Loved the home and more beautiful in person. Short walk to the beach

Week of July 4th stay This was our 7th trip to Hatteras Island but our first time staying in Hatteras village. Out of all the places we’ve stayed, I felt like this one was in the best location. Only a 4 minute walk to the beach! The house was nice, very clean and had the best air conditioning of any beach house I’ve ever been in. We left the thermostat on 75 and sometimes even that felt too cool. Bedrooms had plenty of space and all had a closet. Very quiet street and really close to the ferry access. Things I wish I had known in advance: bring extra bug repellent (mosquitoes seemed a little worse here than other places on the island) and don’t bother with a beach cart because the beach access has lots of stairs. And if you want a golf cart, you need to reserve 6 months in advance.

Ocean Cottage Review It is difficult to find a house in Hatteras when you only have four people travelling. Ocean Cottage was perfect for us. Very spacious without being oversized. Nicely updated. Resort Realty was terrific to work with. I am a stickler for communication and they nailed it. Will definitely be booking with them again in the future and, hopefully, staying at Ocean Cottage as well.

The place was super cute and perfect for a sister getaway. The walk to the beach is really only 3-5 minutes depending on how fast you walk, and access is by a boardwalk instead of having to navigate the dunes with all your gear. Very cute neighborhood. Sheets and towels were all clean along with the rest of the house, although I hope they were able to get all of the sand that we left out of there! When I come back I will not hesitate to book this house again!

Very Good Cottage was very nice and clean. Loved the lay out with the openness. Location was very convenient to shops and places to eat.

Great Place! Extremely well equipped home. Very clean and everything worked great. Easy stroll to the beach. We've been to HI for a lot of years and would definitely recommend this home.

Perfect simple beach house This was a perfect place if you’re looking for a basic beach house. It’s a quick walk to the ocean and you can be at the ocracoke ferry in a few minutes. Deck is brand new and the place felt reasonably updated and clean. Would absolutely stay here again.

We loved the close proximity to the beach! The house was clean and just the right size for our family vacation! This is the second year our family has rented from Resort Realty and we won’t hesitate to use them again. They were even willing to mail our personal house keys back to us when we left them in the beach house!

Great housr The beach house had everything we could need for our week stay. The home was clean and furnished. The walk to the beach was short and sweet. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and safe. The walk to the harbor and the shops were a few blocks. Loved Hatteras and its peaceful Oceanside views.

First Hatteras vacation Nice small home in Hatteras village. Kitchen nicely equipped and remodeled . Kitchen has both coffee pot and a keurig. Refrigerator has plenty of space with an ice maker. Plenty of storage area for food in the pantry. Washer and dryer made it very convenient for laundry. The bothroom showers and vanities are dated and worn but everything was clean. Outside deck has plenty of seating. Beach area is great, was only a very short walk. We loved the Hatteras area. Very quiet but still some shops and restaurants close by. Very close to the ferry to Ocracoke and the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum .

Great house Clean, well maintained, cozy cottage. It had everything we needed. Lots of room. Would stay at again. One of the nicest places that we've rented.

Adorable home This is a beautiful home for a smaller group, and it accomodated our family of 5 beautifully. The pride of ownership is apparent throughout, especially if you have stayed in other homes in the past that may have been disappointing. It is well appointed, well stocked, well decorated and CLEAN. The owners and the rental agency obviously collaborate to provide guests with a top notch home for an extremely reasonable price. It is also worth noting that a maintenance employee for Resort Realty stopped over mid-week for an issue non-related to our stay, and he was extremely professional and pleasant. We are absolutely planning to return to this property in 2022. Well done.

Excellent We booked this trip not knowing exactly how far down the OBX it was and wow! We were in for a shock in one of the best ways. It helped that we came off season, as the road the house was on was very quite and peaceful! The walk to the beach was a breeze and not far at all. Heavy rainfall the weekend prior to us arriving caused multiple places to flood including the yard and everything under the house that was not concrete, therefore causing massive amounts of mosquitoes! Fishing in Hatteras was exactly what we were hoping for! The house itself is cute and smaller to neighboring houses but had plenty of room for this family of seven! Having the washer and dryer on the same floor as the rooms was super convenient! The house was clean and looked and smelled fresh! Keyless entry made coming and going easy on all of the adults and older kids! We hope to come back next year!

Cute Cottage Ocean is a very cute cottage. Located 5 houses back from the ocean on a quiet street in Hatteras Village the street was awesome for the grandchildren to ride their bikes with supervision. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and pots and pans and a ton of silverware and utensils. A coffee maker and Keurig is available (we didn't use them). A 4 slice toaster was perfect for our buttered toast and pop tart eaters. A newer dishwasher (very quiet) and refrigerator (double refrigerator doors on top, chest freezer on the bottom and ice and water in the door!!). The two queen beds were a little firm but Amazon will deliver to the house and we ordered foam pads for the beds. A small stackable washer and dryer are located on the main level in a closet to do laundry. The beach access is perfect and the beach was never crowded. If you have little ones, you might want to bring a few plastic plates, bowls and cups. All the dishes were glass. 2 full bathrooms (one with a standup shower in the main bedroom and one with a tub and shower in the hallway) were great for the family. The front deck was relaxing for nighttime stargazing.
