Positive: The apartment was in a central location very close to all amenities like shops, pubs, cafes and public transport links . It was clean ,well furnished in a style suitable for a holiday let ( modern bright and airy). Good stacked kitchen with everything you need although we brought lots of our own stuff with us as a Christmas break and did not want to be left without ( was not needed as lots of cleaning materials, utensils, etc).Wifi was good and managed to work out heating and t.v which had freeview channels. Good communication with staff over stay as needed.Hot shower, comfy bed and quiet neighborhood. Negative: Hidden extras in pricing as damage waiver/ insurance and being able to check in earlier than 4 p.m had additional fees. I do think this new check in time of 4 p.m is very unfair as a day is gone . The additional fees should be included in stated price so you know everything is covered you have the insurance and can check in from 2 p.m. Other lets include insurance and you can park before check in at no extra cost. Front door to building don't lock from outside ( keys don't work as lock damage)and from reviews seems to be an issue and risk of being locked out if another resident locks door from inside.as latch hooks into frame on inside only.

A lovely home away from home within 10 minutes walk of Whitby centre. Positive: The property was modern, clean, comfortable, very roomy, and the Christmas tree and tasteful decorations were a lovely touch (including stockings on the bedroom doors!) First-floor flat, so only two short sets of stairs to climb for this one and everything was provided: clean towels, clean bedding, body wash/soap, all the appliances you would need including tea/coffee/sugar and even a Nespresso coffee machine and washing machine, which we didn't use, but nice to have the option. The only thing we didn't have was a washcloth/sponge to wash dishes (we bought one quite cheaply), but there is a dishwasher in the apartment with a couple of tablets if you were eating in a lot, we didn't use this as we ate out most of the time. An EE Freeview box was available to watch with the option to sign into your Netflix account as well. Bedrooms were comfy and clean with plenty of space to hang clothes. Hosts were very helpful, and they got back to me very quickly via messages when I was confused about which building we were in, and when I was worried about the car parking space being small. The parking space is fine as long as you take your time when parking, as it is a little snug (I had a Vauxhall Mokka and didn't have too much of a problem). Very easy 10-minute walk into Whitby centre which was ideal. Would definitely book again! Negative: It was hard to get the apartment to a comfortable temperature, especially the bedrooms, which didn't feel quite warm enough. Although the thermostat in the living/dining area was reading 19 degrees, it just didn't feel that warm. However, we didn't feel too cold either, and for some reason, the bathroom was always the warmest room in the apartment! The frying pan had seen better days. We didn't use it, but if you like a fry-up in the morning, maybe take your own!

Positive: It was close to everything and modern. Negative: Nothing wrong with the property at all, mayb get a pack of playing cards and pick up a few board games and extra blankets. My issue was not hearing about the extra £29 waiver that “you can add” but actually have to unless you’ve got a spare couple a hundred quid. I’ll not be booking anything connected to Host and Stay again. A shame as the apartment is ideal.

We had a lovely stay at this lovely, clean and comfortable apartment with the bonus of having a parking space . It is a short walk into the town centre where you will find a choice of restaurants and bars

Fantastic and would recommend Positive: Great location and everything on one level. Very spacious and contains everything you need to make the stay enjoyable. Even has its own parking space. Negative: Wine bottle opener didn’t work.

perfect stay in whitby - 100% will be booking for next year ! Positive: the apartment was perfect ! location , comfort , everything ! we loved staying there . immaculately clean . Negative: The directions to find the apartment , we found confusing . However we eventually found it . We did contact the service number , for assistance . The building to the apartment , was round the corner from the parking .

Positive: We stayed for 2 nights at this beautiful, spacious and comfortable apartment. Everything was provided that you could need, including the added bonus of a parking space, and all within a 5 minute walk yo the bus/train station and only a 10 minute walk into Whitby old town and then only another 5 until the 199 steps that lead to the Abbey. Perfect for an adult or family with older children. Negative: No negatives..

Best apartment in Whitby! Positive: Everything! It’s well equipped just like any home. I would love to stay here again next time. Wifi is fast. There’s sky TV. Beds are comfortable. The owner is patient and responsive to our queries. There’s covered parking allocated to the apartment.

Positive: It was close to amenities and was clean with modern furnishings and very comfortable and quiet. Negative: The parking was a struggle as we had a Campervan. We messaged to ask about the recycling as none of the keys fit the bin store but didn't get a reply. Would have been good to have hooks behind the bedroom doors to hang dressing gowns. If we visit again in summer we'd prefer a property with some outdoor space but it was a nice relaxing break in March to Celebrate my husband's birthday.

A brilliant stay in a great apartment. We would book it again! Positive: A superb apartment - very modern with great facilities. The kitchen was lovely and the flat felt very spacious. Ideally located and the car parking space is a bonus. Negative: Nothing - although I would have felt better if the main door to the block had done sort of lock/ security.

Lovely place to stay. Parking space is snug but parking in Whitby is challenging and expensive. We parked the car and did not move it until we checked out, as everything was walkable.

Positive: The location was excellent and the apartment was comfortable and spacious. The facilities were excellent, with plenty of towels for the weekend. Negative: The parking space was very tight and if you have a large car it's a challenge.

Great central location. The only negative was the car parking space was very tight.

Positive: Everything was clean and well presented and in a great location Negative: There was nothing we did not like. Although we would recommend advising customers on the size of the parking space. We have a big car and was tricky to get in the allocated parking space.

Positive: We arrived to access the key from the key safe, which was fine. Unfortunately the key wouldn’t open the exterior door , which lead to 4 apartments. We called booking.com and they said they’d get back to us. Half an hour later they called and requested we went for a drink. We had to repack our cases in the car and then went for a drink.Eventually we were told that a lock smith would come in an hour or so. The locksmith told us he’d been out to this property a month earlier for the same problem. We got into the property 3 hours later. We’ve waited 6 weeks for this to be resolved - nothing !!

It was ok, but I wouldn't stay again Positive: The property was in a great location and had everything that you would need such as towels, kitchen utensils and WiFi. The apartment was a good size and had free parking. Negative: The cleanliness was definitely not up to my standard. There was dirty utensils, hairs in the bath, dirt on the tiles and around the rim of the toilet and it looked like it hadn't been dusted in a long time. The carpet looked like it could do with a clean too. There was also a big mark on the bedding which was conveniently covered with the towels that they had provided. Host and stay took an unauthorised payment from my account after I had paid for an extra night and I was passed about trying to chase a refund for weeks. Check in was late in my opinion for the amount of money you're paying each night. I asked if we could use the parking but not check in until 4pm, so we could leave our bags and enjoy our day. I was then told that unfortunatley the parking would be in use. That was fine but then I got a call offering me to check in at 11pm for an extra £40 which felt very dishonest. We travel a lot and most hosts go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay, it didn't feel like that here.

Great location, a short walk to museum and hop on bus. Positive: Very good location with parking (a bit tight). Host communicated well. Cleaning to a good standard and very well equipped (not many have salt and pepper)! Negative: Hand soap in the bathroom would have been good.
