own parking space, just a short walk to the town. The balcony added to the feeling of light and space in the very spacious living room.

Nice, comfy and well-equipped apartment, close to the sea front and centre. Good value for an apartment of this comfort. Plenty of space and seating for four people. The lift is helpful for getting your bags in and out from the handy private car park. Was a bit disappointed that the lovely huge picture windows are rather dirty and there were some cleaning cloth smears and fingerprints on the sitting room table and a couple of kitchen cabinets. Both toilet seats would benefit from being replaced with ones that fit properly and are securely fixed. I'm not keen on the communication style used by Host and Stay which makes you feel a bit like a naughty schoolchild who does not know how to look after things.

Superb place to stay Positive: Overall standard of the apartment. Decor, furnishings and equipment provided were all superb. Negative: Windows could have been cleaner however the dust on my windscreen after the first night would indicate that keeping them clean on the outside would be a full time job.

We had a very comfortable homely feeling about our stay. It was only for a couple of days but there’s plenty going on in Whitby if we had been able to stay the week. We will definitely be back at some point.

Positive: Spacious and clean appartment

We had a great stay here. The apartment is modern and spacious, and the sea view from the balcony was fantastic. The heating and hot water worked perfectly and kept the place comfortable throughout our stay in January. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we really appreciated the wine and chocolates on arrival. Just a small note that guests should bring their own toiletries. Would definitely recommend!

A very comfortable apartment. At a very cold time of the year it was warm and welcoming. It’s near the promenade with a nice view of the sea and is a short walk from town (15 minutes to the town centre). It has a parking space to the rear of the block that was very convenient. The apartment has an excellent kitchen, nice bathrooms with plenty of hot water and comfy beds. Good communication with “Host and Stay”.

we were pleased that it was everything that was promised. The location was perfect, with a pleasant walk to the centre. Parking was easy and felt a safe location. We would definately use again on a return to this lovely town.

We had a fantastic few days stay at Beach Pad Whitby. Could not have asked for a better apartment. Very close to attractions and great eateries. Extremely clean and had everything we wanted.

Can’t fault it Positive: Absolutely loved it, so spacious, clean, modern and good quality. Would stay here every time I come to Whitby if I could! Also great to have a parking spot. Shame it’s nearly always booked up! Negative: Just a shame it’s always booked up so far in advance!!

Positive: Spotless! Very well equipped, like home from home. And welcome pack a nice touch. Great position for visiting Whitby. Only criticism is the loo seats dont fit the pans!!! And I've never stayed anywhere where uou have to strip the beds when you leave but no big deal I guess.

Very clean and central to all the Whitby has to offer. Would highly recommend this place to stay. Very good communication with management company and any questions were answered in a timely response.

Good place to stay Positive: Very clean and well equipped. Almost perfect, we will return. Negative: No clothes rail in the twin bedroom, and the toilet seat in the shower room was loose and the view of the sea was marred by unclean windows.

We had a fantastic time staying in this apartment. The location is great; sea view and moments from the beach, as well as being only 10 minutes walk into town. But it’s pretty quiet too, as it’s not right in the middle of town. The apartment was spacious and well appointed.

Our apartment was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Felt very much at home. A lovely view of the sea and a 10 mins walk to our favourite cafe Clara's and the Whalebones where the view is amazing. Another 10 min walk and your into the town. The lift and carpark was a bonus. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend The Beach Pad.

Fantastic apartment that we would definitely visit again. The living space and kitchen were fabulous. The bifold doors allowed lots of air and an outdoors indoors feel. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and we very much appreciated the bottle of wine and chocolates. The mattress was very comfortable on the double bed and the room was lovely and airy. The bathrooms were both all you would want. Parking was literally just outside so we didn’t have to walk very far with our luggage. We had a brilliant stay and hope to visit again.

Privé parkeerplaats aan de achterzijde van het appartement. Negative: De ingangsdeur slaat dicht met een harde klap en sluit niet goed. Beperkte opbergruimte in de badkamers. Kleine slaapkamer heeft te weinig bergruimte.

Our stay started off really well. Booked for 3 nights. Woke up on day 2, there was no hot water or central heating. The boiler had stopped working. Unfortunate that the phone number we had been given was not responding. E-mailed, and got a response to say plumber would be out that day. Plumber arrived as we were going out, but unfortunately he could not fix it. He contacted the owner and told us someone would call us. We waited, and waited no response from Host & Stay, we phoned 4 times before getting hold of someone. The owner contacted us as she could not get hold of them either. She moved us to another one of her properties, she was lovely, apologetic etc, etc. she was brilliant, just unfortunate that it used up our whole morning, which impacted on our short visit. Host and Stay did eventually get back to us, but very slow to respond.

We had a two night stay and found the flat spotless, well equipped and comfortable. The only negative was the heating system- we couldn’t find the instructions as stated but managed to get the heating on, however, it was February and freezing, the main room had two radiators that got up to temperature but the room was still cold and therefore uncomfortable to use. The hall and bedrooms were too hot! As an observation the main bathroom would benefit from a shower facility, and main room a nest of tables for drinks glasses. Overall, despite the heating, the stay was very enjoyable, the flat was very clean with all mod cons and the beds were very comfortable.

Positive: Plenty of space for three adults not to feel like we were falling over each other. Parking was useful and the sea view was nice. Negative: Lack of kitchen cupboard space. If you self cater there is little space to put your food. Also no complimentary tea and coffee. Had to wait until we had unloaded the car to have a cuppa

I had a great stay at the Beach Pad. The location was perfect (right on the beach and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions). The parking space was very useful especially as parking in the area gets busy during peak times. The apartment was clean, modern and had everything we needed. The only small niggle was the complimentary tea and coffee was empty when we arrived - although we loved the chocolate and wine on arrival! Would stay again.

Exceptional! Positive: When we arrived at the apartment, the check in process was easy. Heaters were on, (this was appreciated after driving through snow to arrive)there was a welcome gift and the apartment had a welcoming feel. It is beautifully decorated and has ocean views. We immediately felt at ease as everything we needed for our stay was provided. The apartment was spotlessly clean and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Negative: Leaving - short stay but will return.

Overall a fair experience due to the issues described. But the apartment was well located in West Cliff with views of th Positive: Great location with private parking. Comfortable bed, spacious room. Negative: A couple of issues in the apartment with kitchen cupboard doors not closing properly and the main patio door in the living room wasn’t properly shut, the handle was broken so needed replacing. The stormy weather we experienced meant the wind and rain was coming in through the bottom of the patio door, making the living room cold and rain water pooling on the floor. There was also an unpleasant drain smell in the on-suite bathroom. All of these issues were reported to the management team who responded timely.

The accommodation is in an ideal spot only 10 mins walk from the the harbour and has parking at the rear which is nicely hidden from view. The apartment was spotless and comfortable and I would happily stay there again.

Accommodation in a very good location. Short walk into the town centre either via the Whale Bones and Kyber Pass or Skinner Street. Off street parking in a shared car park with other residents. Apartment building has a lift. Nice large open plan living area. Kitchen well equipped including dishwasher and washing machine. The only shower is in the ensuite room. Not a big issue, but a minor inconvenience. I used to live in Whitby and my family still do. I would choose this apartment to stay in again.

A great place to relax and enjoy Whitby Positive: Extremely clean and well considered. It was comfortable, warm and in a great location. Negative: Very little! The toilet seats were a little wobbly and I would have loved a throw. This are minor quibbles as I can’t think of anything major! Loved it.

Loved the apartment but the lack of a shower over the bath was a problem. Positive: Modern, spacious, clean. Lovely well stocked kitchen nice big comfy sofas. Large tv and good dining area. The on-suite bathroom was excellent with a great walk in shower. Good views of the sea. Negative: The large main bedroom could have had a dressing table and mirror for the ladies to sit and dry their hair and makeup. The smaller bedroom needs a clothes rack to hang clothes. The second bathroom has no shower which we found strange. A bath needs far more hot water and is time consuming. Our friends had to shower in our room which defeats the object of having 2 bathrooms which we always look for.

Loved the apartment except for no info on opening patio doors working the boiler security and the Positive: Location very good but workmen renovating next door wasn’t very good Negative: There was no information how to work appliances and security and we couldn’t open the patio doors. Tried texting and ringing but nobody to speak to just a download of advice that wasn’t applicable

Relaxing Positive: Everything it’s absolutely spot on Negative: We’ve been twice now and the place is immaculate but the exterior windows are always really filthy. So bad you can hardly see the sea view. We actually cleaned a window so see out and it was so much better.
