La Finca is a custom-built Northern White Pine log home with 2,663 square feet of living space, set on 7.4 wooded acres in Warwick, New York, with a forested setting, rolling lawns and valley views just two miles from the villages of Florida and Warwick.

Inside, the open living area features an interplay of wood and clean white lines with vaulted ceilings and large windows that look out over the property. The home is divided into two distinct wings. To the left, a long breezeway leads to a light-drenched, open-concept living area, And to the right, the bedrooms lie in their own separate wing, so the party can go long into the night while kids or other sleepers remain undisturbed.

The open country kitchen is set up for group cooking, with a large cooktop, a wine fridge, a spacious pantry, and a breakfast bar for casual mornings. A large dining table sits by a bay window, so meals come with a view of the trees. The modern cylindrical wood-burning stove warms the shared space in colder months, and sets the tone for your cabin escape.

La Finca sleeps 8 guests across four bedrooms. The sprawling primary bedroom is upstairs, with a king bed and an en-suite bathroom with soaking tub and a separate shower stall, plus a dual vanity. This private upstairs retreat also features its own office with an external monitor for remote work.

Bedrooms 2 and 4 each have a queen bed, and bedroom 4 has a bunk bed with two full beds. A full bathroom with a tub/shower combo are shared among these guest rooms, and a half bath in the entry foyer completes the layout.

Outside, the home is fully equipped for outdoor living. Four wraparound porches and a large deck give everyone room to spread out. There’s a private hot tub for unwinding after dark and a landscaped fire pit with adirondack chairs for cool evenings, and the driveway fits up to four cars.

La Finca runs Entirely off of its solar array and geothermal heating and cooling system, so while it stays warm and cozy in the winter and cool in the summer, this is a fully eco-friendly retreat with modern systems throughout. The only fossil fuels you might use are for cooking up some burgers or steaks on the Weber grill outside while entertaining your group.

Warwick’s Main Street, with its shops, cafés, and restaurants, is about five minutes away. Wineries, orchards, Greenwood Lake, Legoland and skiing at Mount Peter or Mountain Creek are all close by. La Finca is a modern, design-forward, and fully equipped home for your next getaway.

The area

La Finca puts you a few minutes from Warwick’s walkable village, where Main Street is lined with shops, cafés, and restaurants.

Spend an afternoon tasting at Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery or Applewood Winery, or grab a pint at Drowned Lands Brewery. In the fall, pick apples at Pennings Orchard, then stop for a cone at Bellvale Farms Creamery.

In summer, Greenwood Lake is the spot for swimming, boating, and paddling. Hikers can walk the Pochuck Boardwalk and climb the Stairway to Heaven on the Appalachian Trail in Vernon, NJ, or explore the trails at Sterling Forest State Park.

When the snow falls, ski and tube at Mount Peter or head to Mountain Creek in Vernon. Families can make a day of LEGOLAND New York, and every October the village comes alive for Applefest.

La Finca is about 1.5 hours from New York City. A car is essential for getting here and exploring the area. The main access routes are I-87 and NJ-208 N. The driveway is plowed in winter, but we strongly recommend a 4x4 or a car with four-wheel drive to handle snow.

Notes from your host

The home runs on a private well with whole-house water filtration. The detached garage is not available to guests, and the driveway offers parking for up to four cars. Pets are not permitted. Warwick is bear country, so please use the bear-proof bin for garbage in the warmer months and keep all food indoors. The hot tub is unattended and used at your own risk.

“I WISH I COULD LIVE HERE!! This was the most well-furnished Airbnb I’ve ever been at, they have literally everything you would need and more! The kitchen and living area are stunning and far away from the bedrooms so as to not disturb anyone sleeping. The privacy and peaceful surroundings were perfect while still only being 15 minutes from downtown and other attractions. The only regret is that we couldn’t take advantage of the hot tub and fire pit because of the weather 🙃 but we can’t wait to go back!”
