Fantastic Positive: I loved the master bedroom, also the secure garden area for my dogs Negative: The tv stopped working after a day in the main living room. We managed to still have a nice time but would have preferred to have been able to watch a film or two.

We enjoyed ourselves so much at Badgers Cottage in Brotton. We come to the Saltburn-by-the-Sea area every year and this is the best property we’ve stayed in. So much so that we’ve booked for next year. It suited all of our family members down to the ground - 3 generations and a dog. A great location, wonderful property and a seamless experience. Very much recommended. Thank you.

Honestly can’t fault this place. It was super clean and very well equipped. The garden was perfect for keeping the dogs safe and happy and the hot tub was so nice. We had some issues with the tv in the living room not really working but it didn’t affect the enjoyment of the stay. We would absolutely love to come back to visit. It is just a 6 minute drive to Saltburn and it is a really great location.

Beautiful cottage, comfortable and spotlessly clean with amenities to cover everything. Our dogs absolutely loved the garden and the field behind was perfect for walks. Home from home with lots of lovely places to visit close by and really good food in the Queens arms on the doorstep. Would definitely recommend this cottage for a relaxing getaway. Hope to be back again soon .

Absolutely stunning house. Ideal location for getting into Stainburn or Whitby. Large enclosed garden ideal for our dog. Really well equipped and a lovely hot tub to relax in. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back.

Just returned from a lovely weekend break at Badger Cottage. House is in a great location, was very clean and well equipped with everything you could need for your break. We really appreciated the welcome pack with bread, milk, cakes, etc… Thank you! 🙂 The beds were comfy, and it was super quiet and peaceful at night. We loved the hot tub, and again, the outside area was spotlessly clean and very private. The garden was secure and perfect for our dogs. The only negative was the shower bracket in the en-suite, as it was loose and made it a little difficult to shower properly because it kept slipping. Otherwise, it was the perfect place to stay and I would not hesitate to return, or to recommend to others planning a visit to this area. It was also our first visit to Saltburn by the Sea, and was very impressed!! A great weekend overall.

Cottage is lovely. Very clean, the place is as you see in the pictures. Hot tub was great. Great enclosed garden for our dog which was fab and parking just outside. We were a little surprised that the cottage was attached to a property that people live in, we thought it was detached but perhaps we missed this when booking. Either way, didn't cause an issue as the neighbours were very quiet and you can hear them in the property. We had some issues with the heating and WiFi during our stay. Host and Stay were difficult to communicate with and didn't read what some of our messages actually said, just responded with auto messages! However, the actual owner was excellent and attended the property twice to fix the heating and WiFi. He was there within minutes once notified and couldn't have been nicer. Can't fault him! Would stay again!

Lovely accomodation and a great location close to a good pub dog walking field to the rear and garden feels private and secluded. Bus available from the main road to Saltburn if you want to avoid the busy car parks

Had a really nice and relaxing stay. The hot tub was delightful and the local restaurants were great too. The pub was most definitely a hit for a gorgeous meal. Overall we enjoyed the stay and the accommodation was clean, however, some of the furnishings really needed either some work done or replacing. For the price we paid I’d have expected regular maintenance to be carried out. There was plenty of room for both of our dogs and considering the property was semi-detached it was extremely peaceful. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!

Lovely Airbnb, photos and descriptions matched online and the hot tub was fab, would benefit from a cover over the towels by the hot tub, to allow for the rain. Lovely welcome pack which helped set us up Pub at the bottom of the drive served amazing food and Marske and Saltburn beaches where lovely. Bedrooms super spacious and could easily take larger beds to make the stay extra luxurious. Lovely that towels where provided for the hot tub but we struggled to dry them, lots of towels and bowls provided for the puppies.

A really lovely house the hot tub is AMAZING especially at night with a clear sky the stars were stunning! Garden is great if you have a dog nice and secure with also the beach and park nearby! Beds were really comfortable and lots of towels available. The washing machine was also very handy to have! Overall good value for money and good communication with host!

Out of the way from crowds which was ideal. The hot tub a hit as was the outdoor seating area. Positive: On a busy bank holiday catch the number 4x outside Queens arms to Sandburn as parking can be a nightmare and just a twenty min bus journey. The cottage was very practical for a family being open plan and grandparents could escape upstairs for quiet time ;). The welcome pack was great and to just get that first cup of tea whilst sorting out was fab. The Host Charlie was available when we text her and super prompt actioning a new tin opener. Negative: The Host sorted the settee leg that needed re screwing, I would say to the owners a new settee is required, one that is more robust for families, as you do need three people to sit on it with being a 3 bedroom cottage. Report any issues as sometimes the cleaner may not pick up on any snags. We would book again if in the area as we came up for a wedding.

Had a great stay here with my family. The cottage was clean, well equipped, spacious, and the private garden was great for us and the dogs. It’s a 5 minute drive into Saltburn-on-the-Sea too which is perfect.

Lovely family break & location ideal. Positive: Stayed 2 yrs ago for family holiday & same this time. Very good layout clean Negative: Minor issues please check cutlery only 6 forks & few spare would be useful or tongs for cooking/grilling. Prefer liquid hand soap than small bar soap. No basic kitchen roll or cling film & some airtight containers for storage

Fantastic few days away, great outdoor space for the dog it was peaceful, quiet and very clean. Lots to do at salt-burn by the sea & Whitby. The hot tub was a fantastic touch to relax in the evenings when the children were asleep. Would stay again, highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at Badgers cottage and hope to return again if we are back up that way. We came with our two year old and reactive dog. It is very hard to find properties that suit our dog but this was perfect. The enclosed garden also blocked view of anything that might set him off. The garden was such a good size and it was just a shame we couldn't make the best our of it because of the weather. The hot tub was great, easy to use and felt very private. The accommodation as a whole was decorated lovely, very clean, modern and open. I have no doubt if it was at capacity of guests they would all fit comfortably. Location was brilliant and central to lots of areas of interest. Spa and pub just a walk away which was perfect

We all enjoyed our stay. There was 4 generations on our little break away & the accommodation worked well. It was comfortable, tastefully decorated & spacious. Everything was sparkly clean on our arrival & there was a welcome pack of essentials too. The hottub is private & not overlooked so a real bonus & we had a dog with us so the secure garden was perfect & the park just behind tbe property was ideal for morning walks. As we were a 4 generation family it was great to have TV in each bedroom so at certain times everyone could watch their favourite programme when needed. We visited Sandsend & can highly recommended Fish Cottage for a meal, eating inside or out & The Tiger Inn at Easington do a lovely meal too with a varied menu. We would very much recommended this property & would visit again.

Fantastic cottage just outside fabulous Saltburn. Positive: Spacious, well appointed property. Second visit for our family and will return. Fabulous! Negative: Nothing- even the weather was wonderful!

Excellent week away. Go out and enjoy. Positive: Very spacious for 4 adults and 2 kids. Great location especially when bus is £2 and at front of property. Goes whitby and middlesborough. Neighbours dog pebbles loves a good morning scratch. Negative: Heads up extremely thin walls. Can hear everything that happens from any room in the house. But only from the occupants inside. Neighbours are like ghosts, seen in fleeting moments and can not be heard.

Family time away Positive: Very easy to find, homely vibes. The welcome pack was unexpected but very thoughtful. Very comfortable beds. Loved the layout and the secure garden was big enough for my dogs for a run around and playtime. The hot tub was a bonus. The seating area in the garden was lovely to sit out and enjoy the warm weather on. Negative: The lino in the seating area by the doors expanded in the sun so lifted up slightly, that would need sorting as could be a trip hazard. Thankfully me and my family popped the doormat on top so not to walk on it.

Great base for exploring the area Positive: Lovely quiet cottage with lots of space and a nice secluded garden. Hot tub was a nice touch, kitchen was well equipped and was great to have decent TVs in all the rooms. Made for a great base to explore the area - we liked Saltburn-on-Sea which with its Saturday market had lots of character. Food in the pub at the bottom on the garden was excellent. Negative: Such a shame that there was no garden furniture to go with the patio so that we could sit out in the sunshine and keep an eye on the children in the hot tub.

We had a wonderful visit and the whole family loved this place. We’d highly recommend. Positive: It was a real home from home with everything we could need. Incredibly clean and the arrival care package was fantastic. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding coastline.

We spent a long weekend here to celebrate my mum’s birthday and we’re very satisfied with the bungalow, it has more than enough space for 6 people and a dog and the hot tub was a really nice feature. The layout, design and decor of the place was really nice and modern we will definitely be booking again! Thank you xx

Beautiful accommodation that felt like a home away from home! Had everything we needed and even little cute welcome package with some goodies for both humans and dogs! There were 3 couples all with 2 little dogs each and we often find it hard to accommodate us, so a big THANK YOU for that!!!! The hot tub was extremely private and perfect for an evening of relaxing after long days! The cottage is tucked away down a private lane behind a pub and is the perfect location for visiting the north east coastline! Definitely would recommend to anyone and hope to go again in the future!!! ☺️

Positive: Location was lovely. Great pub at the front. Didnt get any noise or disturbance from it though as tucked away. Kitchen facilities great. All you could need. Hot tub was amazing. Walks from house were great...pretty much straight to cleveland way Negative: Only negative was hot tub noise when sleeping but other guests werent affected by it...just myself

Positive: Lovely quiet location, very private, very clean, great cooking facilities, enclosed garden great for kids and dog, good wifi, we enjoyed out stay so much and would definitely stay again. Location was excellent for lots of days out. Negative: Only recommendation we have would be not to have a glass dining table or glass coffee table, they look great but not ideal especially when you have children. We had a slight issue with the hot tub, it was dealt with quickly but would have been better if we could have had maximum use of it.

A perfect family getaway! Positive: Above and beyond what we expected. Great location, nice and quiet with a pub next door and shops within a two minute walk. Everything was clean and comfortable, and all cutlery and crockery etc. was to a very high standard. Better than it looks on the photos (and they're good!) Hot tub and outside area just perfect...we'll be back! Negative: Disappointed that the extra day we'd been offered at a discounted price (twice) and that we'd paid for before our stay, was taken from us in the middle of our break and not refunded until two weeks later. Had to change our plans for the last two days and were out of pocket in the process. This does not take the shine off our experience of the place itself, which was 10/10, just a shame where children are involved to have to take the extra night away at such short notice. Not sure that should be allowed. All resolved now. Do visit if you get chance, maybe ignore the emails about extra discounted nights!

I would recommend to anyone.only a short drive to supermarkets or a short walk to a spar. Quiet and pleasant stay . Positive: Nice clean house, well represented. Family & dog friendly with a park behind for dog walks.

The house was clean, fresh and had every amenity needed. We love space and this Air BnB had it both inside and outside in abundance. A real bonus was the outdoor area where you could sit and relax with the sun on your face at any point in the day. It was marvellous. The hot tub was huge. All too often they are dubbed ‘4 persons’ but then you can’t move but this one had yet again space to spare. The neighbouring pub did an amazing ‘Parmo’ and at just a five minute drive from Saltburn it really was perfect holiday home. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Sunday lunch there was gorgeous Negative: The sofas were a little uncomfortable and the bedding in the upstairs room anyway needs replacing as it has got to the bobble stage from washing so much which is to he expected but it's a pet hate of mine so others maybe.wouldn't mind.

Gorgeous place to stay, we loved every minute. Only slight downfall was that the outside lights around the hot tub wouldn’t turn on and no one got back in touch with me. Otherwise we had a great stay and loved how close we were to other pubs and the nearest town. House was gorgeous

Badgers Den Positive: Lovely quiet location, very good layout & facilities, gorgeous hot tub. Brotton and the cottage gave easy access to Saltburn, Whitby & other towns. As well as local shops & a lovely pub. Negative: Nothing - except the great British summer weather 🌧

We enjoyed our stay and the house was very nice. The house has been decorated to a high standard but there is some small aspects of wear and tear such as the floor in the on suite and the wallpaper beginning to curl in the bedroom. The front door was also difficult to lock at times. The hot tub is a great addition and we enjoyed this a lot. I’m unsure if it advertises that this can not be used past 10pm due to the neighbours. This was not an issue for us but I can see that it may be for others. The hosts communication was great and there was recommendations for local things to do and places to eat. Please do try the pub at the end of the drive… the Queens arms. The food is absolutely delicious and all home cooked and in great portion sizes. The staff can not do enough for you. All in all, a very pleasant stay. We would definitely return. Thank you 😊

Lovely stay.

nice clean property and pub at end of drive serves nice food and friendly. Shared bin store is discusting, the property is semi detached, wasnt told this and the attached property is not well kept (car on bricks in garden, clutter everywhere). Hottub is located right up against next doors fence. The property is also next to a play park/field, doesnt show any of this in the description. Good location for getting to all the local beaches but would not pay this much to stay in this property again due to the negatives listed above.

Fantastic place - immaculate, modern and extremely comfortable. We all used the hot tub which was great. Towels and spa slippers were provided. Everything we could have wished for was provided. Will definitely book again. Your attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. We are very fussy and couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you Helen

We really enjoyed our stay here, the facilities were really good and the rooms clean and to a high specification. The house is ideally located for Saltburn, Whitby and beyond, and with added convenience of a pub in less than 1 minutes walk and a number of takeaway outlets within 5 minutes walk. Really lovely place to stay! Very clean, newly renovated and private location. The hot tub was a good size and although we had a slight issue with it, the owner came out to fix it very quickly. The outside area was great to relax in and the inside open plan kitchen/lounge area was great for when it got a bit too cold to be outside.
