We had a wonderful stay! The lake access is absolutely beautiful, the surroundings are incredibly peaceful, and the house is in perfect condition, exactly as shown in the photos. The Red Cottage team was 10/10! We had a few questions during our stay, and they were always quick to respond and very helpful. We would definitely book again!

We had a great one week stay here. The location is truly magical and the pictures dont fully do it justice - you are surrounded by trees, and have a gorgeous lake view plus pool. The house had a few small details that could use some maintenance but nothing to take away from the overall experience. We could easily drive to hikes, and theres a general store with yummy breakfast food just 5 minutes away.

We had a very nice experience. The house has everything that's needed. We really enjoyed the pool, the hot tub, and the lake, the beach sand too.

There were pros and cons at this place. First is the bed. Since I have trouble going up and down stairs we decided to take the downstairs bedroom, but the bed was so low and especially with the wooded barrier around it, I could not get in and out of it easily so I slept on the sofa (which luckily was comfortable). There needs to be a larger table on the wrap around porch. We like to sit outside with our coffee and eat but the table they have is too small to do that. Also an umbrella down by the chairs on the pool deck would be great because it got very hot and was not comfortable to sit there very long. The location is wonderful--so quiet and peaceful but not too far to get anywhere. It was so nice sitting on the porch with only the sounds of birds in the air especially for my husband who is an avid bird watcher. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and we took full advantage of them. Also was told there was a kayak and canoe available but could only find a paddleboard.

We stayed for 3 nights as a family of 4 (2 adults, 6 year old and 3 year old) and had a wonderful time. We were looking for a peaceful weekend away from NYC, and this was one of the cooler Airbnbs we have stayed at. Very private and remote, great pool, fire pits, access to a little beach and pond for fishing (not swimming). We cooked a few meals in the kitchen, has all the basic necessities and also had a few games for the kids. Great little cottage for a getaway.

Great place to relax with privacy, pool, and views of the lake. Looking forward to coming back.

Amazing stay, good location to relax and recover.

Beautiful spot! The cottage and surrounding land offer plenty of privacy, and the interior is warm, comfortable, and well maintained. It’s a wonderful place to get away from the city and truly recharge. We especially loved having access to a private lake.
