Mixed feelings about our stay in Scarborough. On the positive side, a stunning location with enough room to accommodate our family of three. Easy to get to the beach. On the other side, not clean, thorn bed sheet, broken light in hallway and worn out frying pan. The sink was broken from the kitchen counter top and the shower only burning hot. This was fixed the next morning, leaving us not to use the sink for the rest of the day. The shower was set to a fixed safe but hot temperature and the bathroom left dirty. Overal this place could be much better with some more tender love and care.
The positive is that the apartment is lovely and well laid out. Location is good also. The negatives which completely spoiled our stay was having no workable shower which they told us would be set at a reasonable temperature whilst awaiting a new part. This was 4 weeks prior to our booking so I raised my concerns re this but still not able to cancel as was a none cancelable booking which itself is poor if there is an issue. As a result my daughter didn't come with us as she's heat intolerant which was a good job because the first day the shower was borderline cold and the next 4 days almost boiling so we were unable to shower which is just unacceptable and this shouldn't be let until sorted. From comments in a book from previous guests they had the same issue end of May and I'm not even convinced it is the shower as the water temperature in both the bathroom and kitchen sink were exactly the same, either cool or piping hot. Also issue with bedroom window unable to close.
This apartment was amazing immaculately clean. Bed linen and towels soft and white. Very comfortable beds. Ample storage for your clothes. Everything you needed for a home from home. My grandsons loved watching the dolphins with your binoculars which was a nice touch and all your games they had to choose from. It is within walking distance to north and south bay. So peaceful. Everything was provided,plenty of utensils,towels and heating if needed.Perfect location too with no parking issues. Charlie was helpful too and was in contact when needed. We would happily return for a stay here,thanks again.
Great apartment with sea views. During breakfast we even got to see a dolphin. Great location to park the up and walk to all the attractions around Scarborough. Lots of great places to eat and keep the kids entertained. Apartment was a home from home.

A beautiful well maintained flat. Just as pictured perfect for the two of us but equally suitable for two couples. Had everything you need. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place in the area.
Positive: Position was good. It was clean and tidy with most of the amenities needed. Views of the sea was a nice bonus. Negative: The blind in the main bedroom was not big enough and it let lots of light in from sunrise every morning. Water temperature was low and shower ran cold with just two people taking showers.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful location and very good value for money. We really enjoyed our stay. Positive: The location of the apartment is perfect, very close to the castle ( nice views of this from the street outside) and local amenities. The apartment is also just opposite the sea so has lovely views of this from the living room and kitchen windows. The bedrooms in particular and the rest of the apartment are really nicely decorated. The apartment is spotlessly clean on arrival. The owners left a folder with lots of information including local attractions and places to eat which was appreciated and a really nice touch. Parking just outside on the street was great too. We used the little binoculars also left for guests to view the sea every day from the breakfast table! Everything was as described. Our toddler enjoyed the children’s games provided. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were perfect for a short stay. Would stay here again.
Had a lovely few days at the apartment. My father used to live just around the corner from here but sadly he passed away in January. We came up to see friends and family and to have a memorial for dad. The apartment felt like I was just at home so this was very comforting. It was a great size, beautifully presented and the views over the north bay are incredible no matter what the weather. I can see why my dad fell in love with Scarborough and that view. Thank you to the hosts also for their hospitality.
Well appointed and great value. The location is ideal for accessing both sides of the coast and the town centre. The Host communication was excellent but not intrusive. Clean and tidy on arrival and as pictured. Very happy with this rental and ideal for our 11 day stay.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist super und wir konnten das Auto direkt vor der Tür parken. Besonders der Blick aufs Meer hat uns gut gefallen. Die Unterkunft war sauber, nur leider lagen noch 2 benutzte Taschentücher im Schlafzimmer auf dem Boden. Das fanden wir sehr ekelig. Die Vermieter machten uns das Angebot jemanden vom Reinigungspersonal vorbeizuschicken. Aber das hätten wir während unseres Aufenthaltes als störend empfunden. Wir hätten uns über eine kleine Erstattung gefreut, aber das blieb aus. Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt und würden sie jederzeit wieder buchen. In der Küche sollten nur die Pfanne und Töpfe mal getauscht werden, da die Beschichtung sehr verkratzt ist.

Stayed here as a stop off travelling further to see family, everything we needed, with beautiful views of the beach, walking distance of 10 minutes to either north or south beaches
Positive: Was brilliant the parking can be difficult but I'm still gonna give this a ten because was fantastic if I had to be picked id have a bit bigger sofa Negative: Could have been alot clearer where parking permits are the woman in the phone did not know we finally found it after about an hour under the cutlery holder in the draw could av been costly we if we did not find
Comfortable apartment Positive: Comfortable apartment. Well appointed with a nice view towards the sea. Negative: As first time visitors to Scarborough we had no knowledge of the parking arrangements around the apartment and that it would be so busy. There was mention of a disc but nothing was evident in the information folder. Luckily we were able to park and avoid fines. On querying this we were then informed they were in a folder, in the cutlery drawer, under the cutlery tray. Not the most obvious place!!
Positive: The location was lovely only a short walk to the sea front and the view was fantastic Negative: There was only 1 fan for the whole apartment and the parking was ridiculous they only provided 1 scratch card for 1 car and that is only if you can get a space so be prepared to pay an extra £13 for every 24 hours you are there for the car park which is a 10 min walk away we had 2 cars so manged to park 1 car for free with the scratch card but cost us an extra £33 for the other car even tho when I booked i did say we had 2 cars rang to try and get another scratch card and the staff was not interested at all which is a shame as the apartment was lovely

Excellent apartment Positive: A very comfy and well equipped, high quality apartment. Beautiful views. We appreciated tea and coffee too Negative: The hot water did not work well so we had warmish then cold showers. The Internet wasn't great. Having a parking permit was great, but it was super busy so finding a space was tricky!
Great accommodation as described with a fantastic sea view. The apartment was clean however the bedroom furniture was rather dusty and the bathroom had cleaning product sprayed but not wiped off by the housekeeping team. Bed linen and the kitchen however was pristine. The accommodation is within a disc zone and whilst a permit was provided, the availability of parking spaces is very limited. I appreciate that this can’t be helped and fortunately it was only a 15-20 minute walk into the town centre. All the basic amenities are provided, however there were no oven gloves and a wok and saucepan would’ve been useful too. The washing machine was incredibly handy and easy to use. I found check-in incredibly straightforward and the communication from the hosts couldn’t have been better.

Really nice accommodation. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable for a lovely night sleep. Positive: Self catering. Location was great. Negative: Only little downside was it’s a shame the windows couldn’t be cleaned. Absolutely gorgeous view out of them . But spoiled a little bit by all the seagull poo.
A birthday surprise that left my wife devastated! Positive: Location. Negative: Booked as a birthday surprise 3 days away for my wife. A 3.5 hour drive from home, via a Skipton steam train trip & an afternoon tea, we made the unforgivable mistake of arriving 30 minutes early! The place was a bomb site, filthy sink & toilet, bin overflowing, linen, throws & cushions thrown all over, filthy carpet in entrance & hallway stinking of fish, my wife was disgusted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We phoned, they sent the cleaners in, whilst we walked around Scarborough in the rain for 2 hours! We contacted the company again, they said 'yeh, really sorry about that'. You know the phrase 'you only get one chance to make a 1st impression'!! Previous feedback 'all the e mails are a pain in the ass' are quite true, plus 'free parking' means on the road, if you can find a space! The photographs really flatter the place! Think that it's best I don't share photographs here!
The apartment was lovely, had great views and our 5 year old liked playing Guess Who! Place was clean, and comfortable. Only thing we missed was fans for the two bedrooms as we happened to stay in the hottest days of the year! Would recommend and would book again. Thanks.
Some good some bad. Positive: Great location for where we needed to be, was nice to be on the quieter side of Scarborough. Was a nice apartment and liked they had board games available, haven't played Guess who in years! Negative: The apartment was not cleaned fully, old food left on the floors, hand washes not refilled and shampoo dispensers were filthy. Also far far too many emails being sent from the booking company (not booking.com)
Comfortable, convenient apartment, we shall return as we like this area of Scarborough very much Positive: Location is excellent in a fairly quiet seafront road with sea views from the front windows. Free parking on road outside with parking permit provided by the hosts. Not far to walk to shops, restaurants etc. Negative: Bedside lights too dim and low down for reading easily. (A problem we find in most hotels)
Positive: Location was great Negative: The apartment was dirty. The shower was dirty, there was food in one of the bedrooms. Someones pants and socks were left in th warddrobe. There was a towel with faceas and urine left in the bathroom

If you get the chance to book this apartment you will not be disappointed. It has the most amazing view from the lounge area. We went in February! . All the rooms were so lovely and warm (with the heating easy to turn up or down). The bedding and towels were so clean and fresh, the shower was lovely and hot and the bathroom beautifully clean. There is everything you need in the kitchen area, which again was spotless. Easy and simple instructions on how to get in and good quick WiFi. (The tv has Nextfix and catch up tv already guest loaded. ) A good 20min walk to town. However Nippys taxi app is brilliant and approx £7.00 to get into town. Just eat delivers. Everything was just perfect. Thank you. The only thing I would recommend is to take tea, coffee, sugar, milk and any other first day needs as there is no welcome pack.

Positive: The location is great and the view spectacular. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The communal areas are well maintained. The beds are very comfortable with good quality pillows. Negative: Issues on arrival around parking permits. There were none available even though they are advertised as included. I dealt with Charlie who responds very quickly but 24 hours later we still had no permits,after much toing and froing the property owner John said they were under the cutlery tray in the kitchen drawer, not the most obvious place to keep them. The day after we arrived the kitchen sink became detached from the work surface and we were unable to use it for the duration of our stay we did escalate this and said we could manage without it. The shower temperature is a massive issue, we were unable to use it a couple of times because the water was scalding and there is no way to turn it down, a functioning shower is a basic requirement and this has been mentioned as far back as May and has not been rectified. It is quite unsafe especially if children were to stay here.
We had such an amazing stay in Scarborough! The flat was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. The location is perfect, stunning views and just a short walk to the beach, as well as lots of local spots to explore nearby. Check-in and check-out were super easy and stress-free. We definitely look forward to coming back here again.
We had a really lovely time with and would happily return for another visit. Positive: It was clean, comfortable and close to all attractions and the town centre, with all main shops being within walking distance. The sea view from the dining area of the property was lovely. We were also provided with parking tickets covering the entire period of our stay (5 nights) which was an unexpected bonus! Negative: Nothing.
The apartment is decorated beautifully and is in a stunning location, peaceful but a short walking distance from the hustle and bustle of the sea front so you get the best of both worlds. Would 100% recommend

A lovely appartment let down by the company managing it. Positive: A lovely, comfortable appartment with a nice view of the sea. Negative: There were lots of messages before the stay, forms to fill in external to booking.com and the instructions for how to get in were inadequate. I had to phone to work out how to get the keys and it made the arrival stressful. The appartment is lovely, but whereas with some hosts you feel they've gone the extra mile, this host as a big company was much more impersonal. The number of parking permits left out was wrong and certain things were lacking, like toilet paper and a tea towel (although the tea towel was provided after a request).
This property was in perfect clean condition, possibly better than you could get at a hotel. Fresh linen and towels provided along with anything else you could need. Bonus being the sea view right outside the living room and everything being within a 15/20min walk. We had trouble accessing the property due to our own fault but the help line was quick and friendly. Parking was made easy with the scratch cards provided so we did not have to worry during our stay. We definitely recommend and would stay again.

We loved our stay in Scarborough! It is hotel quality with the benefits of having an entire apartment. The view is incredible and it is in a great spot as you can walk to the beach and the castle.

A very comfortable and clean apartment in a great location with sea view Couleur be enjoyed. Positive: The sea view rom the living room was great. Tje apartment was very clean. The bathroom was very modern and offered shampoo and shower gel. The staircase of the building was very clean.
Positive: The location was quiet with a lovely sea view and near the castle. The bed was comfortable, heating on tap. Negative: The access arrangements were quite complicated, with a key code sent at the last minute. The leavingcode given was wrong. However Charlie was quick to respond. Not sure who or where Charlie was. No dish cloth, T towels, or coffee maker.

Lovely flat and gorgeous location. Well catered for and comfortable. The only issue was the wifi which wasn't working when I arrived and it took ages to get it sorted. Communication via Host & Stay was not quick.
The apartment itself was fine. We were not so happy to not be able to communicate with the landlord directly and was our first time using host & stay. On arrival, the apartment had no bedding, towels, loo roll , soap for hands or dishes. It was a challenge to get hold of someone at Host & stay who then struggled to get hold of the landlords. Eventually all was sorted the next morning but wasn’t ideal. Refund would be very welcome. The extra insurance and holding deposit with Host and Stay was also a surprise in addition to the usual Airbnb costs.

Lovely first floor apartment, very clean, newly decorated. Shower is great too! Fantastic location - good view of North Bay from window, shame your neighbours have scaffolding up spoiling the view for your guests! (Just found ourselves a bit short of toiletries and toilet roll ! ) Really enjoyed our four night stay.
Stayed 5 nights in this apartment. Everything was as advertised. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Everything you need for a relaxing break. Parking disk provided. Also a very quick response whenever a question was asked during our stay. Would definitely stay again.
