A great stay. The house is large, spacious and well maintained. It suited our party of 12 well. The house was clean and modern. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pans, plates etc. All of the bedrooms had a lot of room and the beds were comfy. There are enough bathrooms for everyone. There is lots to do within walking distance, it's in a good location. The only downside for us was the parking. For 12 guests we were only given 1 parking pass and we had 3 cars between us. Would recommend this place and we would return here.

Great location, perfect for large party. Positive: Great location. House was a perfect size for our group. Living space comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Hot tub was a great feature. Negative: Had to clean the cupboards before putting our groceries in; we're by no means clean freaks, but there were crumbs/sticky marks. Outside bin was nearly full on arrival, so ended up having to find somewhere to put our full bin bags as we were a large party. Bin man came on the Thursday morning (we left on Friday) Three of the beds need replacing as sagging, one had broken slats. All minor points.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Allium House and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Positive: The house was perfect for our large group. The bedrooms were all a really good size and nicely furnished. The availability of a family room was a huge advantage and added to the flexibility of the accommodation. The dining/kitchen area with large table and small sofa provided a great entertaining area which we spent most of our time in. Although we didn’t feel the need to use it much the living room had ample seating - 3 sofas - and was a comfortable space. The configuration of bathroom, shower rooms and toilets was perfect which is not often the case when catering for a large group. You couldn’t get a better location. It was in a lovely quiet street yet only a few minutes walk from the beach, the harbour, cafes, bars etc. Negative: The property advertises a BBQ which we were unable to use. It obviously hadn’t been used for some time and hadn’t been cleaned by previous guests. It was full of old ashes and the grill was encrusted with the remains of food. We would have needed to purchase scouring pads and cleaning agents not available in the property but this wasn’t something we wanted to do whilst on holiday. The BBQ should either be checked and cleaned by the housekeeping team or removed from the facility listings. We couldn’t find any oven gloves so we were required to use the only tea towel provided which wasn’t very safe.

We had such a lovely time. It comfortably fits 12 people and I’d say it was even nicer than the photos. The hot tub was ready for us when we got there which topped off the whole stay.

Excellent property in the heart of Whitby Beautiful property, very clean and well equipped. Its location is perfect for exploring Whitby, would highly recommend for large groups looking for a base.

A lovely house with plenty space and bathroom facilities for our family party of 9 people. Well equipped kitchen. The hot tub was very popular. Good location, within easy walking distance of the beach, park, museum and shops. A quiet street.

Lovely property but unfortunately not providing parking as stated spolied our stay Positive: Location was great. Property was lovely and exactly what we needed for our family short break. Negative: No parking permits were provided upon arrival. We were advised this would be rectified. We only had a two night stay and had to spend both days messaging and calling to try and get the parking situation sorted. Whitby is notoriously hard to park and having to constantly worry about the parking spoiled our stay somewhat. Parking permits were eventually provided at 7pm the night before we checked out which at that point were no use to us.

We had a wonderful time at the house. Had the full family there and there was more than enough room for us all. Well kitted out kitchen with enough cutlery, plates & glasses. Lots of board games. TV in the living room has no aerial but access to Netflix & YouTube. Hot tub was clean, warm & ready when we got there. Fairly steep walk back up from town but more than manageable. Can’t wait to come back 😁 Many Thanks Tom

A really fab holiday house in a great location. It has everything you need for a short stay and was well presented and spacious enough for a big group. We’re already thinking about re-booking.

We have had a great time for our yearly get together! Every pub we went to everyone was lovely & friendly. Will definitely be back. House was beautiful.

Everyone had a great time and would book again on our next visit to Whitby Positive: Location is second to none for both the town and the Beaches. Good car park near by for any extra vehicles. House was spotless and ideal for our group. Enough beds to bathrooms. Negative: nothing, no complaints at all.

We travelled from Devon to Whitby to meet family who all stayed here. It was great. The location is perfect as it’s a short walk to the harbour front and a car park not very far. The rooms are very spacious and the beds really comfortable. Loved the little touches like clean towels for everyone and complimentary shower gels, shampoo and soaps.

Definitely not luxurious with wall paper missing and painted over and patched up with different wall paper also. Needs so TLC on paintwork and sofa in the back room had stains. The outside lighting was a joke about 20 solar lights and only one working and the actual light outside was a bright as a match. For what we paid there is definitely better out there . We booked for 6 days over Christmas and was given a two day parking permit which is only for one car so everyone else staying had to park elsewhere and to get the additional permits after a call to AirBNB and numerous messages finally arrived. The bed in front 1st floor slates on the bed were missing thankfully at the bottom of the bed. Also a stay for six night and given a “starter pack” of 2 bin bags 2 dishwasher tabs and 1 toilet roll per bathroom found for the money paid a poor service. We had to clean the washing machine as it was filthy in the draw. The property needs some renovation and better care on cleaning.

Good location and adequate sleeping space for 12 people but cleaning team seriously let the property down. Positive: Well decorated Negative: Kitchen too small for a group of 12; ditto small hot tub not suitable for 12. Biggest issue was lack of cleanliness. Large Cobwebs in several places; shower room extractor fans completely bunged up with dust and dirt, shower tiles and grout needed a good scrub. Dishwasher not working and bottom full of greasy smelly water. Informed company early on in stay and they did not resolve this during our stay. Official complaint completed but has not been acted on. One of our party left behind glasses; company gave not been able to find them.

The location of the air bnb was great. Walkable and easy to find. There was plenty of space and we were happy with the size of the rooms. We were disappointed that the checking in and out times weren’t flexible, without an extra fee. We also thought that we received too many messages from the host about extra charges. No flexibility on extra car permit. The house was nice, but could do with extra tlc.

Cosy and comfortable, lovely memories. Positive: We absolutely loved the hot tub! Everything was super clean which was a bonus and the location was fabulous. Negative: Nothing it was great all round.

A really gorgeous, well maintained property in a great location. Bedrooms were spacious and beds comfy. All the attractions were within easy walking distance. The hottub was a highlight. Hosts communication was friendly and consistent throughout. The downsides were only one parking space provided for a house that fits 12 guests. Also there was no flexibility on check in/check out times without paying extra. For the amount we paid I feel they could have been more accommodating in this regard. But overall a good stay.

This is a great property, I would highly recommend. We stayed on a family trip, 9 adults and two children. The property is comfortable and spacious with plenty of kitchen essentials. The location is great, just a short into the town. Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The house was spacious, lovely and clean, and the location was perfect. The hosts were also very fast at responding to any queries we had too which was helpful. We’d love to stay here again.

Great Location Positive: Location was great , comfortable, very well equipped Negative: Downside was smart tvs , parking (other residents inconsideration ) the hallway lamp didn’t work .

Unclean Negative: The property was filthy. The carpets and floors had not been cleaned, the side tables and crockery not clean, the sofas were dirty, the garden bench was broken and the response from the host really poor. After checking in I had to go into town to buy cleaning products to clean the property it was that bad. Great location. Would not recommend and would not stay again.

Had a brilliant stay in Whitby, the house was perfect for a group trip away. The house was clean and accurate to the description. The location was brilliant as everything was in walking distance. Would definitely recommend

This was a great house for a stay for a large group of people. Generally clean and well equipped. Parking is limited in the street and the parking permit provided is only for one vehicle for the duration of your stay. With accommodation for such a large group this does not cater for all parties and therefore alternative parking is required at extra cost.

Positive: The house was beautiful and well dressed. Negative: The house was very clean the bedrooms were very clean and bathrooms but under the sofas chairs carpets needed a good wipe/mop/ hoover. The freezer was over frozen and the door wouldn't close when reported and was told to turn the fridge freezer off to defrost it. That's not the best answer!!! It took us two hours to defrost and clean it so we could have it turned on. The kitchen table still had butter on from others who ever used it before us. Honestly our stay was lovely it was just the few bits that could have been better. We did enjoy it.

Thought they would be emailed at one point? key code should be given first thing in the morning not 4 hours before checkin??

We loved our stay at this property, it is a lovely house and the hot tub was well maintained. They had a good stock of the "essentials" - toilet roll, dishwasher tabs, toiletries etc. which not all airbnbs provide - thank you so much for the stay!

Nice accommodation, easy to find. Little to no parking. When we turned up and exploring the house and garden I found 3 piles of dog mess from the previous guests. Also found some McDonald’s like chips in the bathroom just on the floor, also rubbish around the hot tub. Very poor cleaning for an expensive accommodation

Great location in a nice area,parking was difficult but got spaces where we were recommended,lovely house everyone of us was impressed,and the jacuzzi was fantastic,highly recommend this house.

We had a great stay at Allium house. There were plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a social living room. We didn't take a car but there was space outside the house for one and a parking permit was left for us. A short walk down the street and there are plenty of shops and a good pub called the granby where we went for a good breakfast one morning. It's around a 10 minute walk down to the harbour. We have already said we would love to book again!

The house was nice and well equipped. We had an issue with no parking permits being left. Upon arrival I spoke to someone and I have since spoken to the same person several times but still awaiting a response. No parking permits were provided as advised, I was then told they would refund the cost of parking, only to be told the next day this would not be the case. Parking in Whitby is a bit of a nightmare and expensive, so being told a parking permit would be provided was one of the reasons we picked the property. I am quite disappointed with the lack of response from my several emails.
