We absolutely loved this peaceful oasis! Perfect for our weekend getaway. The home feels warm and welcoming with eclectic and thoughtful decor. Vintage feels with all the modern updates. Felt like we were staying at a friend’s house- lived in but not cluttered at all. Clean as a whistle, and the beds were super comfy. We enjoyed the vinyl collection and bookshelves on a rainy day. The pond is peaceful, yet full of wildlife- Must love frogs! The babbling brook was the perfect background noise for a quick hike right on the property. Hosts were available but we didn’t need anything from them then since it was all prepped and easy to navigate. Only wish we could have spent more time there!
Wonderful place What a beautiful little gem tucked away in the woods. Lots of fun trails. House is lovely and stocked with everything you need. Loved our stay and want to visit again in summer!

Where should we start? This place is a hidden gem.. beautiful house, very clean with all you may need and more. We didn’t want to leave! It has all you need to both relax and keep yourself busy with nice hikes and walks among the trees. It’ s perfectly located away from the noises. We had a great time, while leaving we started to look up available dates for the summer! Thank you for hosting us!
I never left an Airbnb and said: "I would come back here." But this place is magical. I came here during the middle of the winter and we had a blast. Can't wait to come back here in the summer. I had coffee in the morning in front of private pond and never felt so much serenity. There is even a private hiking trail in the back of the house. You can tell that the owners have thought about every single detail and put so much care into creating a unique experience. What a hidden gem.
I recently went camping at Red Cottage and had a truly wonderful experience. The setting is serene and beautifully maintained — perfect for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy nature. The lake was incredibly peaceful, ideal for a quiet morning by the water or a refreshing dip in the afternoon. The hiking trails were well-marked and led through some stunning scenery, offering a great mix of forest paths and open views. We especially loved winding down the day at the campfire site, where we could relax, share stories, and enjoy the stars. If you’re looking for a spot to recharge in nature with just the right amount of adventure, Red Cottage is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!
A great outdoors experience! Excellent place to chill and relax especially for folks who don’t mind the natural environment, wilderness and rustic style. Very peaceful and the cottage was adequately equipped. The pond was nice too - couldn’t get myself to take a dip with the frogs and tadpoles but hubby and my son didn’t mind them and enjoyed the swim. My brother and I enjoyed the paddle boarding in the pond instead. Had an amazing experience. Highly recommend the place although just ensure that you have the bug spray with you at all times. The hot tub was also amazing!
I loved my stay at this cabin! The cabin was nestled in the woods overlooking a beautiful private pond. You can hear water running from the creek as you walk around the property which was so peaceful. Also, Red Cottage was very responsive and extremely easy to communicate. I would definitely stay here again!
This is a beautiful, peaceful place. It's perfect for a relaxing getaway if you need to just unplug and rest. The area is not bustling with things to do beyond communing with yourself and nature, which was totally fine with us. We enjoyed the pretty landscape, abundant wildlife, and the absolute darkness of night. The climate controls for inside the house is not particularly self-explanatory, but once you figure it out, it's fine. Just something for guests to be aware of. Red Cottage was exactly what we needed to retreat, refresh, and rejuvenate!
Great king weekend getaway. Quiet, completely secluded. Loving to have morning coffee sitting in front of your own private pond. Nothing but nature. House is just as described, exactly as the pictures show. Must be beautiful after a snow fall.
The pond is really beautiful! Spent a large portion of our stay outside admiring the amazing scenery and quiet surroundings.
Very nice house beautifully furnished with everything we needed. For us and our two little girls the supply of books and games was more than we could hope for. The book collection was exquisite, many were very old and yet timeless, I wish our public libraries had those! Puzzles and board games in the Josie also kept my family occupied so much that I didn’t have to open the stash that I brought from home, let alone needing to turn on tv (my family is screen free and this was a winning point). Kitchen had stainless pans which was very important to a health-obsessed freak like me, as most Airbnb places that I’ve visited usually just have non stick scratched Teflon cookware. The only thing that wasn’t 5 star was bedding. Mattresses were a little too soft. But that’s personal preference. And I felt like the first floor bathroom was made for giants: kids couldn’t reach the sink without a stool (thoughtfully provided by the owners). And I could barely reach shower head , I’m 5’4”.
Very private. Loved the pond. Kids and dog never got bored. Clean and inviting. Felt like home. Would definitely go back again and would highly recommend to anyone looking to truly relax and enjoy peace and quiet in nature.

Where do I start. This place is magical. We booked the cottage Friday-Sunday. We didn’t want to leave so we reached out to our host to see if Sunday night was available so we could enjoy just one more night and it was!! If we could’ve stayed longer we would’ve. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. You are surrounded by trees and a beautiful pond. This is by far the most beautiful AirBnB I’ve ever stayed in. The autumn leaves falling and beautiful colors. The cottage felt like home. It was spotless and full of all the amenities my family needed. I could go on and on. We can’t wait to visit again!!!
Beautiful home and location - exactly as pictured! We had a wonderful stay here. The property is exactly as described and is unbelievably beautiful. If you want the feel of camping with the comfort of a home, this is it! Our dogs loved how much they could explore and swim and it was great for us to be able to let them without worrying about other people or pets. Our only critique is that the AC unit on the first floor doesn't do much to cool the space. The only place we were able to get cool in the late afternoon was the upstairs bedroom. We still had a wonderful time and found the place incredibly comfortable, but worth noting for others considering staying here in the hotter months of the year. I truly cannot recommend this home enough and actually already have recommended to several others!
Our stay was perfect! Exactly as pictured and described, we loved that it was pet friendly. A very clean and spacious Airbnb with all you need for cooking and hanging out. The swimmable pond was clean and enjoyable for a hot afternoon. Thank you for a great trip!
The pictures do not do this place justice - it is beautiful. The house is roomy and comfortable. The property is private and peaceful. We had a great time walking around outside with our two dogs who enjoyed being off leash and swimming in the pond. We had a couple of minor issues, but management addressed them promptly and courteously. Definitely recommend!
My friends and I normally don't get to vacation a lot due to our busy lives. Red Cottage opened us with welcome arms. Plenty to do. Lake was amazing especially with the paddle board. Spotless place and very cozy. The surroundings were beautiful and the hot tub was a nice treat when it was chilly. I'd buy this place in a heartbeat if I could. Thank you again for hosting us!
Our group had a wonderful time at this property. The check in and check out was fairly easy. The land itself was great for walking. They had everything we could need for supplies in the kitchen. Great wood stove (with wood on site) and living room area for movies and hang outs. WiFi can go out but it’s easy to reset. Hot tub was great. Clean new and large. Overall would definitely book again.
This airbnb is a great getaway and very private. The property has lots of areas to sit and relax outside. The only reasons I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was 1. The upstairs bedroom has large windows in the bathroom and in the bedroom, with no shade. We had to make our own by hanging up blankets over the windows. 2. We didn’t have enough hot water for 5 adults to shower. 2 of us had to take a freezing cold shower. Lastly, the location is about 30 mins from some of the more popular hiking spots and restaurants/breweries. I didn’t see many paths or trails to walk along near the property, and it’s off of a very busy road. So we felt limited in what we could do. If you’re looking for a remote cabin, this is a perfect getaway. But if you want to explore, expect to drive a bit. Aside from that, the place was beautiful and clean and the host was very responsive and accommodating!
Awesome place to stay in the Catskills ! Had a great weekend with my new fiance on our engagement weekend !! Stayed an extra night because we couldn't leave ! Thank you again - we will be back for sure !
This house was lovely for a remote weekend with my boyfriend & dog. A few highlights: -great living room with the ONLY comfortable couch I've ever had in an airbnb -well-furnished & clean bedrooms -spacious kitchen & dining area -nice property with pretty views Unfortunately a few days into our stay the water well pump broke,and the house lost water. The hosts were really easy to communicate with, which brought a lot of comfort during a stressful time. They offered to switch us to a different property, but since it was NYE weekend there wasn't much available. Instead we opted for a refund and switched to a hotel, and the owners were super apologetic and thoughtful. Despite having this issue, I still would highly recommend this house. It was exactly what we wanted in a cabin getaway, and the hosts' responsiveness and assistance made a huge difference during an unexpected emergency. We will be back!
This is such a great cabin for a weekend getaway! It was so quaint & cozy. The kitchen is full stocked, which was very appreciated, as we cooked most of our meals there. We were sad that the hot tub didn’t meet our expectations because that is a big reason we chose this cabin! Also, the bathtub was not functioning, so there was only 1 shower for 6 people. Management is going to address this so hopefully the second full bathroom will be up and running soon! The location is great.
Thank you again for letting me stay there. It was a nice place to wait until I had to pick up my kid from her winter camp.

Amazing, beautiful, serene place with all amenities
The cottage, pond and property offered privacy and seclusion, but the black flies were biting and and AC did not keep the house even remotely cool during our 90 degree week. Three wooden dining room chairs were ready to fall apart and were not safe to sit on. Upon arrival, we found black dog hair on the dining room tablecloth and inside the downstairs shower. The upstairs tub was nice, but the handheld shower head did not work at all. The kitchen was small, but functional with the exception of enough utensils for a party of six. The hot tub was very nice. The lake was refreshing and clean. I think this rental might be better in the cooler season or winter, if you can get up the driveway. The nearby reservoir does not offer any recreation, but has some nice viewpoints.

This place is so beautiful - even more beautiful once you are there. The living room with the stunning tall windows and extremely cozy couch is a great place to spend time together. The bedrooms are well furnished and comfy. The kitchen is totally well stocked. The location is super pretty. Highly recommend renting this place!

Host was very helpful and responsive. The cottage was cozy and the interior well decorated. There was much to do at home with the abundance of books, board games, and movies. Walmart was a short drive away which was very convenient.
