The home and the property were great! Everything was super clean and as described. We really enjoyed the wood fired hot tub and sauna. The hosts’ videos on how to operate both were helpful and appreciated.

Overall the place was picturesque and the listing was close to the description. The home was a little more worn and loved than was shown in the listing but clean and had most of the items listed , anything that was missing we got insta catered to us by host. A few issues we had that may be helpful for future renters; there are no paved or shoveled walk ways to the home or amenities you must clear a path for yourself. The hot tub was not usable because the hose was frozen solid and the hot tub itself does not have jets and must be filled yourself. There are only two bathrobes so to get to the sauna in the winter you need a jacket. The host was quick to respond but it feels like the home and its offerings need a little TLC to match the price.

The home looked exactly like the photos and was really nicely furnished. Everything felt comfortable, thoughtful, and easy to use, like a place that’s actually lived in. The Casper mattress, pillows, and linen bedding were super comfortable and we slept great. The kitchen was very well stocked with good-quality cookware (including Le Creuset), and honestly had everything we could think of needing. The wood-fired sauna was a highlight, and there was plenty of firewood for both the sauna and the indoor fireplace, which made the stay extra cozy. The only small thing that would have made it even better is having a couple more robes for four guests and maybe slippers, since there aren’t any rugs. Overall though, it was a great stay and we’d happily come back.

Property is slim to none, just as described. This was an architects dream to say the least. Host was extremely responsive and addressed all concerns. The amenities were wonderful and well thought out. I would highly recommend this property and will be returning in the future. The Red Cottage Group is 100% worth the 5 stars here.
