Enjoying our family holiday in a lovely location. Positive: Excellent location on a lovely secure site. Negative: Beautiful property unfortunately spoilt on arrival by the lack of cleanliness, we had to clean before we could unpack, change of linen and hoovering appeared to be the only cleaning done, even toothpaste stains were left in the sinks.

We had a lovely family weekend away at this property. It was a great space to chill out and walk to the beach with the kids. We would definitely visit again!

Absolutely gorgeous place, felt very safe and secluded- but also family friendly. Short walk To Gorgeous hill top views absolutely stunning

A lovely, comfy and clean lodge for our family stay. Comfortable beds and very good power showers. No problems finding the place and very handy for Runswick Bay village, beach and local pubs.

Quiet, easy and relaxing. Perfect family holiday. Positive: Location was great. Accommodation was clean, spacious and well fitted out.

Great place to stay in runswick , 20 minutes walk down to the beach which was amazing Quiet, clean , beautiful great for walking dogs as there are no restrictions Nice few pubs great views and lovely walks The accommodation was bright clean modern with everything you need loved it will return Everything you need there Only thing I would add is another armchair perhaps as seating was just 2 2 seater couches and for 3 adults and 2 kids that would have helped I had 2 questions and my call and message was answered immediately so fantastic back up. Great places to visit nearby Very steep walk to the beach so beware Last thing just a small gripe I think check out at 10 is too early even 11-12 as next guests can’t arrive till 4 . 4 hours ample time to clean. We booked an additional day but that makes it more expensive really it’s a problem with most air b and bs really

we would stay there again Positive: lovely place, well presented with everything you need including picnic blanket and dog bowls. location is good thou the walk to and from the beach is not easy, being very steep. The car park near the beach quickly gets packed, it was ok on the Friday but on Saturday there was no parking available. Negative: The steep walk to the beach

Superb lodge! We had the best time here and have already booked to come back in May! The lodge is spacious, dog friendly, in a gorgeous gated lodge community. The walk down to Runswick Bay is beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend!

Our stay at 28 The Pines First Class experience with booking and communication before, during and after stay. Accommodation was beautiful, very clean and well equipped. It was very comfortable for our family of four and our Westie. Owners very accommodating to our dog with a few nice touches to support this. Great location never too far from the different beaches and bays along the coastline with Runswick Bay itself being the jewel in the crown. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice relaxing stay. The small artisan bakery worth a visit also! The Montgomery’s

Had a lovely 4 day break at the pines was very comfortable and relaxing great amenities and lovely and quiet. The walks were all great surrounding the lodge park , restaurants near by were very good and it’s so self efficient that you can eat in the lodge too , (self catering)I would highly recommend the lodge and met our expectations Charlie the host was extremely friendly and always on hand through airb&b if you require anything. We would love to revisit again. Many thanks for a very much enjoyable stay.

Lovely cabin in fantastic location. Positive: Location and style. Lovely windows. Great distance from coastal walks. Negative: It wasn’t as clean as I would like. Found sweet wrappers and tissues underneath drawers in bedroom. I wiped down coffee and tea pots in kitchen because they had drinks stains on. Cupboards containing dishes were dusty and needed wiping. I would consider adding an oven glove to kitchen facilities as there was only one tea towel.

Luxurious Great property- has everything we needed for a break

Positive: Fab location and the weather was great which helped. Negative: Remote for the TV did not work.

The lodge is lovely and it’s in a private gated park so you feel secure. The location is just amazing, you are two minutes away from the coastal path and a short walk away from the village and beach. Perfectly peaceful and really dark on a night to see the stars. There were a few hairs and cobwebs about when we arrived but there are cleaning supplies in the lodge, so it was easily resolved. Upon check out the cleaners were sat outside waiting for us to leave before our check out time which did put us in a panic and made us feel like we needed to run out the door.

Beautiful location, very peaceful. Bus route to sandsend and staithes at the end of the drive. Well equipped, beautifully furnished and comfortable lodge. Lots of space for 6. We had a very nice break away!

The cabin was homely, clean and very comfortable. The Pines are private quiet area ,a few mins walk from Runswick bay hotel , bus stop . Perfect place to walk the Cleveland way.

Positive: Quiet and comfy lodge, very close to beach. Negative: There are only TWO bathrooms, not the three described in details.

Positive: We really enjoyed our stay—the lodge is in a fantastic location, very spacious, and extremely comfortable.

We love staying at the Pines!! Our favourite lodge is puffins rest but we stayed in another one this time and it was just as nice. Only downside is late check in and then you are offered the chance to pay for an earlier check in when it is already quite pricey. Close to bus stop, gorgeous pubs for food and the views are wonderful. We love this wee part of the country and happily will return soon!

Lovely lodge set in a gorgeous location… Positive: It was such a lovely lodge with plenty of room….ideal location and set in lovely grounds… Negative: Nothing…it was lovely.

We had a fantastic stay, Runswick Bay is beautiful. There was so much to do and all easily accessible by bus too. The accommodation was very spacious, with a good size outdoor area too. It was very clean and well equipped, would return in a heartbeat. Thank you.

OK for 2 nights base but glad were not Positive: Location felt safe and good distance to our final destination - Whitby. Negative: The photos definitely made the accommodation look better than it was. It needs a good clean especially the kitchen and the dining area. There was an awful smell in the main bathroom. Some of the crockery/ electrical goods were dirty and the tableware looked tired. There were stains on both the carpet and the rugs in the living room. The wardrobe in the second bedroom had so much bedding, cushions, duvets and travel cot in it, that there was not a lot of space for the guests own items. The curtains in the front room looked like someone had slept on them !

Very straight forward check in with key safe. Well kitted out static caravan in a safe, gated site. Quiet. Just a short walk from Runswick Bay’s beauty. We had a great time - thank you!

Lovely lodge in a great location, we love Runswick Bay and have been many times. Just a few points to make the lodge even better, in my opinion. Would be great if there was a hand towel per person rather than per bathroom. Would be helpful to have some kitchen cleaner to keep the kitchen clean. Kitchen is well equipped but some of the crockery is looking very chipped so could do with being replaced. Also would be a nice gesture to let people check in a little bit earlier for free if the lodge is ready, rather than asking them to pay extra when they are already paying a lot of money for their stay.

We really enjoyed our stay particularly lucky with the good weather and having a nice balcony to sit on.

This was a great spot and very secure. The complex is behind locked gates in a community of holiday homes. Very quiet.

Lovely clean lodge. Nice area and quiet. Couple of points - could have done with a pair of oven gloves, a small bottle of washing up liquid, the dishwasher and tabs were a welcome addition, but didn't want to put plastics in there, perhaps a kitchen roll would have been an idea. Overall a lovely stay, just didn't need the constant messages from Host & Stay from how's it going...let us know if you need anything...this is your last day...make sure you are out by 10...no special requests for late checkout etc. Thanks

Really enjoyed our stay. Positive: Lovely spacious place with comfy beds and pillows. Lots of space to spread out and a large deck as well. Negative: I would have expected some basics in the kitchen such as a tea towel, kitchen roll and washing up liquid. Only 1 piece of kitchen foil which was in the bottom of the oven. We always take our own so not a problem for us but might be if you are not used to taking basic amenities just in case. The window in the dining room didn’t open or close in fact it looked like it was broken, I took photos and tried to forward to the owners but was unable,

Positive: Key collection was easy - as described in the confirmation email. Great location for us to get to the local beaches and Roseberry topping

Very pleasant. Beds weren’t very comfortable though. Positive: The space Negative: The late check in time and early check out time and constant texts reminding us what time we had to leave. This will deter me from booking again.

Lots of space and felt like a home from home. Well stocked kitchen and the place was dressed very nicely. Great location and only a walk from the beautiful Runswick Bay (and coastal bus to Whitby). Clear and concise communication throughout. Would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely time staying at The Pines in Runswick Bay. The accommodation had everything we needed, was clean and very comfortable. We walked around local areas and down to the bay which is absolutely beautiful. Easy commute to Whitby too. The weather wasn't amazing when we were there but that didn't stop us walking etc, just needed a waterproof coat 😉

We loved our stay. Runswick Bay is a beautiful place. Great location to explore the coastline. The Pines is a safe place to stay with gated entry. We will definitely be back. It had everything we needed and more!

7 but could have been a 10 Negative: mould in the shower in on suite I thought the kitchen a little under equipped.. tv was overly small also hard to get to work at times . main bed mattress not the best ..

Lovely place to stay. Feels like a gated community inside the little park. very safe and secure. The accommodation itself is perfect, very clean, plenty of space inside, set in a nice peaceful area. We have mentioned booking again in summer!

A lovely well equipped lodge, great peaceful location. Runswick bay is beautiful but be prepared for a very steep climb if walking home from the beach- especially if you have little ones and all of the required kit! ( Handy car park as required.

Immaculate, beautiful and fully equipped lodge within walking distance to Runswick Bay beach.

Lovely bungalow with everything available on hand. Great space for family gathering. 3 generations and we did not feel cramped. Very steep hike up/down to beach so car may be needed and recommended booking of local pubs as busy but all nice

Very well equipped and cosy caravan in a brilliant location. Caravan was very clean on arrival and communacation before and during our stay was brilliant. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to book again.

Positive: Ideally situated for dog walking with access to the Cleveland Way just along a field. The accommodation was extremely clean and appeared to be fairly new. There was plenty of hot water and furnishings, kitchen equipment etc. was of a high standard. Negative: A small thing - some hooks on the backs of the doors in the bathroom and bedrooms would be useful.

The accommodation was excellent: modern, warm and clean with everything you need for your stay.

Great size and comfortable! Would stay again :) Positive: Everything was provided, even dog facilities/toys/bowls were provided. Very clean and comfortable. The caravan was such a good size. We never felt in each others way there was plenty of room. It was furnished so nicely too. We had a great time! Negative: Not much! Just one picky thing would be not being able to watch live tv. But catch up and Netflix etc were available.

The lodge was very clean ,well equipped and comfortable. Communication with the host was very easy. Access to the accommodation was very straight forward. Beautiful 3 bedroom lodge. Tv in lounge is pretty small but rest of place is great. The walk down to the beach is pretty steep so walking back up it is a killer 🥵. It’s so peaceful, very quiet. Nice walk to Staithes , walk out of the gates & turn right then when get to cliff edge turn left. It’s about an hour. We went to Whitby in the car which is opposite way & about 15 mins in car. There doesn’t seem to be many places to eat in the area, we did a shop for a few bits at Sainsbury’s & had a big lunch in Whitby 1 day & a big lunch in Staithes the other day. Just be prepared to bring food or to drive somewhere. Trip advisor reviews on the places to eat in Runswick bay weren’t good so put us off wanting to try. We love the east coast . So would stay again

Lovely modern and clean lodge located in a great location. There was nothing we could fault about it and will definitely return.
