making memories at Sea Isle Sea Isle is the perfect property for a peaceful getaway. The house was clean, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed for our week away. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals in the cottage, if you choose to eat in. If you want to eat out, there are great options nearby. There is a coffeemaker, but we would walk to Ugly Mugs every morning as the walk was beautiful and the people were wonderful. The bedrooms were large enough that a week's worth of suitcase items spread out in the room didn't feel cramped or overwhelming. The beds were very comfortable and the carpeting was appreciated. The two bathrooms were a blessing. The flooring throughout was chosen with the beach in mind. The living room invited conversation and memory making. The deck had various appealing seating and lounging options, but without Skeeter Beater, it wasn't possible to sit outside. But that is the case anywhere has water in the fall.<br /> <br /> If you are looking for activities, places to go, and things to do, there are many options within driving distance. We took in The Wright Brothers Memorial, Crab Daddy Festival, Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, Bodie Lighthouse, OBX Ghost Tours, booked a sunset cruise that unfortunately ended up not happening, shopping, and eating out (enjoying the fresh seafood!). There are plenty of hiking/walking opportunities, such as Jockey Ridge, Pea Island, and the Alligator Wildlife Refuge, if you looking to take in the beauty of the OBX.<br /> <br /> As for the rental, check in and check out were relatively simple. We had a little wrinkle at check in as we arrived after the office had closed and didn't have keys, but after a phone call, someone was there right away to take care of us. And the people at Resort Realty are so kind and gracious!<br /> <br /> We chose Avon for our getaway because we wanted a quiet and peaceful setting near the ocean. Sea Isla delivered. You can't go wrong choosing to make memories at Sea Isle.
