It truly felt like a home away from home. The cozy bedroom for our little one made her feel settled and happy from the moment we arrived. We were all sad to leave, and we’ll definitely be booking here again.

Loved Anvil Cottage! Positive: Very comfortable cottage with everything you need. Some supplies in kitchen cupboards, soaps etc in the bathroom, games, dvds and a nice selection of books to read. The flat was very clean and beds comfy. Loved the bird-inspired decor! The cottage was also very quiet and right near a bus stop for York. Beautiful old buildings, fab shops and a wonderful bakery on Kirkbymoorside high street, and some beautiful walks around the village. All round a super stay. Highly recommend! Negative: I have no negative comments to make - all good!

Lovely second stay at this wonderful market town of Kirkbymoorside. First time since new owners took over. The house was exactly how it was from our first stay… few things have changed and most notably would take your own fire stick or other device for using Netflix etc… so would be good to make more clear on amenities section. Milk sachet’s left, and coffee and tea. Shampoo are small little packet type single use and individual hand soap. Dishwasher tablets left and a couple of bin bags to start you off if staying a little longer. The house can get cold quite quickly and had to check in with host to turn up the heating. The thermometer is not on the shelf in the hallway but outside on the wall near the bathroom… Bedding clean and fresh and nice towels. Doggy bag with bowls in the cupboard and towels. Overall a lovely stay in a great little cottage and wonderful town. There is now a mobile chippy can that comes to the market place on a Saturday at 6.30…. Amazing!!!!

We had a great few days at Anvil Cottage. The property was cosy, very comfortable and well equipped. Quiet, private location. Near to a good selection of shops, pubs and cafes. Great park just around the corner and not far to plenty of interesting places/days out.

Delightful place. Super clean. Beautifully colour co-ordinated in all the rooms. Loads of amenities. Good comfortable beds. Easy on street parking. Just lovely all round.

The cottage was just as described, very comfy and clean. Perfect location and very quiet. I had realised there is no garden by the pictures but was surprised to find it was on street parking. This actually was better than expected as there were always spaces nearby and no charge for parking.

On my list when I come to the area again Positive: Very comfortable, clean and homely. Great location in lovely little town

Stay went well, no real problems. Would have been good to have had a through draft in very hot weather.

A1 - first class accommodation Positive: Accommodation was absolutely superb. Cleanliness fantastic , everything you could possibly need and location just set back from main road meant zero road noise or disturbance. Cannot be faulted👍 Negative: Nothing

We had a great stay at Dales place. It's in a great location being so close to shops, cafes and pubs etc. There's some fantastic walks really close by too. The cottage is clean, nicely furnished and the kitchen had every utensil you could possibly want. We look forward to staying again.

Anvil Cottage was in a great location for us. Locality has everything you need from pub to supermarket. Cottage is clean and in great order. Only thing to remember is you can’t park at the property but you can on the nearby road subject to how busy it is. We didn’t have a problem

Had a great stay at Anvil Cottage. Very homely, clean and comfortable. This was our 2nd stay and it was just as enjoyable. Good pubs and shops very close by and just a short drive to nearby towns.
