Positive: The apartment was large & well equipped. The bed & sofas were comfortable & the place looked & felt clean. My daughter & I really enjoyed our stay & were comfortable in the apartment Negative: The door phone - someone decided to wake us up at midnight our first night asking to be let into the building, & we were disturbed a couple of times (at more reasonable hours) by people pushing the button

Beautiful location in the classic west cliff location. Perfect for folk week, , coastal walking, birdwatching, seal spot Positive: Loacation, comfort, size Negative: Only one set keys as there was more than one door. Feather bedding, had to take our own.

Fantastic! Positive: The apartment was exceptional! Everywhere was lovely and clean, comfy bed, everything that you could possibly need was provided. Perfect!! Negative: The only possible downside was that we didn't know what floor the apartment was on. Maybe a map of each floor could be at the key stores?

Positive: Amazing flat in a lovely building. Negative: Could have done with a parking permit card to park nearby

Great location. Very close to all that Whitby has to offer whilst not being in middle of the hustle and bustle. Literally the only quibble (and I am clutching at straws here) is the fact that there was just the one hand wash but we easily got around that. Great location, great amenities. Exactly as described. Would highly recommend.

Positive: The owner took full responsibility for the issues with our previous stay. Top of the list is providing new balcony patio furniture for two people. The apartment was also spotless clean. Literally gleaming. Host and Stay have also both apologised for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by them during our previous stay and offered a partial refund of the cleaning fee and reimbursement for a few quids worth of cleaning products.

Lovely stay in Whitby Positive: Absolutely lovely apartment in a quiet part of whitby. Good views of the sea ,small balcony to sit out .Apartment was well equipped with everything you could want . Negative: Free parking would be good ,we parked at the leisure centre a small walk away which wasn't a problem.

Positive: The owners have done an excellent job renovating and furnishing the property to a high standard. Very comfortable furniture and bed. Very useful wide lobby area for bags, coats, shoes etc.Well equipped kitchen with high specification appliances and dishwasher. Amazon Prime movies was great. Don't be put off by the outer communal area near the front door and lift, which is clean but scruffy. The inner communal area which serves four apartments has been recently decorated to a high standard and very quiet. Also don't be put off by a larger block of 39 apartments, they are well spaced out in separate corridors and everyone we met on the way in and out was very friendly. The location is superb with a sea view from the east facing balcony, close to the beach and the Chinese restaurant downstairs is pretty good. It's a generally very quiet spot as there are no noise generating amenities nearby and the pub downstairs is currently shut (repossessed). Negative: One outdoor chair for a balcony and patio with a sea view has to be top of the list. I kid you not, when reported to Host and Stay, this was the response verbatim "The property is only advertised and equipped with one balcony chair. Therefore we would not expect two chairs to be provided unless specifically stated in the property listing". Next up: filthy oven gloves and only a small amount of toilet paper and no spare rolls. Yes, we searched every cupboard in the apartment before you ask. We aren't that dumb. The bathroom had not been cleaned to anything like an acceptable basic standard let alone the "enhanced" high touch areas that Host and Stay charge an additional £50 for. 'All high touch areas disinfected" except for example: a dirty and broken tooth brush holder and dirty soap dish. Sink not wiped underneath these nor bowl properly cleaned. Shower screen and handles not wiped down. Floor neither mopped nor wiped. I understand that these things happen. Sub contract cleaners are busy and under pressure to cut corners. Things get missed or forgotten. What was most disappointing was Host and Stay's response. We reported the issues by phone and email immediately at check-in and provided photos. All we asked for was someone to come back with a few bog rolls and to clean the bathroom. Simple and reasonable. By 5pm the next day no bog rolls and no cleaner. So we scrubbed the bathroom ourselves and bought our own bog rolls. Receipt sent to Host and Stay. Apparently it takes them 7 to 10 days to decide whether to reimburse despite having chance to quickly and easily rectify. I feel sorry for the owner if they don't know this has happened. This is the first of two five night stays booked, hopefully we won't have the same issues for the next stay.

Excellent, would recommend Positive: The apartment was better than we expected from what we saw on the pictures. Great location. We didnt want to leave and even could imagine us living there. Would definitely recommend. Negative: There was nothing we didnt like.

Positive: The apartment was like new and very comfortable. Negative: Parking was a problem was not sure where to park safely.

Positive: The entranceway was a lot to be desired. My first thought, OMG 😲 what have I booked 😳 The apartment was amazing decor to a very high standard. Really enjoyed my stay . Negative: The location was a bit out of the way.10 minute walk to the nearest bar/pub. It would have been great to have one on your doorstep. To make it your local during your stay. Nothing around the apartment restaurants/ cafe, etc .10 -15 minute walk to the town center plus side got your steps in.

Positive: Whitby. Negative: The banging from the upstairs flat, the mattress sliding off the bed and the bathroom being too small and the extractor didn't work.

Great location, very close to the beach and town centre. Apartment was spotlessly clean.

we really like the location of the apartment and the apartment itself Positive: the modern look and cleanliness of the apartment the location and the sea view Negative: the general cleanliness of the main building and areas the walls are dirty and need painting the windows are dirty also covered in muck the carpet is taped together with black tape and missing in some areas the building in general looks unkept.There was scaffolding up outside the windows and balcony the birds nest in the roof on the balcony not enough parking permits supplied which cost me another 25 pound to park for the remainder of my stay

Positive: Lovely comfortable, clean apartment in a great quiet location. Negative: Main entrance door key into the building was sticky. Once in, it was lovely.

Very nice. Positive: Inside the apartment was beautiful. Recently refurbished, well stocked with kitchen utensils, washing machine, dishwasher and comfortable. Location was great. Negative: Common areas of apartment block well overdue for a refurbishment. Key to get into apartment block was very fiddly. Had to get other residents to let us in on occasions.

The apartment was beautifully furnished very clean, amenities were not as described and no parking ticket until Bradley thankfully came to the rescue not Dale. It was a shame the balcony was not clean ok scaffolding was not a problem as the sun rise was gorgeous and nice to see the sea so the view was good. We left a day earlier as the apartment upstairs all night sounded like they were moving furniture and although a comfy bed i couldn't sleep so came home for a rest ,the hairdrier is in the stool under the dressing table and it took 3 days to find it , as hosts you cannot write amenities and then not produce them its false representation
