Ellison Bay Retreat - Little House in the Woods — Guest Reviews

10/10 Positive: The house had everything you could possibly think of in the kitchen! Included heated floors! The fireplace was nice to have while we sat in the living room unwinding from the day. There was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy vacation. The sun room was also great Negative: Nothing. It exceeded my expectations

This was a clean, cozy, and quiet spot to spend a 4-day weekend with the family. Despite being in a private, wooded area away from the hustle and bustle, every place we went was just a short drive away (20 minutes at most). Communications, finding the place, checking in, and parking all seamless. Beds were comfortable, kitchen and baths all good. A/C, Wi-Fi and TV worked well. Upstairs bedrooms were warmer than downstairs as expected for a 2-story house, but keeping it a little extra cool downstairs made the upstairs reasonably comfortable. All things considered we would definitely stay here again!

The location ended up being absolutely fantastic. We were worried about being so far north, but it ended up being a lot better than other locations we've stayed, which were south of Sister Bay. The house is beautiful with lots of comfortable chairs and couches to lounge after long hikes. It was really hot the week we visited, our bad luck, and the bedrooms do not have A/C so it got really warm in those rooms. I don't think that would be an issue during normal Door County weather, again just our bad luck. Showers were great, and having a washer/dryer was handy. Watching the birds at the feeders was a nice touch.

Door County Annual Family Stay Very clean and well stocked property. Decor is very pleasing and interesting; thoughtfully done. Furniture was very comfortable and plenty of seating for our group. Very quiet neighborhood and a good number of wildlife visitors. We enjoyed our stay very much.
