This was our third or fourth time staying in this exact house. We love it Positive: Close to everything we love to do

This place was perfect loved how close it was to the pool . Pictures don't do it justice definitely think some updated pictures would be in the works because it was way nicer than we expected private enough to have quiet time but also close enough for golf cart ride to all the local restaurants and bars we had a blast!

Loved that the rental had a separate downstairs room for the kids to hang out in. As well as the wraparound porch. It was conveniently close to the pool. Would definitely stay here again!

Pros: The property is in a great neighborhood, very close to the beach! You can walk if you don't mind the heat, or it's just a 2-minute drive. The pool was clean and almost always empty, so we had it to ourselves. There are plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, gift shops, and gas stations nearby. The home is spacious, well-equipped, and matches the listing photos. The hosts were also very attentive throughout our stay. Cons: Overall, we had a good experience, but the property could use some updates. The upstairs was clean and comfortable, though the kitchen cabinets and bathroom show their age. The downstairs needs more attention: several floor tiles are broken, the AC is very noisy, the washer and dryer are next to a bed, and the furniture feels dated. We enjoyed our stay because we used the upstairs, but the downstairs was dark and noisy. We'd happily return if staying just upstairs again avoiding downstairs.

Stayed here for three nights with 6 people(4 kids), could easily and comfortably fit 10 people. Perfectly located between two beach access roads, both less than a five minute drive. Restaurants and shops are also just a quick drive away.The kitchen was stocked with all the essential cooking gear, dinnerware and utensils. There was a small grill that may be too small for larger groups, but was perfect for us.Bedrooms were spacious and each room had enough dresser space so that we didn’t have to live out of our suitcases during our stay. The first floor bedroom was perfect for a kids retreat.The deck had a perfect view of the pool where our moody teenager spent most of his days and we were able to keep an eye on him and call him in for dinner. The deck has plenty of seating and was a nice spot to end a busy day. Everything was nice and clean when we arrived and the air conditioning was a relief after a day at the beach. Would defiantly recommend and stay here again.

One of my favorite places I’ve booked in Port A. We will definitely be staying again!

We are a family of 11 and this is actually my second time staying here. We enjoyed every minute of it , it’s very close to the beach and the pool was nice. Definitely would recommend this place and will be back with our family!

Everything was really good except the bbq grill wasn't usable

Great stay we had in the multi level resort condo. Pool was walking distance, place had all the kitchen items needed to cook or grill out. Only thing I would add is more towels and sheets. One pillow had no sheets. I would stay here again

We enjoyed our stay. Accommodations were great. Our only issue was finding the place. Google Maps took us down the block. It would be helpful to note which building in the community it was rather just a picture. 2 of the buildings are the same color and it’s confusing. There are numbers on the buildings but the instructions didnt include the number. Once we figure it out, all was good

Location of pool was perfect. Upstairs was perfect. Downstairs was a bit rough. Need a few more cooking supplies in the kitchen. Overall it was great and we will be back.

Stay went well, was misunderstanding of layout, I thought there were 3 bedrooms upstairs but luckily 2 people canceled so it was fine. Didn't like that there was only 1 bathroom upstairs, family didn't like shower downstairs and wished there was a fridge down there. maybe a microwave also. Upstairs door was difficult to get in. overall a good stay.

Great location near the beach!!!! Kids had a blast!!!

Great unit and great location We've stayed at other units in Sunday Villas but this was out first time in this one. This is a great setup for a family with 2 queen bedrooms upstairs and has the benefit of a separate unit on the lower floor with an additional 2 queen beds. It was perfect for us with a toddler in one bedroom and older / adult kids in the lower unit. We had a minor issue getting in, but the property manager was very quick in helping us out. The property was clean with good AC in the upstairs and downstairs units. We really like the location, an easy walk to the beach, and a couple minute drive towards the ferry and other restaurants in businesses in that area, but it tends to be a bit quieter than some of the other more party-heavy streets. The pool is in the center of all the homes directly across the street from this unit, nice and clean when you don't want to be on the beach. Highly recommend this property, love the location and overall setup, property manager is quick to address any issues and the unit has reasonable and clear checkout policies and fees.

The house was super cute and looked just like the photos. The upstairs toilet wasn’t cleaned properly and several dishes were dirty upon arrival. And the kitchen and patio lights were out upon arrival. Other than that the stay went very well

Loved it was an amazing weekend getaway

Spent the weekend here for labor day weekend wasnt at the home much but when I was enjoyed every moment, favorite moment about the home was being a easy walk across the street from the pool !

Airbnb was great, but we were really disappointed with Sand Key. They did not appear to be up to speed on the home or how to get into the bottom unit. Upon figuring it out on our own, we discovered the downstairs unit door lock was broken. It could not be locked safely from the inside. The lock just spun. The only way to lock it was a newly installed keypad bolt lock that could be opened without a code, and very easily from the outside. We spent our entire vacation trying to get them to fix it and they did not. Only half the unit was safely usable. They tried to tell us the lock was not broken once we left, but we provided video proof and pictures to Airbnb who had to step in and refund us the amount we requested. The overall property was pretty run down and did not match the pictures. Broken flooring, broken and stained furniture, rotting windows that let bugs in, etc. I would not rent from Sand Key again.

This is our second stay at the BeachShak and third stay at Sunday Villas. We love it and it is perfect for our family.

This was a nice experience in a really cool home. I really enjoyed that there was the main floor and then the suite underneath both with a bathroom. I couldn’t have asked for a better location. Really close to the beach entrance. We walked to the beach some days and others we drove. The home also was big enough to park your vehicle underneath the porch. It felt like a private home even being in a neighborhood with a few other of the same layout of home. I would definitely stay here again! The host was great and answered any question I had within minutes. The community pool was very nice and it was bigger than some of the other community pools I’ve stayed at in Port Aransas. Great experience for my family and I!

My Family n I had a Great stay. Our first condo rental. Condo beautifully decorated. Our Condo faced the pool, which was temperature ready. Seeing You Guys, soon and I will RECOMMEND to All in San Antonio, Tx. Can’t wait

Perfect far the family Fun family trip

We had a great time. The price was right for the distance to the beach. We bought a pass and drove each day. Walking it would have been to hard with all of our beach stuff.

Highly recommend this place to whoever stays there. Great location. Pretty much close to where all the restaurants/bars are located. Beach is close enough to smell the ocean. All in all great place

Great location! We come to Port Aransas about 3 times a year. We hardly ever stay at the same place. Location is important to us - we like to be along 11th street for convenience to the beach and town, We would definitely stay here again- loved that it was on 11th street but it is in the back of the neighborhood so it is also private. This was one of the best places we have stayed at.

The only issue we had was that there was a pile of dead bugs and a couple of live roaches behind several of the furniture. it's to be expected being near water but still gross in my opinion. We did bring it to their attention at check out where they were apologetic about it and said they'd have someone look into it. Other than that, it was in a great location. The beach wasn't very far. Overall a relaxing and nice get away to decompress!

The price was reasonable for what it was, but the whole place is in need of some better furniture, bed linens, and pillows. Is a bit tired and worn.

Absolutely gorgeous

We stayed for a fall break get away an and the house was perfect! We were just beside the pool, and weren’t that far from the beach!

We enjoyed the house, but the downstairs air conditioner was leaking and running down the wall making a pretty good puddle on the floor. We called and the maintenance man came out and said the line was clogged nothing he could do, to just leave it off. Luckily there is a window unit to keep it cool. The leaking one had mold on it, I wiped it off, but you could see the mold in the vents, we had to move the bed to keep it from dripping on the bed, they did bring us extra towels to use. The floor needed to be mopped, other than that the beds were comfortable, and the house was clean. If your bringing groceries the kitchen really doesn't have much room to store them. The keys got locked inside the downstairs and they were fairly fast to unlock the door for us. The house is in a good location, close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The neighborhood was really nice, over all we had a really good time.

Not happy with neighbors There was four or five houses that were all related they were very loud obnoxious and stayed up a very late I really do not appreciate that

Great place to stay! This was our second time renting this condo. We love that it has the beds downstairs for our teenagers to stay. We will be booking this place again for our family trips!

Interesting Layout for multiple families Overall the stay was comfortable and this place is spacious. I might consider it again honestly. Our biggest complaint was the loud construction almost the whole time even Saturday and Sunday, hard to sleep or enjoy the outdoors when they were so loud. I liked the separate downstairs unit but not the worry about locking the door if I went upstairs to hang with friends and kids wanted to stay in the room. Downstairs is very spacious and the pictures do not do it justice. Love that it has its own bath. A mini fridge would be nice. Downstairs had multiple broken drawers, NO HEAT [spring break still got in the 40's, thankfully extra blankets) and the main TV control never worked so volume was insane. Also there is no cable so be prepared to login and logout of your account. Also if you were to accidentally lock the keys in the downstairs with no one in there you would be screwed, it should also have a pin code lock. Upstairs was nice, spacious porch to hang out in. Plenty of room and well decorated. There were lots of dishes to cook and eat with. The fridge was way too small and older model to hold food for 10. The dishwasher was poorly located and had to be extra pushed to stay closed. The table extension flap was broken so awkward for one seat as it could not go up. Parking is foone SUV TOPS! Even two small cars would be an unlikely fit. Nice pool and so close to the beach. Easy proximity to everything.

Bday Wknd Overall, it was an awesome spot and it was a very much needed mini getaway. We did have to kill a roach on our last night there but other than that there were no other creepy crawlers. Place was pretty clean but we felt like the floor could’ve been swept and cleaned a little better as there was sand getting stuck to our feet wherever we walked prior to our beach outings. Other than that the location and setting of the property was great! Will be back again!

Sunny fun in #15 We enjoyed our stay and the house was a near-perfect fit for us. The downstairs room was great for our teens, but didn’t cool down as much as we would have liked. Luckily I’d read other reviews and brought along an oscillating fan😁 Upstairs accommodations were good, but the railing around the decking is not safe for little ones. Several of the boards are loose and spaced too far apart. Our 2-year-old grandson could easily have slipped through so we didn’t spend much time on the deck. The pool was wonderful and never crowded. Overall, I believe we would come back but would check on the repair of the deck railing.

The worst place ive stayed in port a I go to port a at least 6 times a year, this year being my 5th time and i have never stayed in such a dingy place. Before we check in, thry call to tell me the stove and oven are broken and they got a little toaster oven and burner thing in there. We HAD 10 ADULTS THAT WE CLEARLY STATED WE STAYING THERE. Then the downstairs bedroom was scorching hot the entire stay, i sweat every night i was there. I woke up at 3 am to use the rr and it overflowed. There were also 3 large alive roaches. This is all in just the bottom room where i stayed . neighborhood looks questionable. Im just not very happy at all and i should be.

Great place to visit during COVID times The house location is great and it’s very easy to reach two different beach access points. The management was very responsive through the VRBO chat. The only thing that isn’t totally clear for the next visitors is that you don’t check in at the office. Go straight to the property address at 4 and they will call you with the lock box code. This information wasn’t provided clearly originally so hopefully this info helps the next person. We brought all of our own food and supplies so we never had to go to a store which was great given that no one seemed to be concerned about wearing masks. The beach was easy to distance too. I will say that I wish parents wouldn’t let their kids mingle with other strangers and that people would take covid more seriously but this property really helped give us peace

Comfortable We enjoyed our stay! It’s pretty warm downstairs but that’s mostly just the Texas heat.

The perfect little spot! This little house was amazing! Decorated so cute!!! The set up is different but we made it work! With kids of all ages the pool being directly in front was perfect! Short golf cart drive to the beach! I would suggest removing the open grill, glad we didn’t even attempt to bbq on it due to the massive tree around it and maybe a few more dishes would have been great (we cooked A LOT) We will come back to the bungalow community!! We loved it!!!

Good small community The community is super cute. It’s nestled in a sort of culdesac with the pool in the middle. If you have kids, this is ideal since there is little to no traffic coming in since it’s only residence that’s are there. The property we stayed at was cute. There was an upstairs with two rooms and a downstairs that has a separate entrance. The upstairs was a little musty but when you go downstairs, we had to open all of the windows because it was almost unbearable. Other then that, the place was clean. Beds weren’t too comfy (sunk in the middle). Minor issue was the dishwasher was rusted all over the place so hand washed until we left (instructed to leave dishes in the washer when we checked out). Rental claimed it was renovated but you couldn’t really tell as everything looked like it had been there for a while. We hung out with a friend at a rental a couple houses down in the complex who’s place was truly renovated and almost new. Staff was great and communicated well. Over all it was great outside of the mustiness.

Great visit to Port A! This little house was perfect for us! The 3 bedrooms were a perfect fit for our kids and their friends who joined us! The pool was nice for everyone to enjoy in the evenings after the day at the beach. Management answered any of my questions quickly prior to arrival. My only disappointment was the charcoal grill; it’s an old Park type built in the ground and very small so we weren’t able to grill like we had planned. Having 7 of us we would have had to cook the food I brought in waves so we just ended up eating out for dinners instead. Also were only supplied 3 small rolls of TP. Would have been nice to have at least 2 rolls for each bathroom being they were small rolls. This is a quiet community very close two beach access roads. We rented a golf cart for the 3 days we were there and were able to get around all of Port A easily from this location. We will be back!

Cutest enclave of round houses! Ours was adorable! Have been coming here for over 25 years, it’s quiet and close to everything. Glad they held up well after hurricane!

Summer Getaway I have wanted to stay in one of these houses since I was a little girl and it was not a disappointment at all.This house was great with lots of space the downstairs room was nice and spacious and gave everyone some breathing room from each other. It was very well cleaned and stocked with plenty of towels.

Easter Vacay Stay was amazing! We all loved it, took my family, mother and sister. Was very cozy like home. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a beach house to stay in. My kids loved it most. The pool sits right in front, well in the middle of all beach houses in this community. We will be using VRBO next year again when we get ready to plan our next Vacation.

Small and clean It would have been nice to have some of the basics provided like shampoo and body wash, as well as wash cloths and Kleenex, and a hair dryer, but all together it was a cute little place.

Wonderful Stay There was a downstairs bedroom, but we didn't use it because it smelled moldy down there. The rest of the house upstairs was nice! Plenty of room for our families.

We love the Beach shak. Always clean and preaentab My whole family loves the Beach Shak. We all have room to stay tgthr. It's always clean and presentable and easy beach access.

No parking for large group. Loved this unit! Would have rated it 5 stars, except for the parking. While the unit accommodates 10 adults comfortably, PARKING was TERRIBLE for our large group. I rented it because it said there was parking for 3 to 4 vehicles. We were only able to fit 2. There is no overflow parking area.

Enjoyed the "beachy" theme of the house and the location Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room, all the necessary kitchen items, etc., close to the beach, pool, etc. There were minor items that needed repaired (which I brought to the attention of the realtor when we checked out) and we would have preferred to have the stairs inside the house so we could go up/down without going outside.

The property was in great condition. Everything was in great condition, and very clean. Renting the property was easy, quick, and painless. Manager was helpful, quick to respond, and friendly. I would definitely use their services again.
