Our stay at The Mount was fantastic. Four adults and our nearly two-year-old stayed there, and it was the perfect size for us - very spacious throughout. The upstairs living area was ideal for our little girl because it had a door, so we didn’t need to bring a stair gate and she could play safely with plenty of room to move around. The bedrooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. Having three showers and four toilets was a real bonus - no one ever had to wait for the bathroom, and there was always a toilet available. The property itself was lovely, clean, and very welcoming. The location was great too, just a short walk into town to all the restaurants and shops. If we visit Whitby again, we would 100% book here again - it was perfect for us. Highly recommend!

Great birthday family trip Positive: The place is gorgeous. Spacious and all the bathrooms were amazing with a family of 6. Great location. Parking was great. Beds comfortable Negative: It was very expensive for three nights, I understand in the summer holidays this is often the case. This was a treat but would not be able to afford this every year at this time of the year.

Whitby Meet up Positive: We met up with some of our family so wanted somewhere central to Whitby where we could walk to everything. It was a perfect location to find all the nice cafes and breakfast places in the mornings. The apartment was very well laid out. Plenty of toilets and rooms for everyone. Modern, clean and comfortable. The views from the sitting room were lovely with the added bonus of being able to open up full sized windows on the warm evenings. Having a parking space was an added bonus to booking, as parking in Whitby is very limited. Would definitely look to book again next time we come to Whitby. Negative: My only niggle and it was just a minor niggle, was a slight musty smell coming from the cellar. It had obviously been a bit damp but was drying out. But only near the entrance. It didn't affect when you went in the rooms and everything else was spot on. It would not put us off staying there again.

The house is lovely and modern and in a great location to the shops etc. There is only parking for one car and we took two cars so it proved to be expensive for parking charges using the carparks close by. The house had everything we needed for our 2 night stay and it was comfortable. We encountered a few issues during our stay. The TV struggled for signal so we couldn’t watch the tv most of the time. The en-suite shower in the twin room, the shower doors don’t close properly so there is a gap which makes showering cold and water goes outside the shower cubicle. The shower in the main bathroom leaks water all over the floor. The downstairs room is very cold and there seems to be no radiators. All in all, a wonderful stay for a family of 6

What a gorgeous property and in such a great location. The location was great because it enabled our family to explore Whitby with ease. We booked this property to add an extra night onto our Yorkshire staycation and we were so pleased that the property was available. My family had such a lovely stay. The living area is open plan, clean, and beautifully decorated, which enabled us to spend some quality time together before we headed home the following day. Great memories made together. We would love to return to this beautiful property!

Fabulous stay, modern and clean - highly recommended Positive: Really spacious, modern and well equipped with all that we needed for a family weekend away. Nice touches like toiletries, dishwasher tablets, towels etc all provided. Negative: The location is a bit tricky to find. It would also be really helpful to have more parking- although we went out of season and general parking was free. I guess this could be a bit more tricky in peak summer.

We have a great stay at 3 The Mount! Would highly recommend..In a great location with space for 1 car. We had 2 cars and parked the second on silver street (within walking distance) and found it reasonably priced for our stay. The house itself was very spacious and fit 6 people comfortably. Very easy check in/out. Would happily stay again.

Ideal place to stay for 6 adults. Easy access on foot to West Cliff and the town centre. Clean, warm, comfortable. Would recommend. Be aware that, because of the one way system, accessing the allocated parking place on first arriving requires Google maps, and careful manoeuvring in very narrow streets!

Had a fabulous few days stay here with good friends! The apartment was fabulous and very spacious and light and airy. Everything we needed inside was catered for and it was all spotless . Would definitely be looking at booking again in the future .

We all enjoyed the trip to Whitby (the house being part of the experience) Positive: Very easy to walk to all the main areas of Whitby. Negative: Paying extra for insurance, not so much paying, but the mail got lost at the end of other mails and I only realised a couple of days before we went. Would be better if it was part of the up front cost.

Lovely place to stay Negative: An extra set of keys would be good as our party went to 2 different places at one time We couldn’t get hob to work - got it turned on but could get the hob sections to heat up - an instruction manual would be good

We had a lovely stay in Whitby with host and stay. Looked better than the photos and great amenities, location, parking etc. I would say very good value for money overall! The house sadly could have been slightly cleaner - walls and tiles needed a good scrub and we also found a pair of dirty boxers that had been left behind a door in one of the bedrooms (we were a group of 6 women so it certainly wasn’t us!). Also the way the deposit scheme is slightly frustrating. No confirmation of if you’ll get your deposit back until 7 days post check-out (this is too long) and then another 3-5 days for it to appear back. Because this host has 100’s of properties I appreciate that finding out about individual properties is difficult but I think something that could be improved for guest experience in the future. Would recommend this place as a lovely place to stay in Whitby.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was clean, comfortable, modern and well equipped Positive: The accommodation was spacious and modern, close to central Whitby but just out of the way enough to be quieter. Comfy beds and three showers, four toilets, enough for everyone. Negative: We could have used some extra parking, coming with six adults in different cars. Maybe some shelves for toothbrushes near the sink, and a wire shelf for shower gel, shampoo & conditioner. The TV aerial, or aerial cable may need looking at as the signal was weak.

Just returned from staying at the accommodation in Whitby five adults, one baby and two well-behaved dogs the accommodation was as a described three bedrooms three bathrooms ideal for our party. The location was great close to the town restaurants and beach would highly recommend Steve

The Mount property was stunning. Very quiet despite the road. Beautifully presented with real luxury. No views or outdoor space, but a perfect base to explore Whitby. We loved our stay.

The property was nice with most things you would need. Near to the town centre and beach. Negative: The property was advertised with an EV charger but when we arrived it didn't work, none of them did and I specifically asked before arrival if there was a charger Asked for a cot at booking, I didn't get an answer, so messaged them a day or so before arrival and they said they didn't provide cots. When we looked round the property, there was a travel cot under the stairs. Obviously we had had to take our own by that point. Booked through booking.com and when I paid for this property, somehow they took money for one of the other properties in my favourites folder. I did not authorise that payment but it still went out of my bank account. Took two weeks and 3 phone calls to get it back. I kept getting cut off while trying to speak to them. Would definitely go again, but prefer not to book through booking.com

Excellent location for a stay in Whitby, right near the whalebones and the West beach. The house actually seems much bigger than in the photos, it is light, airy and warm. We all appreciated the eco freindly products in the bathrooms. Only having one parking space for a house that sleeps 6 was tricky but there is a decent pay and display car park down the hill by the West beach so factor in just over a tenner a day onto the price of this property for extra parking, also a cleaning fee and refundable damages deposit. Directions and access to the property is tricky, and we needed clearer instructions to find the house and parking space. We ended up using the local carpark more than the airbnb space as check in wasn't until 4pm and check out is 10am. Everything else was very well communicated to us by our host and they regularly messaged. Wi-Fi instructions need updating to current network. Kitchen cupboards, kitchenware and carpets needed a more thorough clean. We enjoyed our stay!

We had a fabulous weekend for my sister’s 30th birthday! The house was everything and more. It was so spacious for the 6 of us and having a bathroom each (per couple) was great. It was in a great central spot, just 5 minutes walk to Whitby front. We will definitely be returning! Thanks so much.

Very nice stay and looked like the photos, was bigger than expected. Location is great and house is open and clean. It was difficult/ tricky to get to due to the one way streets, the google document the host sent didn’t work and needed clearer instructions but once there parking was easy (only one space) and was in a very convenient location as everything was walkable.

3 The Mount, holiday home. Positive: Lovely house, very clean, good location. Just down from the Whale Bone Arch. Private parking space was great. Negative: Only criticism was No oven gloves! Due to the one way system in Whitby, very narrow lanes, gps telling me that I needed to drive up a very narrow lane, I could not get down due to parked cars, it took us a fair while to find a route our wide-ish car could comfortably get down. No fault of the property but be mindful if you have a large car, or are a less confident driver.

Really nice place. Looked just like the photos. Wa actually bigger than we expected. Was a little tricky to find at first due to the one way streets, but once we were there the parking was easy and was in walking distance of all of Whitby! Would definitely stay again

Excellent start to our holiday and a beautiful fishing village if Whitby our our front door Positive: Clean tidy and all facilities were of good quality. Centrally located for all around harbour and town. Good for visiting local attractions. Good car parking by apartments Negative: Nothing we were very happy. Access from town is up very steep hill so this may need consideration by those with limited fitness or mobility issues. Easy to drive up and access apartment and drive down and park by harbour/coop area where all is flat

Would book again! Positive: Very good apartment, well equipped, good service from the owner / manager, great location. Just a couple of issues that I think need mentioning, this is not intended to be detrimental to the apartment, you will enjoy it if you book it! Negative: 1. The shower unit on the ground (entrance) floor needs replacing, the left side door was hanging off when we arrived, not sure if this was from the previous booking or if it needs repairing but it definitely requires fixing or replacing. 2. The previous day before arrival, I received a message indicating that the apartment would be free the following day from 11am. Reading further I expected the message to indicate that we could arrive early if we wished which would have been useful, and we could, but for this early entry the owner wanted a further £30.00. Needless to write I did not accept the offer. In my opinion this would have generated a more positive opinion of the owner if the charge had not been an addition. After all, there was no further cost and the apartment was free at that time. Good will goes a long way!

Great if you like the smell of vomit and being cold Positive: The property was furnished to a reasonably high standard. It was in a very good location. Negative: We contacted the property to raise multiple concerns and provide them with a chance to resolve our problems. We were advised that we would receive a resolution in 7-10 business. Today is business day 23, and we have yet to receive a response and have no option other than to leave this review Upon entering the property, we were met with an overwhelming smell of vomit. We identified the twin room as the source and noticed a poorly cleaned dark patch between the two beds where the vomiting had apparently taken place. Additionally, we noticed that the shower door was not aligned. We pulled the door to close it and it promptly fell off its rails. We contacted the property immediately to report the issues, and after around 2 hours and multiple calls, we were moved to the adjoining property for the first of our 2 nights. We were advised that our accommodation would be cleaned in the meantime and that we had to vacate the temporary apartment at 11.00 the next day. The staff that we spoke to were very sympathetic to the situation and helpful. The following day, we left the temporary property as advised, but our apartment had not been cleaned. Therefore we had to store our belongings in the car. When we were finally able to return to the apartment after it had been cleaned at around 14:00, the smell of vomit had reduced, but was still fairly strong. In addition, the carpet in the twin room was sodden where it had been 'cleaned'. The apartment was very cold, and the radiators wouldn't turn on. We checked the boiler, and it had no pressure. We reported this and decided to go out and try to salvage what was left of our weekend break. At this point, I tried to take a shower, and the door fell on me again while closing it. Smaller issues - We found two used contact lenses in the mugs provided. Additionally, we were contacted on the second day to ask if a car parked in another apartments space was ours. We advised it wasn't.

Easy access to the property and parking. We stay in Whitby once a year, and this stay did not disappoint. Would consid Positive: Beautiful house and good location. We had a nice stay but the check in time and check out times could be better . Positive: The location was very good and the property was finished to a very high standard . Negative: The additional insurance for damage was not clearly explained at the time of booking it was hidden in the small print and was not necessary why not include it in the upfront cost ? Plus the kettle was faulty it should have been checked and replaced before we arrived .

Was told no but the spaces remained empty the whole time. Ended up spending an extra £22.00 on parking

Excellent location and amenities

Positive: The house was perfect. It was well equipped with everything we needed... there were plenty of towels and kitchen utensils, etc.. Everything was clean and very homely. We were able to cook a few dinners during our stay. The location was great, and being able to sign into Netflix and other streaming services was a nice bonus. Negative: The only criticism was that the 2 ground floor bedrooms could have done with blackout blinds in them. When the sun was rising at 4am the bedrooms were so bright it was waking us up.

Fabulous Positive: Beautiful house. Great that 2 bedrooms had ensuites and the other has use of the bathroom. It was very spacious , clean and lovely.

Positive: The apartment was lovely, good location and well equipped. Negative: The insurance was a surprise -I have not experienced this with any property on booking.com anywhere in the world. Paying £250 upfront and receiving £240 back meant an extra £10 to factor into the cost of the place. Worse was that it took 2 weeks to return £240 which means the company is making a lot of interest on the funds they are holding - checking the property should take no more than an hour on the day of departure so it is hard to justify hanging on to this money for 2 weeks. Also the website encouraged us to travel by EV, the parking space had a charger and this is clearly shown on the website but when we arrived we discovered that we were not allowed to use it. This meant we had to find a charger elsewhere and there were not many in the town - this feels like mis-information and was very disappointing.

Very conveniently located, the house was very modern, clean and very well equipped. Also we slept very well, as the beds were very supportive and everything was generally very comfortable.

Very clean and tidy. The photos are accurate and the property has everything you need. Quiet location above the town with lovely views of the harbour a short walk away. Above all, there was plenty of space for all of us.

We could have moved in, the property was so nice! Positive: The house was in an excellent location, and was perfect for our 3 night stay. There was everything we needed and was so clean and modern. We would definitely stay there and again. Negative: The only negative was the check in time of 4pm, meaning we were moving in in the dark.

Could be a lot better and more helpful, spoilt a potentially good stay Negative: Electrical supply to fridge and freezer was not easy to find and looked dangerous when we found it behind a kick boards and prob did not meet electrical installation standards. WiFi difficult to connect to as wrong connection info in apartment and online info. Water coming through ceiling in bathroom when we left near a light fitting TV Aerial connection faulty and went off at inconvenient times Management not familiar with the property as not local and no local contact available to us . Really felt we had to sort problems out ourselves and management not interested as a big company with lots of properties everywhere. Fridge smelt on arrival and should have been cleaned better. Twin bedded room shower/bathroom smelt of stale drain smell. Towels clean but not great quality

Fantastic accommodation, very clean and in an excellent position for all that Whitby has to offer would definitely recommend it to friends and family and looking at booking to return next year
