Frog Hollow is a beautifully updated three-bedroom cottage nestled deep in the wooded hills of the Ashokan Reservoir, in the hamlet of Marbletown, 20 minutes from historic downtown Kingston. Surrounded by mature trees and the kind of quiet that city life is missing, this enchanting retreat pairs classic cottage charm with modern, updated finishes throughout, making it an ideal escape for families and small groups ready to slow down and breathe.
Arrive to the warmth of a classic front porch, which invite you to settle in with a coffee and let the forest set the pace before you've even stepped inside. Through the front door, a welcoming foyer opens into a beautiful sitting room that immediately signals the character of the home: warm, unhurried, and full of charm.
To the right of the foyer, the dining room flows into the chef's kitchen, a thoughtfully renovated space with everything you need to cook a delicious meal. To the left of the entry, a spacious living room draws you in with a big, cozy couch, generous seating, and a TV for rainy afternoons or quiet evenings in. A staircase at the back of this room leads up to the bedrooms.
All three bedrooms are on the second floor. The primary bedroom is a restful retreat with a king bed and a private ensuite bath appointed with a clawfoot tub, double vanity, and walk-in shower. This property is a 20 min drive from downtown Historic Kingston, one of the Hudson Valley's best outdoor, cultural, and culinary experiences. The historic Stockade District and Rondout waterfront are lined with independent restaurants, shops, and coffee shops that reflect the region's creative spirit. Visit Rough Draft for a coffee while perusing their books, or head to Mirador for tapas and wine. Woodstock, a 15-minute drive north has live music, galleries, and eclectic boutiques. Stone Ridge is a 20-minute drive to the south. Belleayre Mountain is 40 minutes west for skiing. Hikers will find Catskill Preserve trailheads within a short drive and Minnewaska State Park 40 minutes away.
