Windfall is our favorite place to stay! The peace of the sound is so present at Windfall- birds coming in to feed, egrets, pelicans - the kite borders across the water, our own forays onto the sound with the boats provided- all add up to a perfect time.

Fantastic location, great sunsets. Great walking location. Beautiful living room, well stocked kitchen great outside decks. We will definitely stay again.

A great place to relax! Windfall is a great place to relax, yet also put in kayaks, walk to the beach (only 10-15 min walk), and enjoy the amenities of the house - mainly the panoramic views of the Sound and sunsets, the hammock, the dock area, and the hot tub. It's got it all, including great fridge, kitchen gadgets, washer/dryer, and two big rooms to hang out in. The interior and exterior are in great shape - this house not only has a special location, but the steps, decks, rooms and facilities are in nice shape. It was our 2nd time - and we loved it! I wish I could submit photos, but the ones already on the Windfall page are accurate!

I had a family of six that stayed in this home. It was very spacious. Everything was clean great location on the water and close everything we biked all over from this house would stay again absolutely if we came back!

We loved everything about Windfall! It’s located close to dining and the grocery store, as well as the beach and pier! The dock was perfect for watching the kids fish and kayak! The house was so clean! The decks were perfect and the panoramic views of the sound were breathtaking! The kitchen was so well stocked with everything you need to cook away from home! I would stay here time and again…. The sunsets on the sound made our trip!

We really enjoyed our time at Windfall. The views were spectacular. There were many levels to the outdoor decking that allowed one to fully enjoy the veiws on the sound side. The dock had ample seating that allowed lazy morning fishing sessions with a near by cleaning and storing station. The house was fully stocked and the decor was nicely done. The beds slept well. The only thing missing is a master bathroom I wasn't a fan of the shared Jack &Jill bathroom in the master bedroom. This was fully disclosed and wouldn't be a issue for some. The home is in a quiet area and nicely situated allowing a sense of privacy. Restaurants and shops are near by. If your in the area I would recommend this home. Thanks for sharing your home we really enjoyed it!

Always Beautiful! Another beautiful stay at Windfall!

Great home, very clean.

Beautiful views comfortable living This is a gem in OBX. Be prepared for stairs galore, it’s the curse of OBX houses. Other than getting your steps in be prepared for a well kept, clean, spacious house. It’s placed perfectly just off the bay at the entry to a small finger of the bay. Perfect for swimming off the dock, kayaking, and any other water sport you want. We biked to coffee and baked goods. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and cookware you’d need. We hosted 24 for dinner and we cooked and ate comfortably. Full sized washer and dryer on bedroom level. Beds were very comfortable. Exceptional water pressure and plenty of hot water. Huge deck was perfect for view magnificent sunsets. Lots of sturdy comfortable adirondacks. Hammock on the porch for napping. Loved this place.

Rest and Relaxation at Windfall Windfall was in the perfect location! It was waterfront at the Pamlico Bay on an inlet so fishing and kayaking were perfect here and it was just blocks from the Oceanside. We enjoyed the deck each morning to view all the wildlife and in the evening to enjoy the beauty of the sunsets! The house is comfortable and updated so nicely. It felt like a home away from home and we cannot wait to return here.

Everything was perfect! The OBX was breathtakingly beautiful, relaxing, and a place to feel close to family and a place to escape the stress of everyday life.

Windfall was perfect! This house was fantastic! Perfect for our family - lots of room, amazing 270 degree views from the main room and top deck - great for viewing spectacular sunsets on the sound, kite surfers and natural settings of water and greenery across the way. The house was soooo clean, it was like no one had inhabited it before us! When looking for a house on the sound, my husband immediately noticed the easy, walk-in area to the sound where he could easily put in our peddle kayaks. The decks and dock (with a place to put in an umbrella for shade) were fab! I thought the house might be a little stark and lacking character . . . I was wrong! The colors throughout were a gorgeous reflection of the shades of the waters. It's well lit, clutter-free and the kitchen was very well stocked. It was beautiful, comfortable, quiet, well-appointed, and well-taken care of. The entire deck area, outdoor and indoor furniture, most appliances and fixtures were in excellent shape, not showing wear, and being of modern and new condition. I'm sure it's a lot of work keeping the deck, steps and other areas in such great, safe, like-new condition! The washer/dryer, dishwasher and hot tub were very quiet, which is not always the case at some rentals. This house, of course, has many steps, as is typical of OBX. I also want to comment on Resort Realty. We could have booked this via VRBO, where we typically rent through, however, we are glad we went with Resort Realty b/c we did have an issue with the range one day, on the Sunday of a holiday weekend. Within an hour or two of our email, a representative arrived to investigate the issue, and giving us portable burners. Within another two hours, a repair person resolved the issue with the electrical aspect behind the range. (We have friends who rented via another realty company during the same time - they had a broken dishwasher and it took almost all week until someone showed up to fix it!). So, kudos to Resort Realty for your keeping our vacation hassle-free! We also enjoyed the convenience (and discount) of VayKLife rentals, which were delivered on time, in clean and great condition. We were glad we didn't have to schlep beach furniture from home (we had no room in the car, and didn't want to bring back the sand). This was worth it! And despite no guarantees, we DID have waiting for us, a hair dryer, some toilet paper, Kleenex's, salt/pepper, some spices and aluminum foil, hand and dish soaps that were already there on our arrival, some maybe left from a previous renter. Note: The Food Lion is not far, nor is the beach. Drive to any, or just walk about 15 mins, through a public walkway, and boom! Gorgeous beach! We've been in many rentals, 3 at OBX, and we have already booked this one for next year! It was a great experience, great location and luxurious rental home!

Excellent My family and I absolutely love the house. This was our 2nd stay. The house is well stocked and clean. The dock is great. We enjoyed a lot of fishing and kayaking.

Excellent Your home was beautiful and we had a great time. We really enjoyed fishing and crabbing off the deck. We saw a pool of sting rays, a deer, the crabs, and caught fish. The breeze was nice and the sunset was beyond amazing.
