We had an amazing stay and we can’t wait to book this house again! The views are breathtaking, the house itself is very well equipped, especially for children and toddlers, and everything was extremely clean. It is quiet and secluded but also not too far from great restaurants and farms. Highly recommended!
The house was beautiful and had amazing views. The outside was quite uncapped. The pool area had a lot of broken tiles. With small children that would’ve been unsafe the biggest problem was the driveway. It is very difficult to navigate overgrown filled with potholes and unkept. There’s also an abandoned house at the bottom of the driveway with broken windows…. Very unsightly I was not sure at all that I was in the correct place given the pictures I saw online.
Excellent property and vacation home! Everything was very clean upon arrival even though they had back to back bookings! The house is kid friendly with toys in the living room, highchair, safety gates by the stairways, and an adorable children’s bedroom, complete with tent, toys and fun bed slide. Lots of space indoor and out. Pool and hot tub were a highlight. There’s a grassy area for playing ball. Swingset in a clearing. Communication with Red Cottage was quick and we appreciated that. Altogether the attention to detail made our trip wonderful. Thank you!
The listing is spot-on—everything was exactly as described. The view was incredible, and the property is exceptionally private and peaceful. The pool was a major highlight: very clean, with floats, lounges, and a shaded umbrella area. The kitchen was impressively stocked with everything you could need. Inside, there were plenty of toys for the kids, and the upstairs bedroom/playroom with crib and changing table was incredibly thoughtful. Each bedroom and bathroom was clean and well-appointed. The yard is half fenced, and the gated driveway let our dogs run freely and safely. Great playground on-site, too. We stayed during a 100°F+ heatwave, and the HVAC kept the house consistently cool and comfortable. Red Cottage was very responsive to any questions, and I’d definitely book again!
We had a great stay and everything was as described. This is a perfect place if you have kids, we had 3 toddlers and they loved all the toys and the outdoor playset. A weird thing to mention is that the towels and bedding felt luxe, sometimes you stay at places and you know they have cheap towels and bedding and this felt like a home. The kitchen had everything we needed. We didn’t get to use the pool or the hot tub but im sure that would be incredible in the summer. The hosts were quick to respond. We really enjoyed our stay.
Casa Manzara is truly a gem! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the unbelievable panoramic view stretching as far as the eye can see and the stunning, thoughtfully designed interiors. The renovation is a soothing palette of whites and neutrals that perfectly complement the large windows framing sweeping mountain vistas. What sets this listing apart is how exceptionally family-friendly it is—hands down the best we’ve ever experienced! The hosts have gone above and beyond to cater to families with little ones: a changing table, step stools in the bathroom, baby gates on the stairs, a 4-seat kids' table with chairs, two high chairs, a dedicated playroom, outlet plugs, night lights, and even a swing set! For adults, the home offers ample space to relax and gather, making it perfect for a family retreat or a group getaway. The combination of luxury, comfort, and functionality is unmatched. We’d give Casa Manzara 6 stars if we could!
Beautiful home for a family trip. One of the cleanest homes I’ve stayed in. The Howe was fully stocked with everything we could need. It is close to things to do but also private if you want to stay at home and enjoy the views.

I loved the place but wished that the hot tub was fixed before we got there, would have been great to use it. Regardless we had an amazing time, also FYI there kitchen is fullyyyy stocked, they had EVERYTHING
This is by far the best place I have ever stayed at in NY. The home is truly beyond incredible, with an unbeatable view that is very rare to find. The host has maintained the place very well, everything we needed was readily available in the home. And was very clean, very neat and well kept with clean sheets and towels. Instructions were clear and everything was operational. Without a doubt would give this beautiful home a 5 star rating. Thank you to the hosts/owners for allowing us into their home. And thank you to Redcottage for the fast communication and general assistance.
