Overall a beautiful home, great kitchen. Beds were comfy. Was a little frustrated that I inquired before our arrival about coffee maker and was told they had a coffee pod machine. Had purchased $50 worth of coffee pods to find they had a drip coffee machine.
There were >50 nails on the beach outside of their home (backyard). Even though they had a sign to wear shoes (outside), this felt incredibly unsafe given the nails would go through our shoes easily if stepped on. The property management did come out and picked up some nails, but there were still nails on the property the day after they came.
The pool and hot tube were both freezing and we were not told beforehand that the pool and hot tub were not heated.
It was a lovely home and fit my family and my sister’s family easily. Small beach town vibes with an easy walk to the beach.
Great vacation home
Our stay at Bermuda Sunset was great. The home was beautiful and clean. When planning our trip, some of the family wasn't sure about staying on the Bay side, but everyone has agreed that it was the perfect place to stay. It was close enough to walk or ride over to the beach and ocean, which we did and enjoyed; however, it was great to be on the bay and be surrounded by water throughout our stay. It was so calming and relaxing. The water was clean and shallow enough for our grandkids, ages 5 and 7, to play without worrying about them. We all loved all of the sea creatures (crabs, fish, frogs, but especially the dolphins that we saw on 2 different occasions). We enjoyed having the amenities of the kayaks, the pier for fishing, sandy area at the house for lounging and the the relaxation of the deck space for rest and enjoy the beauty that God gave us. We loved the big kitchen and enjoyed cooking breakfast and preparing lunch, and also loved having the grill. We used it one evening for dinner. We really wished we had stayed at the house more and prepared food there rather than going out to eat.
For future renters, I would suggest bringing a couple of fans to use on the decks. It gets very hot and there aren't any ceiling fans to help with cooling. Also, remember to bring extra washcloths and towels. Additionally, there are a lot of steps at the house, so be mindful of that when booking your stay. My legs got some much needed exercise. LOL
My only real negative comment is regarding the pool and tennis court area. The pool was very dirty, in and around it (frogs in it and the hot tub), and the ladies restroom wasn't very clean. The men's restroom was locked, so the men had to use the ladies. We took paddle ball, but the tennis/paddle ball court was it such bad shape that it made it dangerous to play (several chunks out of the pavement). Considering the community that the house is in, we were surprised that the pool and court was in such poor shape. It was disheartening that we weren't not able to enjoy these two areas as much as we would have like. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the house and hope to stay there again someday.
Thank you!
Hello, thank you for the let of your beach house. It was beautifully situated. The view is lovely and the layout perfect for a large family vacation. :) We were surprised at the sparsity of small things like kitchen towels, extra blankets etc…..but nothing that we couldn’t solve with a trip to the store. The water for showers, dishes etc never really got hot. But again nothing that we couldn’t deal with. Cool showers are supposed to be good for you. lol We had one significant issue, the house when I booked it, is advertised to have access to the community pool and hot tub. As we were traveling with someone who was physically handicapped and they could not swim in the ocean, this was a huge part of the reason I chose this house. I was given a code that did not open the pool gate. I reached out several times over a few days, and although I got prompt responses that were kind, the problem was not resolved. We found other ways to have fun. But for future guests I would make sure that is sorted. All in all a lovely stay all the same. 👍
Beautiful Location
This is a beautiful location, but there was issues. First when we arrived the trash cans were completely full and the smell was horrible. You could smell the odor from the house. We called the property managers and was told the trash would be picked up on Saturday. We arrived on Tuesday. The A/C could only be turned down to 72. It was hot. The hot water was another issue. If you enjoy cold showers? The biggest issue was, they did a home inspection for their home owners insurance on a Saturday. WTH? This was A family vacation and we had to wait around on our Saturday for them to do this. We ended up missing our breakfast reservations, and had to take our daughter to the airport because of this. To say the least we were not happy. I think this property is poorly managed. It’s a shame we paid that kind of money and couldn’t fully enjoy our vacation
Fall Fun
Our second stay at this fabulous home did not disappoint! It's spacious, clean, and the views are beautiful. The bedrooms are all very large with comfortable beds, each bedroom with it's own full bathroom, and living area is open and has lots of room to watch TV, play games, enjoy family. The kitchen had everything we needed - and we cooked every evening (fresh fish and crabs from the dock). We felt really lucky to experience both sunset and sunrise views - so peaceful on the bay side. There was a new home construction next to the house, but we didn't notice loud noise and the workers weren't distracting. Hopefully the new lot won't inhibit the beautiful views of the bay.
The guest service staff was attentive and helpful - we ran out of propane on our first night, and they brought a new tank the next afternoon. The check-out process was easy and the information was clear. We'd love to stay again in the future!
Both of our trips to Navarre we found a great lunch spot - Where Ya At Seafood Market and Restaurant. We bought fresh seafood to prepare at our house, but the lunches were great! Closed on Tuesdays, but recommend everyone try this cool spot.
GREAT VIEWS INSIDE AND OUT
This lovely home in a small gated community was a good central location for exploring the area! The unobstructed view of the bay was incredible, with the expansive windows facing north from all three main-level rooms - kitchen, dining, AND living room. HIGH ceilings added some grandeur to the already luxurious atmosphere. The decor was exactly as pictured with everything in soft whites and beige. I loved looking out our primary bathroom window and patio doors early in the morning to experience the horizon at sunrise (north) with pelicans, herons, and a few water birds flying by. There are LOTS of stairs to the front door and up to the bedrooms, so we planned our trips up and down more carefully. Neighbors are very close, with the advantage of an empty lot to the west for now. The bay water is shallow so the long pier helps when fishing. Cold weather drew the fish away this trip. The "town" of Navarre Beach is only a couple of miles east and has 3 main restaurants and a gas station. The pier there is SO long - to get out to deeper waters - but a great walk ($8 fishing/ $1 walking). To the west, there's a long, beautiful drive through the Gulf Islands National Seashore towards Pensacola Beach and Fort Pickens. Small dunes and stunning waterways the entire way. Any beach area in February could be your private playground. It was too chilly to enjoy the community pool but it looked inviting. This is a home for relaxing and using as a home-base for the area. If you love the beach, you'd have MILES AND MILES of perfect white sand to enjoy. (SCENIC STAYS STAFF WAS ALWAYS HELPFUL AND RESPONSIVE VIA PHONE OR MESSAGES!!)
Our third house in Navarre and this was by far our favorite. Loved the kayaks, closeness to the sound and the private pier. Inside was gorgeous and very clean.
Recharging our battery
we had an amazing time and have already book this house for this Oct. for two weeks. 5 out of 5 or 10 out of 10 is all I can say. It was so enjoyable to either relax on the sand in the backyard or take a short walk to the beach and relax.
We enjoyed staying here! It was quiet and peaceful! It was clean and well supplied. The only supplies that we needed or needed more of were dish towels and hot pads.
All was good. Furniture could have been a little cleaner, especially for what we paid to stay there. No essentials and this was an issue. Other than that, it was a beautiful place.
Beautiful view.
It could’ve been better it could have been cleaner
Enjoyed our stay at the beach! The house provided easy access to the beach and the dock was an added bonus.
Overall this house was by far the cleanest we have stayed in. The location was peaceful and close enough to the beach to walk as long as you weren't taking ALOT. We drove since we had lots of little kids and beach gear. Only took about 3 mins. Kayaks were a plus and we even got to kayak right by dolphins that were playing in the sound. Beautiful views and comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen with ice maker!
Bermuda Sunset was as described, bright, clean, & nicely decorated. Fully stocked kitchen. Great location on the back bay. 2 balcony’s overlooking the fishing pier & back bay. Fishing pier was a great addition, having the ability to fish & kayak or sit & view the awesome Navarre sunsets. Easy beach access & access to Opal Beach. The Caribbean Isle is a gated, safe, friendly & clean community. Easy to access & walk around. Pool was clean & appropriate for the neighborhood! Great friendly community. Would stay again!
We’ve been coming to this neighborhood and staying for our summer vacation for 5 years. We’ve never stayed at this particular house, which is run by a large travel corporation.
Upon arrival the house seemed like it was in decent shape but I’d expect a little better from one this newly built.
The kitchen photos reflect a built in oven and microwave combo that were not working at all when we got there. I had somehow missed the cheap microwave and small toaster oven sitting on the countertop. After flipping the breaker to the oven circuit it crashed 20 minutes into cooking. Scenic Stays denies anyone telling them anything has been broken. I don’t see how that’s possible.
Most of the bedrooms felt comfortable, but bring your own pillows if you want to sleep well. The middle and back upstairs bedrooms did not seem to cool down very well.
The views from the patios and dock are simply amazing. The main reason we come to Navarre Beach and this neighborhood.
No I wouldn’t stay here again
Cannot beat this location. My boys had a blast fishing off the pier. Great little beach for my daughter to play. The kitchen was well stocked with various pots and pans/glassware/etc, and the pool was super close! We also loved that every bedroom had a bathroom, and the upstairs balcony was a massive win.
The only thing is the quality of the actual beds. The full bed on the bottom bunk for the kids had a large divot in it and even my eight year old couldn’t use it for sleeping. In addition, the queen bed on the main floor could use an upgrade. We wouldn’t hesitate to book this place again pending those were upgraded!
We enjoyed our long weekend!! The house is just as pictured! We’ve never stayed on the sound as we’ve always chosen to be on the beach, but we loved being on the sound. The beach is very close. 10 min walk or 2 min drive. We loved having the pier. Saw dolphins every morning. The guys loved fishing off the pier. Highly recommend!
Beautiful home in a peaceful location. Loved the comfortable lounge chairs on the rear deck, and the beds were decent. We had a couple of repairs needed when we checked in, and they were super responsive and got them take care of right away. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay again. Thanks for letting us stay!
Good atmosphere and house was beautiful. Very relaxing and beautiful view
Beautiful place along the beach! Quiet & peaceful. Really enjoyed!
home was clean ,comfortable, quite, beautiful view of bay waters,it was just perfect
Nice place right on then water with great views . Be prepared to bring cleaning supplies , the vacuum didn’t work , bring paper towels , and cooking pans , the pans were old and I wouldn’t recommend using them . It’s a huge place and nice every room has its own bathroom . We arrived about 15 minutes early and couldn’t check in until 4:00 pm , but noticed the sprinklers went off right at 4:00 pm so it ended up getting the inside of our car and bags wet so be prepared to wait until the sprinklers turn off before you check in 🙄. Overall it was a nice place , and nice to be right off the water with the pier.
Outstanding, clean, private had a wonderful time
Our 2nd time renting this house. We love it and will be back. 10 out of 10.
Fall vacation
This is our 2nd time spending our vacation at this house and it won't be our last lol. it is a 10 out of 10.
thanks for having us.
My time at Bermuda Sunset was great
The Manager of the house was wonderful she went above and beyond to make our stay as great as she could
It was ok but the house had been hit by lighting previouly so we had a few electrical issues but they took care of it quickly all in all we enjoyed it very much
Beautiful Views, Perfect Neighborhood, but with House issues and Management woes
This is the second time we have stayed in this neighborhood in back to back years. The views, privacy, and location could not be matched. Of course, these amenities come with a price. However, this time we left feeling we didn’t get the same value we did a a different home last year.
Scenic Stays is the management company that runs the property for the owners. We have had to deal with them in the past. Their text and app services are very quick to inform you when to check in, what codes you’ll need, and when you need to checkout. If you need something, do not use the text or app. It’s useless. Call them. And if they need an answer from the owner, forget it.
We arrived on 7/5 from a 9 hour drive about an hour early from checkin. After sending a message requesting a early checkin with no response, we we tested our luck and were able to gain access. The fridge was broken, we had to bring the one they dropped off upstairs into the kitchen (that was fun) because they were just going to leave it in the garage…how convenient. You can’t turn the air down below 72. The house had several unfinished areas and some lighting appliances missing. No golf cart key.
I don’t think they’re quite ready to host. We made it a great time, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. It was just a little disappointing for that kind of money.
Beautiful home but outside yard needs attention.
We were not given a gate code for arrival. Had to call the “emergency” after hours line and it took 35 minutes on the phone for her to get the code.
Upon arrival there was no option for us to control the temperature of the house. The thermostat is digital and stayed black, like it wouldn’t come on. I let them know I didn’t know if it was working or not because there was no way for me to tell. The first night it wasn’t miserably hot but towards the morning it got pretty warm. I let them know that it didn’t seem to be on or was set pretty high. Someone came out to look at it and determined it needed to be reset. Not sure what that meant but it required them leaving and coming back to fix the issue. When she returned she said she had fixed it and she set it on 70. We thought that was fine. However it never got down to 70, the thermostat constantly read 72 and when we tried to lower it to 70 for us to go to bed it would go right back to 72. It was programmed so that we couldn’t change it.
Not given the code for the private dock. Had to call and the operator said it was not available for use by renters. I had to explain to her that the listing specified there was a private dock that reached 200ft out for use. She then figured out the code. Back yard is sand which is great. The main issue with this property is that it’s if FULL of nails and other sharp debris. You must wear shoes when walking in the yard. There is a warning sign in the yard letting you know shoes need to be worn
