Weekend Break Positive: Location was ideal, 15 min walk into Whitby. The area the house is situation was blissfully quiet. The surrounding view is lovely. There is an allotment with chickens to the rear of the house which you can hear in the morning but no big deal. The house has all the amenities you need, it was very comfortable and clean. Check in was easy and clear Negative: Nothing to fault.

Beautiful home & will return! Positive: Location was brilliant! The area was incredibly peaceful. The only thing heard were the chickens in the allotment to the rear of the garden about 6:30-7 in the morning (Cant be heard from front bedroom) but not a major issue. The house was spotlessly clean and lovely. The kitchen had everything you'd nice, beds were comfy and the view across the fields was beautiful. The walk into Whitby was 15 mins (ish) and you can take a path which leads you to the abbey and 199 steps. Communication for check in/check out was seamless. Negative: Nothing to fault.

Fantastic accomodation that’s very close and walkable to local attractions. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area. Thanks for hosting us!

Positive: We liked everything about abbey view lovely and clean comfortable all you needed was provided home from home will definitely be going back Negative: There wasn't anything to dislike just be handy to have some kind of rail to help older guests to get in and out of the shower that is over the bath

A beautiful place to stay a short walk from the Abbey. Walkable into town The place is brand new and super clean. It's a very quiet neighborhood (apart from the cockerel - but we knew about him before arriving). Just a lovely place to spend some time with family. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend

Lovely stay Positive: We had a fabulous stay at Abbey View House. A real home away from home, so comfortable and spotless. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Negative: Only a small issue but there were only 4 chairs for the dining table, but there were 5 of us and the house accommodates 6 guests.

Thanks so much for a wonderful stay the cottage was a pristine new build. Immaculately looked after with a really useful garden area. It was lovely and peaceful for us with 3 children but easily located to get into Whitby via either a lovely little park area or down the 199 steps which the kids enjoyed racing up every night. We enjoyed lots of lovely restaurants in Whitby and days out to the Robinhoods bay, Alpamere and the Yorkshire water park a great day on the inflatable course for all the family. Would highly recommend staying here we will be back many thanks xx

Excellent overall, great location, would stay again. Positive: Property was in a great location. Just a short walk to the Abbey or town. It was to a good standard, very clean and comfortable with great quality furniture and appliances. I was there with my wife, her parents and two kids and we all had a great stay. It's in a very peaceful spot that backs onto some allotments where there is some chickens and a rooster a little further away who crows in the morning but this didn't bother us at all, in fact we quite liked it. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Negative: There was nothing I didn't like about our stay but if I were to make a suggestion (not a criticism) I would say please leave the WiFi information printed somewhere as for our stay we got an email saying to download some documents before arriving (which I forgot to do) that have the WiFi information. Problem was I have a foreign sim card so couldn't download the file when I arrived because I had no Internet. I did however find the router after some searching and was able to get the login from that so all was good in the end.

Perfect modern house for groups or families! Positive: Beautiful, new, three bedroom house with all the amenities. Fully functional kitchen was great for cooking our own meals and there was a little backyard for kids to run around. Negative: Nothing, everything was great.

Nice quiet place. Location is great. We drove few min and parked free to go the abbey, cliff and steps.

Brilliant. Positive: This is a great property in a great location. It is a 15 minute walk to Whitby Abbey and a 15 minute walk into town in the other direction or you can do a loop which we did on our first day and take in all of Whitby. It really is a lovely place. Abbey view house is very comfortable, lovely sofas and comfortable bed and everything seems new. Parking was nice and easy with your own drive. Great communication with host and stay too. Negative: No wall mirrors in the bedrooms but only a minor issue.

Positive: It was a lovely house ,spotlessly clean ,and was filled with lots of little touches to make the stay home from home ,will definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends

Fantastic place in Whitby. Positive: The house was spacious, mod3rn, clean and in a very good location. It had all you need for a family stay and had a very homely feel to it. Negative: There's nothing to dislike.

This was a bit of a last minute booking so took a bit of a chance for a couple of days. I'm really pleased I did. The place was immaculate - in fact, I think we might have been the first people to stay there as it's located on a new build estate and lots of the facilities still had tags on! The place was incredibly well equipped with everything we needed. It felt like the hosts really cared about guests having a nice time and there was great attention to detail. Beds were comfy - I even looked at the label for their bedding to find some for ourselves! House is located on a quiet estate, next to an allotment. People at the back of the house did get a slightly earlier wakeup call from the cockeral behind but it wasn't too bad. The location is fab. About 15 minutes walk to the harbour, 10 minutes to the Abbey, brew pub and cliff top walks. It is really quiet and feels very safe for families. The kids' room was great, with bunk beds, teddies and a night light. really nice touches.

Exceptional Whitby Stay — Highly Recommend Abbey View House is a superb family base for exploring Whitby. The location is excellent, close to the Abbey, old town and harbour, with beautiful walks straight from the door. Walking down into town — often via the 199 Steps — was a real highlight. The walk back up was a little challenging for me personally (due to knee surgery recently but managed it!) but absolutely worth it for the views and peaceful setting. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with lovely local artwork, and extremely well equipped. Everything had been thoughtfully provided, making the stay easy and comfortable. Communication was outstanding throughout — clear instructions, quick responses and a very smooth check-in experience. A stylish, welcoming home in a fantastic location. We would happily stay again and highly recommend it to others.
