A Place in Paradise Unit B — Guest Reviews

Mon and Laura were a pleasure to host! The house was very clean - floors were sand-free and felt squeaky clean. This unit is at the rear of the house and behind unit A, but we didn’t hear the neighbors through the walls. Quiet hours begin at 10 pm and prior to that we could hear golf carts stopping at the stop sign near the house. The laundry room is outside at the back of the house. When we had a small problem with the hot water, maintenance came quickly and fixed it. It was convenient to have a beach wagon and several chairs to use. There was a small, plastic cooler in the kitchen. Prior to our arrival I asked if there was a cooler and was told there was not unless another guest left one. I also inquired about an umbrella and was told there was not one, but on the last day, we did see one in the outdoor utility closet which the other guests must have been using for the week or left. The house is walkable to restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. Beach access is a short walk across the main road.

Shelby was a pleasure to host! This is a great spot for a couple who is using the place to sleep but is otherwise not spending much time there. It has 2 bedrooms but would have felt crowded with another couple. It was recently renovated so the bathrooms and kitchen were nice, ice maker worked which I feel is rare, the AC was crisp and cold, and the Tvs were big and worked well. Having the fan in the primary bedroom was so nice too. However, the reviews are correct about the bed. It’s terrible. We didn’t do any cooking so not having a dishwasher wasn’t a problem, and the cheap furniture (“dressers” and night stands and kitchen table) actually worked in our favor because we could easily move things to be where it worked best for us. I didn’t see it mentioned in the listing but there was a box fan in the spare room which is nice for the 1000 degree FL temps! Overall it was great for a long weekend away!

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. As someone who has been visiting AMI for 20 years, I loved this place. It had everything we needed and the location is unbeatable. The hosts had great communication and we felt very welcome. This was our first trip with our 8 month old. Our stay was fantastic.

The accommodation was spotless and location was absolutely perfect. I had one question for the host shortly after our arrival and the response was in an immediate! Definitely 5 out of 5 stars on all accounts and definitely at the top of our list for a return in 2025.
