Lovely flat very spacious. We were a bit cold but the weather wasn’t great. Added bonus TV in the bedroom. Suited my wife. Great location not far from anywhere in Scarborough. Took a while to find the keys as the final email said apartment 4 was our home but we got there in the end. Wi-Fi codes were different from the one in the lounge to the one in the kitchen but we worked it out. A great place to stay Pat and Barbara

Very nice place situated in Scarborough. I think it was worth the price and was a lot bigger than expected over 2 floors. It was very clean on arrival and we had complimentary items left. I would stay again here.

Fantastic stay at Easby Hall. Ideal location just a few minutes walk from the beach. The Apartment was spotless and just as decribed. Plenty of space, great natural light and every amenity you could want. Great value for money

It was a great flat with a great location, directly opposite St Martin's church decorated by famous pre Raphaelite artists. Very quiet. Very easy to walk to town and 2 minutes to the best view of the South bay beach and spa. There are many steps or flat slopes down to the beach and spa but you are also very close to the cliff side tram/cable car if mobility is an issue.

I was made to feel very comfortable considering I had a major operation, I wanted for nothing, it’s the Welcome Pack I’ve ever had, full of quality products the only downside was the lift was broken and left me feeling very vulnerable, however the caretaker said he would in the event of fire, make sure I was able to get downstairs from the top floor, the flat had everything I needed thank you

Great flat & lovely welcome pack. \nHowever, as pointed out by previous guests incorrect access info, en-suite toilet not flushing, shower unusable, hall & kitchen radiators not working. Sticky floors & smears all over upstairs TV. 1 remote with dead batteries. Lots of emails to sell us extra time but no response when we reported issue with heating & no further communication when we followed up. Not a great Christmas stay, which is a shame considering the apartment and location were perfect. Won’t be trusting Host & Stay again.

The apartment is amazing once we were in Positive: The accommodation is amazing it’s like home from home the attention to detail is great it’s cosy, comfortable and has everything you need. Negative: Check in is very late in comparison to other places and had I had known this I probably wouldn’t have booked as we were going out to a wedding reception and had no where to get ready we had to go then come back at which point my battery had run out on my phone couldn’t access the details had to sit in car waiting for some charge it was dark couldn’t find the key safe and it was quite stressful.

Comfortable, spacious apartment. Positive: This is a spacious, quiet and comfortable apartment in a nice area of Scarborough. We appreciated the extra things such as the coffee machine. Negative: It would have been nice to have had more coat hangers.

Positive: Apartment in excellent location for Scarborough Town and Olivers Mount. Plenty of room. Negative: Nowhere to put clothes, not ideal for a stay longer than one night. Cleaning could have been better in kitchen.

Superb location and first class Apartment Positive: The apartment was in a very high end location with valuable car parking space. The accommodation was top notch with comfortable furnishings, well equiped kitchen which used quality washing up liquid, not cheap stuff. A lift to the third floor was a tremendous help, particularly for lugging up cases, etc. Negative: The toilet in the en-suite rocked when sitting down, so I left a note for the cleaner to inform the owner so it could be mended for the next guests. Other than that, everything was top dollar.

We loved it! Positive: We loved our stay in this fabulous apartment and were very grateful for the lift after lots of walking in the local area and weary legs! The apartment is clean, spacious and very well equipped and we loved that we could cool the flat by opening the windows and allowing a breeze through, despite being on the top floor...we just needed to be on gull watch to make sure that we had no extra uninvited (and noisy) guests! This is a wonderful place to stay and we'd love to stay here again in the future.

Served its purpose - we were there to see Deacon Blue at the open air theatre - fantastic night and easy to get back on Positive: Good location with parking. Large downstairs. Two bathrooms. Negative: Not keen on the bedroom set up. Bed would be better on the back wall. Getting out of bed if on the right side (facing bed) felt too close to the top of the open staircase. Fan in bathroom didn’t work so it got uncomfortably hot and steamy. Bedroom is in the loft and was very hot when we arrived at 9.30pm - the blinds on the two Velux windows had been left open. Uncomfortably hot first night. Better second night because we left the blinds closed all day.

Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Scarborough Positive: Very spacious apartment, with high ceilings and big windows. The kitchen was well equipped, having a washing machine and clothes horse was a bonus. The bed was very comfy - nice to have a king sized bed instead of a standard double. It was great having two bathrooms too. Negative: The address given is Montpellier Terrace, but the entrance is actually on Craven Street. The instructions included a key code for the front door however there is no keypad, we just used a key.

We love Scarborough and this is the second time we have stayed in Easby Hall it is perfect for us Positive: We didn’t have breakfast - just tea/coffee. We decided to go out for breakfast Negative: There wasn’t anything we didn't like - everything was perfect 😀

Had a great stay, to get to the seafront we counted 203 steps to get down. There are slopes as well as a funicular. Positive: Spacious flat with on site parking. Location was excellent, near to seafront & the town. Negative: The flat needs some TLC.

Positive: The accommodation was fresh, clean and very spacious. Great location, close to all amenities. Negative: In the kitchen there was a microwave that should have been attached to the wall, it was obviously unsafe, had been taken down but the two arms it had been sitting on were left sticking out of the wall... quite dangerous. The recycling bin hadn't been emptied. The remote control needed batteries.

Nothing special but upset it. Positive: Facility conditions are faire,however keys to main door is not available, I attempted to call the service line for assistance but failed.Besides that, the heater of bedroom and hot water for showering are so weak. I couldn’t stay there over 24 hours but ran away next day after checked in!

Great location and layout of flat. Unfortunately instructions to find correct key safe not provided. Property needs some TLC, shower very difficult to turn on and off, en-suite toilet’s flush intermittent fault, no towel rail in en-suite so very cold. There was quite a lot of dust and dirt that I had to clean. Great to have off street parking and easy to get to town and the beach.

Lovely location, needed proper clean , not a lick and a promise.. Positive: Flat was lovely ,but needed attention,( see below) in good location for where we wanted to be , on site parking was a bonus , and the lift a godsend .bedding and pillows were crisp and clean as were towels. Negative: Pans to cook in were in terrible condition , horrible chipped and battered. Cooking utensils were also very poor , silicone had melted on fish slice and was pitted and not pleasant , behind the bed and inside windows were very dirty , fridge and freezer not to clean , and full of built up ice, inside of microwave was disgusting, and had to be thoroughly washed before we could use it. The outside door to building very stiff and hard to open.

Excellent place to stay, parking on site was really appreciated and close to the Spa which was easily accessible via the cliff lift. Pleasant walking along the Esplanade by the sea and gardens.

Some good things and some bad. Good - excellent location, lovely apartment with good amenities, dedicated parking spot, host was responsive. Bad - access instructions were simply wrong (not unclear, but actually wrong) which was quite stressful as we arrived late at night; the bedroom which is located in the attic space of the building gets hot in Summer - this is not a problem in the day as the skylights provide ventilation but at night it is too warm (or one can open the skylights and the seagulls let you know who they think own the place!)

As previous people have noted - the entry instructions need updating - there is no key code for the front door - it is key only. We met the caretaker of the property who said he has had to help previous guests to get in ! The apartment itself is lovely with everything you need for a short stay. Host & Stay were quick to respond to my queries and easy to communicate with. The location is brilliant and it has the added bonus of a car park space.

Good things - great location, quiet, free parking space, very spacious, feels safe, well presented communal areas, quirky layout, lots of storage Bad things - mould in the shower, stains on bed sheets, unclear check in instructions as it said key code for front door but there wasn’t one (now read that previous reviews state the same it needs updating but nothing has been done) and 3 lock boxes and not clear which one was ours, limited kitchen supplies, upstairs toilet drain/toilet running constantly, shower tray fills up with water nearly over flowing en-suite, dust and cobwebs throughout, bedroom sky light window doesn’t open/handle broken, dishwasher needed rinse aid to work and none was provided, only one mug in kitchen (again I read previous reviews so took my own, but clear owner doesn’t read feedback or make changes). Generally needs some TLC and a good deep clean

Fantastic accommodation, only a short walk from the beach and arcades, would definitely stay here again!

Positive: Everything was flawless. Could not have found a better place for our stay. Very quiet surroundings & ideally located for everything we wanted. Negative: Cannot think of anything in particular.

We would have given a 5* rating for the apartment but for the initial problems when gaining access (inadequate instructions), lack of cleaning and wifi not operating at all during our stay. That said, the apartment is beautifully presented and is in a great central location in Scarborough. We would certainly consider booking a further stay.

Lovely relaxing break by the seaside Positive: Simple modern decor. Good TV. Location Negative: Kitchen equipment is lacking and could do with an update. One glass mug for tea/coffee is inadequate. Rusty cheese grater needs removing. Broken shelf in kitchen needs replacing. Fan in bathroom not working.

Lovely stay at Dale's place. Pictures dont do it justice, as its a lovely big space. Lift up to the 3rd floor was really helpful too, especially with lots of luggage. Thanks!

Enjoyed our stay. Positive: Situation is great. Free parking. Only thing against are small things as in the case we had to go shopping for drinking mugs as there was only one in the apartment and think utensils etc should be checked before people arrive. The flat itself we liked and would recommend it’s just the attention to detail.

Positive: Large apartment with plenty of space. Well decorated and relatively comfortable. The heating was very good. Negative: Both settee's were uncomfortable. The single glazing to the apartment was draughty. It was the first booking where I have not received entrance instructions 24 hours before arrival. They were emailed during my journey so I couldn't access the information properly. Had to get the caretaker to help with entry.

A fabulous location with private parking included. Although on the third floor, the lift was an added bonus and easy to access. The apartment is spacious and light with modern furniture and features. Two bathrooms including a powerful shower in the en-suite and a bath with constant hot water were appreciated after long walks. The kitchen appliances were great but could do with more saucepans if you are planning on eating in. (We could only find one small one). It is a quiet apartment and the owners were very friendly and communicative throughout our stay.

Really enjoyed our stay and visiting coastal towns nearby Negative: Couldn’t get the heating to work but not too cold anyway but heading for autumn so needs to be sorted.

Overall our stay was comfortable but we found the above points unexpected and disappointing. Positive: The accommodation is in a quiet location and is in walking distance of the seafront. Car parking on site is very convenient. Negative: Comfortable but disappointing Whilst the apartment was in a generally good condition we have the following observations: 1. There are several key boxes in located behind the bin store - not one as shown in the guide - this is a bit confusing upon arrival, and a bit of a lottery, especially when access arrangements to the property are incorrect as set out in the guide. - The key box has a combination style lock, not buttons. - There is no ‘…dial at the top to the right to open the box..’ it is a pull down button. - Access to the main door and apartment is by key not by pass code as set out. 2. The apartment was not cleaned very well, when we arrived there were ‘ crumbs’ over the sofas, the bedside lamp was full of dust, the bed has clearly not been cleaned underneath for some while and a couple of ‘items’ were still visible. 3. The duvet cover was flimsy and had a hole in it. 4. The en-suite shower is old and difficult to turn on and off and needs attention. 5. The extract fans in both toilets do not work. They are operated by external switches but turning them on made no difference. 6. The en-suite toilet broke on the first day, this was reported and fixed during our stay.

The Ideal Location Positive: The Apartment was great the location was perfect, a short walk to the beach and town centre. Negative: I didn't realise you had to pay damage fee before you was allowed to process your holiday, it does say on the advertisement if you read everything so that was probably my mistake but we should be allowed to have a refund if nothing was damaged but unfortunately that's not the case.

Brilliant apartment have already booked again for March Positive: Location just a 10 to 15 walk from town centre and beach. Ramshill just a 5mins walk away with a sainsbury's fish and chip shop and other takeaways .parking was an added bonus .apartments very quiet and clean Negative: More space to hang clothes and more drawers to put clothes in.

Really loved the location and the check-in process was really easy. However, the booking for this company is overzealous and requires an extra £250 deposit (+£10 non refundable fee) which was frustrating considering airbnb covers all this. Additionally and considering this is a business and not someone's place the flat wasn't clean enough (quite a lot of dust and loads of mess under the sofas). Besides this, we had a pleasant stay.

A lovely time spent in Scarborough Positive: The apartment is well equipped, well furnished in a quite location not far from the South Beach with plenty of restaurants, pubs & cafes in walking distance. We were primary there to see Pulp at the Open Air Theatre but spent time walking around the South & North Beaches (our preferred) & also spent an enjoyable morning at the Castle. We would recommend the apartment. Negative: The noisy seagulls.

Thought we'd try North Yorkshire and found Scarborough very pretty Positive: Size of apartment was superb Negative: Location from Centre Bloody Seagulls - everywhere Seagull mess everywhere for that reason i would not revisit Scarborough

A spacious and clean apartment. Great having the bedroom upstairs and great it has 2 bathrooms. Having a parking space on site is a big bonus. We loved this apartment and will definitely stay here again.

Host and stay an annoying company to book with however apartment lovely Positive: The location was excellent and had everything you needed in the flat. Negative: The company host and stay bombard you with numerous emails and texts from the moment of booking right through to after you leave. They send you repeated info which makes it hard to pick out the important info like how to get your keys! The wifi info they sent me and on the notice in the flat was incorrect so I had to find my own info to get into the wifi wasting a lot of time.

Positive: Good position, 2 minutes walking to seaside. Nice room and view. Negative: Don't bath there, you can run out of hot warer easily. Then you need to wait for long time for a shower.

Very nice and spacious apartment the only thing we found was the mattress was hard compared to our own but that is a personal choice

This is a delightful apartment,beautifully presented. It is even better than the photographs. It was quiet (except for the seagulls!) and the bed was extremely comfortable. Good value for money. I would stay there again. Roger Kirkwood

Het was een fijn verblijf, jammer van de storende inbreng van de beheerder! Positive: De locatie ligt gunstig, dichtbij het strand en het stadje. Gezellige inrichting. Negative: Te weinig borden, bestek en wat keukenaccessoires misten. Na te hebben geboekt, niet annuleerbaar, kwamen ze pas met óf een verzekering nemen voor eventuele schade óf 500 pond borg storten (die pas 2 weken na vertrek zou worden teruggestort) plus sowieso 25 pond administratiekosten zodat je verplicht wordt de verzekering te nemen. Schandalig! Ook kregen we iedere dag mail vóór en tijdens het verblijf… We zijn op vakantie, niet op kantoor!

The apartment is on the top 3rd floor so it was great that there was a lift. Bit tricky and cumbersome carrying heavy suitcases into the building as there are steps up to the entrance and 2 doors to get through that are close to each other but this is nothing really. The apartment was very clean and spacious but having the light switches on the hinged side of the doors took some getting used to! The wifi worked well and so did the appliances in the kitchen.

Have stayed I’m multiple Host & Stay properties, one of which was another apartment in this building, and they have always been clean and well represented. This place was well kept and the host was responsive and happy to help. Would recommend!
