Place was perfect for the two of us celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. List said it could accommodate four but that would have been very tight. My favorite part was the back yard. We used both the fire pit and the grill. The fence offered great privacy and we could relax and enjoy being outside. A bar down the street had live music going every night and while we could hear it and make out the songs it was not distracting or otherwise a problem. Our only two complaints, and they are very minor, were the coffee maker and outside lights. The house did have a coffee maker, with filters, but it was very small for two coffee snobs. It worked fine but we needed to make a few pots each morning meet our usual coffee needs. The other issue was a lack of outside lighting. When we had the fire pit going the lack of lighting was nice but trying to get it goin, or using the grill, holding my phone light was a challenge. None of these would stop us for renting this house again.
The place was clean. Very convenient to beach and downtown. Had a great yard for dogs.

Great place to stay! The yard area was wonderful - our pups loved it! The outdoor shower was a bonus.Everything was as expected, maybe a bit better. We definitely want to come back again.
The pictures are online or not what you get when you get there things are very different. They are under a stage 3 drought yet all of the properties around them had plants blooming, grass was green, trees healthy. they just had dead weeds and garbage in the yard Rusty fire pit, rusty grill that was unusable. nowhere to unpack there’s no closet there’s no shelves for your food. There’s no pantry. There’s nothing literally you’re in the kitchen you turn around you’re staring at the sofa and the door then you step through a little space that’s the bathroom a place for bedding and the bedroom with one nightstand and an open shelf. The floors felt sandy and dirty when we got there they looked dirty, they are concrete no rugs It’s decorated really cute but it is so small. We had a lot of problems with ants and bugs. We had issues with the AC they had to come and have it serviced while we were there then while we were gone, the pest control sprayed the counters sprayed around my food my pets bowls. I had to throw mostly everything away. The refrigerator froze everything that was in the back half ruined the rest of my food. They gave us 150 credit for the onslaught of issues and 20for the cheap grill we bought CVS to cook. The mattress on the bed needs to be replaced so does the loveseat. Thing were very worn and not in good shape. Would not recommend this cottage

Great customer service from the rental agency! Loved the private backyard and the outdoor shower after days at the beach and the hose to bathe my dogs. Home was as described. Awesome location. Would book again!
We loved our stay! 5 minutes from ice cream, pasta, Mexican, BBQ and bars. 20 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute drive. Great secret Spanish garden backyard shower to wash off the sand and soak in the evenings. Clean sheets, great clean beach aesthetic and airy vaulted ceilings. Also large comfy mattress. Strict check in time of 4pm but there's so much to do around it's easy to kill time. They sent helpful reminders of checkout duties at the end of the stay which was helpful. May be a good idea to bring ear plugs if you go to bed early. The bar Shorty's across the way plays live music on their patio till 1 or 2 am. I was fine but my partner did mention it kept them up.
The place was cute & in a good location for walking. It's in a community of other rentals & mini homes. The mini-split AC didn't completely cool the house. The 'bedroom' was always warmer, and the dehumidifier was loud. The curtains let in a good bit of light, and the AC unit emits a good amount of light too. Very late check in and very early check out, with no flexibilty. So don't count on any extra time. Overall it worked out for our little weekend, but felt expensive for the 2 nights we were there. The 'bedroom' doesn't have a door, so if you are traveling with friends or another couple, there wouldn't really be any privacy. The fence around the property was nice, and while being in a community of other rentals, felt private. I'd consider staying here again. Just wish there would be a little flexibility in check in & check out, and that the AC would cool the bedroom. Again, location is walkable to restaurants and other attractions. Solid 4-star place.

This place was so cute and quiet. Tucked in a little neighborhood. Super walkable to shops nearby and good restaurants. Everything was clean. Bed was comfortable. Loved that it was dog friendly. Everybody was nice and kept to themselves we were there at the tail end of spring break and it wasn't loud or anything. Our unit the lock worked but you had to put in the code each time to shut the deadbolt which was a little weird. Bring all the coffee/kitchen seasonings you need and your own beach towels/chairs. Would definitely stay here again. No complaints at all, had a great weekend!
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at this cottage. We were extremely comfortable and loved that we were tucked away in a neighborhood while being downtown. We were in close proximity to everything. Sand Key Vacation Rentals were lovely hosts, this is an amazing place to stay!

Great location in the middle of town. Quiet backyard with outdoor shower and hose. The floors are stained concrete, which was great for the dogs. Just note, there is no actual door between bedroom and the living area if that matters to you for privacy.
The place was exactly what we were expecting and is in a great spot of town close to beach access and on the main strip.
Overpriced for all the work “required” in the check-out procedure , which is a super early check-out (standard is always 11 AM literally anywhere else). They refused to let us check in early even though it was ready (we sat out in the heat waiting the clock to strike 4 as per their rude message stated). Strict and strong wording about partying (we got it, we were just one married couple, no need to write to us like we were a frat party.) Just underwhelmed after staying with a different super host and the communications and kindness that were over the top kind, welcoming and warm - right before this stay. I’d suggest rewording your messaging to your guests and treating them like people instead. And an upgrade to literally any other broom/dustpan would be a huge impact, low investment.
Good stay here. Right off of Alistair Road so very convenient to walk or drive. No bugs of any kind that we saw. The only issue we had was with the toilet, on the first day we had to plunge it, as it had filled up with water, and we didn't put anything down it at all. After that it seemed to be fine. Will stay again.

Great place to stay but I felt that the dog hair was a little much. I know it's dog friendly which is great but dog hair was on the dishes, in decorative bowls, pots and pans, etc. But overall great place to stay.

5 minutes drive to the beach - very nice. Easy check in. We were aware of the construction across the fence. They did start working every morning around 7:00AM. In the photos the patio is swept clean, the plants are lush and cared for and the patio furniture has seat pads. That was not the case - (but we were there for the beach). The Kitchen was clean and useful. The bedroom was as pictured as was the yard. We spent our days at the beach and were happy with the cabin. The only draw back was a security light above the front door that stayed on all night - no off switch - and it did shine all the way into the bedroom. We did really like the cottage. However the cleaning fee of $150 & the Airbnb fee $91.91 + taxes - Makes the cost at or above a very nice Hotel room.

Cute bungalow-style house in "Spanish Village" with pleasant and spacious outside patio, which we used quite a bit. The house is relatively small but efficient and clean, nice provided amenities, good supply of kitchen hardware and related cooking tools. Unless you have small children (fold-out couch), this is mainly a two-person unit. Comfortable bedding. We had 1-2 issues but management was extremely quick to respond and/or fix. Walk-to nearby restaurants, Paul's fresh fish market, and shops on "north" side of Allister. The local IGA grocery is 2 minutes away, and a quick drive to the beach puts you in right by the pier ("0" sign marker). Hard time accessing local network "air" TV stations but if you've come to Port A to watch tv, you may be missing out. Wonderful weather, clean beach during off-season, high tide and super full moon, refreshing water temp, and drive-right up ferry coming and going.

Great little Casita for two plus furbabies! Close to fun places for 21+, we were able to walk at night to the fun, no cart needed. Please note it is a contracted host, they are responsive. They arrived to drain a clogged line from the mini split but we had NO hot water during our stay, not fun when time to shower.
Great Location Great location, quiet neighborhood
Sadly my husband and I did not have a good experience. We checked in on a Sunday and on Monday we realized that the automatic lock was not installed correctly and by pressing the top button of the lock anyone could unlock the unit without a code. This is a huge safety concern. I reported it Monday. It was not fixed until Thursday morning and that is only because I called multiple times. We also had no hot water on Tuesday from about 7p to about 9:30a on Wednesday. The biggest disappointment though was the management office staff and how rude and not helpful they were. A unit that locks and hot water are basic necessities. We ended up leaving a day early and thankfully airbnb support was wonderful and helped us resolve the issues and get a refund. Overall there are far better places you can stay for the price.

Good location and comfy bed. Very private cottage which was nice. Listing says check out is at 11am (or at least it did when we booked) but it is 10am which they were inflexible on despite the discrepancy in the listing. You’ll want to confirm that when booking if it still shows 11am.
We've stayed at a few places in Spanish Village and this was by far the nicest! The home had modern finishes and was very clean. The yard is very private and the outdoor shower is an especially nice touch after the beach. You can easily walk to the grocery store, ice cream shop, and Beach Street which has our favorite restaurants - La Playa and Venetian Hot Plate. Highly recommend staying here 👌
This little cottage is the way to go for an economical option that is still nice. It was immaculately clean and smelled great! Comfortable king sized bed. The leasing agent was super responsive, helpful and gave great recommendations for our needs. The cottage has obviously been updated on the inside, has cute decor, and a comfy couch. A great, affordable place for 2.

this is a good place and we enjoyed our stay. the bathroom was a bit cramped but manageable. the off season price made this place all the better. the fenced in area was very nice and made you forget your surroundings and easier to relax. we definitely have this one ear marked to come back.

Overall enjoyable, relaxing stay for a couple and dogs. Simple older beach house, not new and fancy. Some more pros and cons: Pros: location- great walkable to beach and restaurants and easy driving to other places yard- fully enclosed and perfect for our dogs comfortable and clean Cons: extra charge a bit high compared to other places we have stayed a bit hard to find exact house at check in; exact house # would have helped house has basics; no hair dryer; coffee maker but no coffee or condiments, plastic wrap, etc.
Very nice, private, and user friendly. Everything is in good condition and well kept. Comfortable size, but might present difficulty’s for more than two people unless they get along well. However, that’s a people problem not an accommodation issue. Overall, we loved it! Would definitely return-stay this.

My husband and I truly had a wonderful stay! The house is right in the middle of town which made it super easy to get around by golf cart. Everything was as advertised and very clean! Our pup also enjoyed the stay as the yard is securely fenced. We will most definitely be back!!

Extermination services and sink We love staying at this property and have rented it several times now. The sink in the bathroom is not draining properly and needs to be unclogged. I also recommend extermination service due to several large cockroaches inside the property and an infestation of fire ants outside.
Wonderful little cottage worth repeat visits! My husband and I love this little house in the heart of Port Aransas! It's well-maintained, cute, offers all the privacy of a private home with a gated and fenced yard, and is perfectly located. Many things are within walking distance. This was our second stay at this house, and we love it so much that I can't imagine staying anywhere else now! I can't reccommend it highly enough!
Very Cute Comfy bed so didn't mind that TV in the living room didn't get Netflix and had to binge watch from bed:) Backyard is very cute. Only down sides was TV in the living room and BBQ needs a new rack in it. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants and grocery store. Would definitely stay there again.

Not what we had expected We walked in and we're shocked at how small the place was. The pictures are very deceiving online. When we walked in we immediately noticed a dead cockroach in the living area and then another one in the bedroom next to the bed. I went to the bathroom immediately when we got there and there was dried urine on the seat. So we knew it had not been cleaned in a while. The dishes had dried food all over them when we went to use them. At that point we just hoped the bed sheets were clean. We actually ended up leaving and not staying our 3rd night bc we were so uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place.
Clean but buggy Everything was as described. Everything was clean. It was comfortable. There were a few issues tho. When we walked into the property, a very large cockroach was staring at us from the kitchen counter. There were also a few (3) very small roaches in the bathroom. Finally, the last few minutes at the property, I was picking up trash in the private yard and stepped onto a small piece of plywood lying on the ground in the corner of the property. Suddenly, it gave way and I sunk up to my knee in stinky black water and mud. It was seriously foul! It got on my shorts, all over my leg and soaked both shoes and socks. I was able to take my shoes and socks off and rise off with the hose. Afterwards, on the 3hr ride home, my wife said that I definitely still smelled like sewer water, even tho I’d rinsed off and left my shoes and socks in the back of the truck. The place seemed pretty nice until that last 3 minutes there. Just needs some extra pest control and a steel plate over that damn hole!
Family stay Tiny home, or Casita, whatever you want to call it. The king bed was very comfortable, my 6yr old had no trouble with the couch bed, and my 1yr old was great in her pack n play which I put next to the king. The place was well furnished, comfortable and quaint. The kitchen was severely lacking in good quality cooking utensils, pans and pots. There wasn't even any salt in the cupboard. So beware. The outside was fantastic! We loved the outdoor shower, and used it every time we came back from the beach (the cold handle didn't work, so we ended up using the hose, same difference). Cleanliness was okay. It smelled immaculate when we first walked in, but we later found that there were some clumps of dog hair in the house and especially on the front patio. But it is listed as pet friendly so I wasn't too grossed out. We aren't allergic or it would have been a problem. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Great spot! I really enjoyed my stay and wish I was able to stay longer. It’s a great little place and had everything I needed. The only thing I couldn’t figure out while I was there was the 2 remote control situation. I got you tube to play the first night I was there so was able to watch movies but the next two nights the movies would never load. It wasn’t a big deal since I really didn’t sit around and watch tv all day haha. I will definitely be back!
Summer Vacation We enjoyed the cottage , it was very clean and it had everything we needed. We loved how close it was to the beach. We especially were impressed with the outside shower which we used everyday after the beach. We will definitely rent it again.

Wonderful Property and Privacy Privacy fence surrounded the entire property. Great place to stay for two people (and small dogs of course). Minutes from the beach, supermarket. Right off the main strip. Very cozy accommodations. Fire pit, outside shower (indoor shower too) to rinse the sand off. The BBQ pit was a bit rusty so we didn't use it, but that would be the only issue I can think of. WiFi was strong and consistent. Would definitely book this location again!
Family friendly oasis We LOVED this property! It was perfect for our little family (2 adults, 2 kids & 2 small dogs). The privacy yard was so cute & comfortable & felt like our own oasis. The space was clean & had everything we needed. My ONLY note to future renters is not to leave any food on the counter unless it is in an ant-proof container. We had leftover pizza & could not fit the box in the fridge so we opted to leave it on the counter & woke up to ants. Obviously this is nothing that would sway us from staying here again, just a heads-up ;)

Fled Rental in Under 24 Hours RENTERS BEWARE, IT'S A DUMPSTER FIRE. They can not guarantee you'll have a working toilet at any point when it rains. The property is old and the toilet quit working. All they could tell me was they could do anything about it and we just had to wait and hope it would start working. We had to make 5 trips in the rain to a gas station down the street. We fled the property in less than 24 hours since it was forecasted to keep raining. They did refund 2 night base price but with the fees and insurance we paid around $500 for 22 hours there.

Cute property, great location! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this little house! It was the perfect size for just the two of us, and the fenced backyard was great for our dog and outdoor grilling. The outdoor picnic table's umbrella provided some much-needed shade in the sun, and the shower out there was really handy after spending a day at the beach. Both the yard and interior were well cared for with nice landscaping outside and a modern, clean, and open interior. The little kitchen was the perfect size for meals for two. Couldn't have asked for a better location! Right in the heart of Port A with close proximity to restaurants, bars, and the beach. Despite being by the main road, the house itself was somewhat tucked away and quiet. This was the perfect spot for our getaway and I hope to visit again soon! Thanks for such a nice experience!

Beach Cottage We stayed with our 2 sons 12 and 9 and our two dogs. The cottage was lovely, well stocked, very clean and beautiful. The outside area is equipped with fire pit, chairs and picnic table. We appreciated the privacy fence , and enjoyed our time outside. The cottage was in walking distance of some good restaurants. We drove to rhe beach,, but you could walk.

Best House in Spanish Village The house definitely exceeded the expectations we had based on the photos. It has been beautifully remodeled. Even one of the neighbors admitted it is the best house in Spanish Village. The place is dog friendly with a totally fenced in yard and we loved the courtyard. The place was noticeably clean when we arrived and was well stocked with the essentials. It was surprisingly quiet for being just off of the main street in the center of town; main street is far enough away and there is a school in the back of the house. Next time we stay on Port Aransas, we will check the availability of this house first.
The place is great but management was rude. Upon arriving we loved the location, and the location within the community is great. It is one of the cottages on the backside, so it offers more privacy in the backyard. The yard is very nicely done with large palm trees and outdoor shower. The redo of the cottage is well thought out, and worked great for the two of us. When we got there was a huge dead cockroach on the floor in the living room. There was long black hair clumps in the bathroom and kitchen. It makes me worry with COVID that they cleaned very well. I cleaned all the surfaces again with cleaner we brought. When we stay here we don't expect 5 star service, but we do expect a few small things. Our stay was only 4 nights. They gave us 2 small trash bags for the kitchen. One extra roll of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels. They provide a coffee pot but no filters. There were 3 dishwasher pods. When I called in the morning upon realizing we didn't have filters to even make the coffee we brought the property management was very rude. We brought all of our food so we didn't have to go into restraints and stores. Going to CVS was not something we wanted to do bc of COVID. We bought 150 filters for $1.50. They should have provided those. There should also be enough trash bags for one per day. You are cooking and have food to through out so not to stink up the place. Each night the trash needs to go out. Now to the bed. It is lumpy, and makes a lot of noice. The bed was one of the worst I have ever slept on. We go to Port A every year multiple times a year. We stay in the Spanish Cottages several times over the years. This just was not the best experience mainly due to management not providing a clean and the bare bones items you will need. Overall the actual place was nice. I can recommend it if you can get over the bed.
Wonderful place! Great place and super clean with everything you need. Backyard is great too. Called them with missing part to coffee maker and they came with new one right away. Very responsive. Only thing bed is very comfortable just noisy along with headboard. We will definitely stay here again and will recommend. ThAnk you!
